Word has spread quickly through the Newsroom about the alleged Lindsay Lohan sex-tape, of which certain websites of ill repute have alleged still images of her alleged sexual conduct with alleged former beau Calum Best (let’s just say that in one of the stills, Mr. Best is probably a fan of the new Three 6 Mafia single, “I’d Rather”). We will not post those stills here for obvious reasons but this follows a week in which other lascivious visual images of certain female celebrities, both new ones and marginal ones, have escaped into the public void: Audrina Patridge, Ashley Alexandra Dupre, et al.

All we can say is, more please. Seriously, if you’re going to be foolish enough to be a public figure making videotapes, then we are going to be only more than happy to indulge in such voyeurism. Plus, we think it’s kinda hot.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the image rehabilitation spectrum, we have Mariah Carey. She is appearing in a Macy’s commercial with the guitarist Santana, Donald Trump and Martha Stewart, that will run in both English and Spanish starting this weekend. The spots were directed by Barry Levinson. (It is like someone took a bunch of names at random, jumbled them together and came up with this entry).
