The thing I love about Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson is that he’s as much of a fan for this stuff as any of you are, perhaps even more so. Yeah, when he’s working with a Jay-Z or a Big Daddy Kane or an Erykah Badu or someone, there’s a certain intellectual/musical challenge he’ll get wrapped up in, but he’s also sitting back there thinking, “Oh snap! That’s Jay-Z!”So it’s kinda cute - and really, that’s the only word for it - that Questo would drop this video (above) of him listening to a new Gnarls Barkley track on his laptop, apparently after beggin’ Danger Mouse to leak it.Both Gnarls Barkley and the new Roots albums are due in April. Questo dropped word last week that his group just finished mastering the new joint, Rising Down on Friday. He says he’s putting his Kanye shoes on and daring the press to show him anyone whose been more consistent over 16 years with Grade A quality hip-hop albums.

The man has a point.
