Oh, what trouble your savvy, 20-something political daughter can get you into. I mean, Senator McCain, admittedly “older than dirt,” probably thought that namechecking waaaay relevant Heidi Montag on a recent campaign stop was a good idea. A great idea. Heck, something for the kids! With their Pokemons and their Speak & Spells and their surf music…
Anyway! The whole thing has inspired the kind of over-attention usually reserved for wannabe child stars, with the likes of even MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough weighing in. (No one on “The Hills” knows who these un-tan, tweed-wearing political elderlies are!) And now, with all of McCain’s talk of Heidi’s, um, “talent,” the folks at Heavy have invited the would-be Leader of the Free World to star in their scene-by-scene recreations of episodes of “The Hills,” starring septuagenarian actors only. (No, it’s not you. You read that right.) McCain, of course, would fill the substantial shoes of Brody Jenner. Who else?? He’s too ethically upstanding to play Spencer.
You can check out episodes of this gem of a series, “Over the Hills,” after the jump, and decide for yourself whether or not the senator should step in as Lauren’s pseudo-boyfriend.
Our personal fave moment is a recreation of a confrontation between Lauren and Heidi (around 1:20). Getting older isn’t all that funny…but apparently getting older and being paid to recreate scenes from “The Hills” is.
This campaign is getting too weird.
