Police are now trying to identify a badly decomposed body found yesterday at McCarren Park Pool, a popular music venue in Brooklyn.

Ring a bell? Yep, that’s the same place the Hold Steady played a few weeks back.

Park workers reportedly made the discovery inside an old pool shed and later told police about “a foul odor” in that area for months. Months?!?

Alexander Kane, the man behind the pool parties, told MTV News it’s “so weird that the guy was there decomposing while our events were happening.” The Jelly NYC Founder continued, it’s “pretty twisted to think about thousands of people drinking beer and partying while a body is decomposing in a restricted pool building.”

It’s still unclear how long the body has been there. Let’s just say the person might have seen the Breeders, Ronnie Spector and the Hold Steady in the afterlife.

This Sunday’s concert featuring Liars is set to go on, as scheduled.
