Who Is The ‘Hottest MC In The Game’? Cast Your Vote Right Here!

All hands on deck! Once again, the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust members are picking, sorting and battling over their choices for the top 10 Hottest MCs in the Game. They are considering everyone who has been active from the time of the highly controversial first “Hottest MCs in the Game” — which published in July of last year — up until now.

The artists are being judged on lyrics, flow, swagger and overall impact. You’ll get to see the Brain Trust go at it again on Friday, May 16, at 10 p.m. ET on MTV, when MTV News Presents the second edition of “The Hottest MCs in the Game.”

Obviously, true hip-hop fans will have more than a mouthful to say after the results are in — but why wait? We’re giving you the chance to have your say right now: While we encourage you to send in your full top 10, right now we want you to participate in this poll and tell us your pick for the #1 Hottest MC in the Game right now.

Please note: This audience poll will have no impact on the Brain Trust’s final top 10, but the results will be included in our coverage.

1) Andre 3000 - Has any of his verses caught a brick? Ever? No.
2) Lupe Fiasco - The Cool was another album that has to grow on me, but if Hip Hop Saved My Life isn't the song of the year, I don't know what is.
3) Black Thought - Two words: Rising Down.
4) Kanye West - Graduation is the first Kanye album that I had to listen to over and over for it to grow on me. Lyrically, not much progress from Late Registration... but he STILL is better than 90% of the ?%@$$#?? out...
5) Phonte (Little Brother) - For all yall weezy f baby lovers out there, soulja boy jockers and all that... Mr. Percy Miracles would smash on anyone of em. Hands down.
6) Talib Kweli - Since the BlackStar album, he aint really brought the same heat and intensity, but he's steadily gotten better with each album. Eardrum is proof of that.
7) Common - Finding Forever was basically BE pt II... let's hope that he really has the "Invincible Summer" he's looking for.
8) Jay-Z - yes, he would be in the top 3 of ppl's all time lists, but American Gangster makes up for Kingdom Come.
9) Mos Def - True Magic flew under the radar too, but his guest verses are hotter than some ppl's albums...
10) Pharoahe Monch - Desire is the most slept on album this year.

The 2nd Team:

In no particular order... Ludacris, Ghostface Killah, Saigon, T.I., Snoop, Nas, Lloyd Banks (if he got the beats that 50 had, best believe his #*@@ would hit harder), Killer Mike, Scarface, Murs.

I'd hate to see a show for the fans of Hip Hop to vote on the Hottest MC without having CROOKED I on the list!!! Its so disrespectful to Hip Hop music not to include the person who has done REAL Hip Hop music for the plain and simple LOVE of Hip HOP and its fanbase. From here and around the world Crooked I made a boring day like Wednesday and turned it into an anticipation like the weekend with his Hip Hop Weekly series for OVER a YEAR. That's what MTV gets for putting a pole online. I haven't heard Game name in so long but yet these dude are calling him the hottest. N1gga, please. I don't care how many times these people vote for Game, he will not be number one because everybody knows that he isn't. That dude has been MIA all of last year and this year. I think that MTV should put a hold on this list until next year because #1 will be the same this year, and if not then the list is so wrong. There is nothing that Game has done to be #1 on the 2008 list. Also, 50's album sold more than his, meaning that 50 is technically hotter than him.

Weezy for the hottest Mc. Notice that it didnt say the best lyrically. Game hasnt done anything for about 1 year. But he did come back recently with pain and Big dreams. But he didnt really impact mainstream. Styles P I wont even comment.

Lil wayne has impacted the mixtape game, Mainstream featuring in many remixes.
