· A judge formally charged Busta Rhymes today to three years' probation and 10 days of community service for a pair of assaults involving his former driver and a fan, which Rhymes pleaded guilty to in January. The judge warned the rapper that he'll face jail time if he violates his probation.
· Outkast's Big Boi is working with Atlanta Ballet on a project called "Big," which will be performed at the Fabulous Fox Theatre April 10-13. We'd love to report that this is a reimagining of the 1988 Tom Hanks flick, but it's actually a collection of dance pieces set to Outkast songs interwoven with classical music — and that's pretty cool too.
· Barack Obama's got plenty of celebrity supporters: Ben Affleck, Will. I. Am, Chris Rock, among them. But now, Obama's got an '80s hair-metal musician lending his support. According to The Associated Press, Jay Jay French, guitarist for Long Island's own Twisted Sister, plans on re-recording the band's classic anthem "I Wanna Rock" as "I Want Barack." French, who is a lifelong liberal Democrat whose mother campaigned for John F. Kennedy, said Obama has energized a new generation of voters who'd been apathetic during previous elections.
