Jessica StamBy Ashley Mastronardi

NEW YORK — Ever wonder what it's like to be a model? I did, so I decided to follow Jessica Stam at Anna Sui's fall 2009 show at New York's Fashion Week to see what her job is really like.

See, Jess isn't just any model. Although her name might only ring a bell because she dated DJ AM and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis, she's one of the top 10 models in the world (according to Models.com, anyway).

She's currently the face of Bulgari, has many Vogue covers under her belt and is also a Victoria's Secret model. She's only 22 but has been working the runways at New York's Fashion Week since she was 16!

With so much experience, she doesn't seem the least bit nervous as she glides into the backstage area at Sui's show and cheerfully greets the hair team and makeup artists like they're family.

Last night, while millions of Americans listened intently to Barack Obama's plan for lasting prosperity, I, too, sat transfixed. But not so much by his words, exceptional though they were. Rather, I was fascinated by the situation that's apparently developing on his upper lip.

Now, it might've been due to the HD set I was watching his address to Congress on (BTW, Nancy Pelosi in HD = yikes), or perhaps it was the lighting or the angle, but from where I was sitting, it appeared fairly obvious that President Obama is growing a mustache.

Look closely at the photo of him. Note the shadow on his upper lip — there's definitely something happening there. This is huge! This is historic! The president of the United States is growing a mustache! The ramifications of this will reverberate long after the stimulus package has been spent.

Every couple of months, someone comes out with a study trying to link teen sex and pregnancy to popular music, TV shows or movies. They always inspire these alarming headlines like, "Rap Music Makes Kids Have Orgies" or something of the sort that I'm sure makes many parents decide to lock their kids up with nothing but a phonograph and some Mozart LPs (though I'm sure back in Wolfie's day, there were people saying the same thing about him).

This week, the American Journal of Preventive Medicine published a study that shows a link between exposure to music with "degrading sexual references" in the lyrics and the level of sexual activity in a group of 711 ninth graders from urban high schools. According to the BBC, the kids were divided into groups based on how many hours a week they listened to music that describes sex as a physical act (rather than an act of love). Those who listened to such music regularly, at least 17.6 hours a week, were twice as likely to have had sex as those who listened to it infrequently (under 2.7 hours a week).

This week marks the four-year anniversary of the day Blink-182 announced they were going on "indefinite hiatus." Needless to say, it's been a pretty eventful break for Blink's members. In fact, Travis Barker, Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus seem to have made just as many headlines while they were apart as they did were when they were together — something we discovered while compiling our Blink-182 hiatus timeline yesterday.

Of course, we all know how the story ends: with a triumphant reunion at the Grammys and a brand-new album in the works for the summer. That means that we can look back on the past four years fondly. After all, it's rare when a story of this magnitude gets wrapped up with such a neat little bow.

We've been digging through our archives for some key Blink material, and as luck would have it, we came across this gem from February 22, 2005, the day the Blink hiatus was announced live on "TRL."

It often seems like the only projects Lindsay Lohan tackles are partying and getting her picture taken. But, the actress-turned-leggings-designer is expanding her horizons.

We'll let her explain what's been filling her plate these days. (Spolier alert: It includes a spray tan line!) "I actually am starting a spray tan. I'm doing it through Sephora. And it's really exciting cause it's really good and I'm really happy about that," she told E! Online. "My friend and I just had an idea so we did it through my company."

Lohan isn't a one-trick pony, though — she's also concentrating on high-brow projects like, um, a diamond line. Yes, a diamond line. "I'm starting to do a diamond line. I designed this one [points to her jewelry] with my friend Karen from 14 Karats. This is a sliver diamond. Everyone thinks it's a stone and I'm like, 'No it's a diamond, it's not a stone.'
