Britney Spears Disappoints Media With Possibly Bright Future
BritneyHIMYM

Britney Spears is returning to the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” tonight to reprise her role as Abby, a flaky office assistant.

In her first cameo, Britney’s character developed a crush on Ted (Josh Radnor, above), who then began dating her boss. In this episode, Abby tries to get back at Ted by hooking up with his friend Barney (the inimitable Neil Patrick Harris).

In spite of reportedly mixed reactions from some of her castmates, Britney’s first appearance was met with great reviews and 10.6 million viewers — a big jump from the show’s usual 8.1 million. Let’s see if people tune in again for her follow-up. The show’s producers seem confident that they will: they’ve apparently signed up the (cough) “embattled” pop star for a third appearance, next season.

Did you catch Britney’s TV comeback? Are you planning on tuning in again tonight?

  5. I LoveD Britney first cameo on HIMYM and i just finished watching it tonight and it was AWESOME, she had a bigger part than last time, and it was really funny..way to go Britney ..love ya!!!
  6. I don't like this, I don't want HIMYM to become a show just to show how Britney's doing. This show should not be all about Britney and how she's doing. Yes, good for her that she's doing better, but I don't want to watch a show about her status! I would rather she has a couple cameos and then stops. She already has one appearence confermed in season 3 but that should be enough.
  7. YAAAAAH SURE !! I lOve Britney and i know she's da best ever ... and what kind of title is this ? Britney Spears Disappoints Media With Possibly Bright Future? why dont you wish her da best of luck?... :S

  12. I think the people that responded to this blog must be teeny boppers. Glad Britney is doing better but she created her own problems. An actress she is not.
  13. I didn't know she was going to be on last night's show but I just watched the episode on cbs.com. Look, Britney has her supporters and she's entitled to them. But she is not an actor. She is not funny and she has no business being on HIMYM. That show is a finely tuned machine and her presence only serves to suck the energy level out of the show. Even Neil Patrick Harris as Barney doesn't come across as funny (and he's HILARIOUSLY funny) when having to deal with her dim-witted delivery. Continuing to use her a ratings boost is going to destroy that show. Yes, it might get a bump the times she's on it but those aren't permanent viewers. HIMYM is going to loose regular viewers if it continues to bring her back. I wish her well and am glad she's doing better but she is not even a passable actor and should be kept away from that wonderful cast lest she drags them all down.
  14. Not gonna lie, I only watched both episodes cuz Britney was on there but otherwise i prolly wouldn't have watched the show. It seemed funny though. She was great on there
