Who Is The ‘Hottest MC In The Game’? Cast Your Vote Right Here!

All hands on deck! Once again, the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust members are picking, sorting and battling over their choices for the top 10 Hottest MCs in the Game. They are considering everyone who has been active from the time of the highly controversial first “Hottest MCs in the Game” — which published in July of last year — up until now.

The artists are being judged on lyrics, flow, swagger and overall impact. You’ll get to see the Brain Trust go at it again on Friday, May 16, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV, when MTV News Presents the second edition of “The Hottest MCs in the Game.”

Obviously, true hip-hop fans will have more than a mouthful to say after the results are in — but why wait? We’re giving you the chance to have your say right now: While we encourage you to send in your full top 10, right now we want you to participate in this poll and tell us your pick for the #1 Hottest MC in the Game right now.

Please note: This audience poll will have no impact on the Brain Trust’s final top 10, but the results will be included in our coverage.

Who's hot right now.... Weezy, Plies, Nas, - no one else is making any noise right now. Rick Ross his album came and went, Jezzy is hot - guest appearing on a lot of people joints right now. G-unit mixtapes are killing the underground circuit.

But who albums you looking for - Lil Wayne, Plies and Nas... everyone else is a step behind them.

Kanye got some hot songs overall as a artist he's amazing but as an emcee he isnt that good. The majority of weezy's s*** is garbage, but he gets an enormous amount of exposure so alot of people think he's the best. Lupe has only had 2 albums just because their classics doesnt mean he should rise to the top. I think we should look at what the artist has done overall before voting. I think the top guys should be Jay-Z,Nas,Snoop,Styles P,Prodigy,Ghostface,Bub B, and any other veterans that are there. Then again this is just my opinion.

Man I'm looking at that list and I dunno man...I'm bumping dudes like Joell Ortiz, Ransom and Papoose, and im just thinking that the two dudes on that list whose album im checking for are nas and game...but games last "cop killa" joint was trash and nas hasnt really been out in a minute. in terms of mainstream then its wayne being marketed the hardest so hes probably "the hottest" but like f*** is lollipop better than big dreams. f*** it im going with game cos both his albums are crack and both his singles are crack - excluding that cop killa trash. weezy just a high motherf***er killing himself and getting bigger and bigger over hype alone. His acappella freestyles are horrible and that for me is letdown - when he comes hard he kills it though, and on stage he brings that energy on another level. so he'll no.1 next yr if his albums dope. but game takes it this yr. lil wayne is the hottest mc in the game. i chose him because of his lyrics, and his flow. snoop dogg, in my opinion, is the next best, followed by rick ross. snoop is versatile and can please any age group and he keeps up with time. rick ross has a certain swagger about himself, and he differs from the rest by being a lyrical genius 2nd to the greatest, tupac shakur. i like many of the others, but they don't bring the hype like weezy, snoop, or the boss, rick ross. 50 cents shouldn't even be on the list as a candidate, because he's not a mc, he's a talker. the game shut him down long ago, and I would like to see where he's selling so many records. i think he pays someone to tamper with the stats. the game, t.i., young jeezy, and of course my man, bun b all have flavor and they spit fire lyrics. i also think kanye is at the top of his game as usual. i don't listen to lupe, but i have heard others say he's good on the ?~*. nas and jay-z are legends in their own right and so is bun b, because they are veterans and have longivity. too bad i could only place one vote, because i wanted so much to vote for #2, #3, and so on. lil wayne is well deserving of the # 1 spot, because he raps specifically on one level and his flow is ill. if it's a cameo, it's as if he adds flavor to the song and you just want to keep rewinding the song to his part. like on, d.j. khaled's "we taking over, or "duffle bag boy". i think that paul wall, lil flip, z-ro and chamillionaire should be on the list. they all have strong flow, and great lyrical talent. i think you guys need to listen to more rap and edit this list. 50 cents name can be removed and replaced by someone that really raps. another artist with mad flow, and has been in the game for a long time and is hot is e-40. i like e-0 and fat joe. they deserve to have been mentioned as well. where are their names? or is this list just for those who recently put albums out. the people coming up with this list are not rap fans, or they would have better rappers listed.

1- THE GAME (Big Dreams is a crazy joint, best song of 2008 so far. The Undisputed King of the West Coast and their best lyricist)

2- NAS (The greatest MC of all time is still reigning supreme 14 years after his first classic Illmatic. If MTV's top 10 list is based on impact then Esco is turning more heads than anyone else in the game right now with his album title and its first single.

3- COMMON (Finding Forever was the best hip hop album of 2007 and Common himself was the best lyricist of 2007)

As much as I dislike Lil Wayne he is the most anticipated dude out, definitely the most sought after at the moment. Jay should be number 2, Lupe is doing great compared to his last album but how can he be put high on the list? He just went gold after how many months and he's not doing any features.
