It’s probably not much of a surprise, especially to the longtime Britney watchers who talked to MTV News earlier this week about what a VMA appearance might do for the singer’s career. But on Wednesday (September 3) it was officially confirmed that Britney Spears will appear at the Video Music Awards in Hollywood on Sunday. Brit will open the show — but beyond that, we have no idea what she’s going to do!
