No Doubt have been in the music business (some call it "the biz") for enough time now that they know what they're doing. You might even call them veterans. But they need your help on their summer tour.

When Gwen and the boys get up on stage to play their first hit, "Just a Girl", the video playing on the big screens will be you. And your friends. And your pets.

The band is asking you to do your best impression of Gwen from way back in '95 and upload footage of yourself for them to use on tour. Complete details and submission can be found at NoDoubt.com. The deadline is May 1, so get shootin' and uploadin', even if you're just a boy.

Pretty cool, huh? We thought so too. And it got us thinking that we'd heard this idea before. Lo and behold, MTV News met some crazy No Doubt fans back in 1997 who had the same idea. They dressed up like Gwen, went to a show and even got to meet the band.

Stephanie Pratt
Kelly Cutrone swears she doesn't really read résumés often, so you can imagine her (and our) surprise when she read Stephanie Pratt's when she interviewed for a job at People's Revolution. Stephanie listed her "final objective" as having a handbag line.

Although Kelly didn't quite get why Stephanie would seek an internship at a public-relations house if she wants to get into design, Stephanie did say that by working at People's Revolution she could learn how to brand her line. (She's a Pratt — isn't branding in their DNA?)

Kelly didn't seem to like that, even though Stephanie's handbag was a long-term goal set for, like, a decade from now. (Spoiler alert: Kelly hires Stephanie anyway.)

Selena GomezCould Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner be dating? Well, they are both in Vancouver, British Columbia, right now shooting films (Selena's working on "Ramona and Beezus" and Taylor is, of course, working on "Twilight" sequel "New Moon"), and the pair were spotted hanging out together at a coffee shop.

Don't believe us? Well, LaineyGossip.com has a bunch of pics showing the pair leaving the place. OK, so they're not ever actually in the same photos at the same time, but they both happen to be with the same bodyguard mere moments after one another and they both happen to get into the same car once they've attempted to dodge the photographers. Susan Boyle

The inevitable has happened: "Britain's Got Talent" sensation Susan Boyle got a makeover. She's ditched the drab dresses for a shiny black jacket, dyed her tangled gray locks a rich brown, donned a trendy plaid scarf.

Should we be concerned that the woman who rocketed to fame because of the unlikely juxtaposition of average-gal frumpiness and chill-inducing vocal chops has been forced to conform to conventional standards of beauty? Or should we instead applaud Ms. Boyle for her larvae-into-butterfly transformation now that she's on the world stage? No doubt half the Boyle-ites will be wringing their hands, while the other half sings (mostly off-key) her praises. Read More...

Those Oklahoma House members are so sensitive! I mean, just because Flaming Lips guitarist/ keyboard player Michael Ivins wore a red T-shirt with a Communist-esque hammer-and-sickle symbol on it when the band visited the state capitol last month, the House rejected a resolution to make the Lips' "Do You Realize" the state's official rock song.

State Rep. Corey Holland said he was "really offended" by the shirt, and fellow Republican Rep. Mike Reynolds, who's from the band's hometown of Oklahoma City, criticized their penchant for offensive language (that's actually true — singer Wayne Coyne is an unrepentant potty mouth), saying, "Their lips ought to be on fire." Whatever that means.

More than 21,000 people voted on the Oklahoma State Rock Song, with the Lips garnering 10,000 of those votes. The good news, according to The Oklahoman, is that Governor Brad Henry stepped up to the plate on Thursday evening and said he will sign an executive order on Tuesday naming "Do You Realize" the official state rock song, over the legislators' objection.

Praising their 20-plus years of producing Grammy-winning "creative, fun and provocative rock music," Henry called the Lips a "truly iconic rock-and-roll band" who are proud ambassadors of their home state and, because they were the people's choice, he intends to sign the order and make it so.

Bravo, Governor Henry! Don't let the bastards get you down! The Lips plan on attending Tuesday's ceremony, and we can only hope they wear their best party finery.

Kanye WestRick Ross has made Kanye West a believer. The Miami rap kingpin is still awaiting his first-week numbers to find out if Deeper Than Rap will be his third consecutive album to debut at #1 one. However, as the fans hit stores and critics critique the opus, Ross has one very vocal supporter: Kanye West, who raved about Deeper Than Rap on his blog last night.

"Rick's album is the sh--," Kanye boasted. "He made an album I can play in my apartment, which is the highest honor I can give any piece of music. TV on the Radio, Feist, Pink Floyd and the new Rick Ross album!"

Of course ,West is not completely objective about the project. Kanye is one of the stars of album highlight "Maybach Music 2," which also features T-Pain and Lil Wayne.

"Marrrrrrrr-tinnnnnn, Louie the King Junior," West raps on the song, calling out his newest nickname. "Starrrrrrrr-tinnnnnnn all that stuntin' is gon' ruin ya/ If B.I. was alive, he probably have a two-tone/ With the Grey Poupon, anything 'Ye poop on/ Will explode, 'cause I am the sh--, and this is my commode/ Uh-oh there they go/ Talking 'bout how ya boy clothes extra tight/ I just remembered that my limelight extra bright."

Kanye is still promoting his own #1 album, 808s and Heartbreak. He recently released the video for the third single, "Amazing," with Young Jeezy. The song is also used in a commercial for the NBA postseason.

Gil Kaufman

You might recall my blog post earlier this month about a trip I took down to Atlanta to be interviewed for a show called "From Idol to Inspiration," a one-hour documentary on the "Idol"/religion connection that aired tonight on the Gospel Music Channel before the Dove Awards.

I like to think that the show was inspired by a series of stories I did back in early March about how this year's "Idol" finalist pool is stacked with singers with connections to the church. Nobody confirmed that for me down in Atlanta, but I'm going to go ahead and assume that I got the ball rolling. Now, as a person who spends 12 to 14 hours a day writing stories in the solitude of a pop-culture bunker in an undisclosed location, mine is a voice you rarely, if ever, hear, and you definitely never see me in living color. And that's the way I like it.

Lil WayneNEW YORK — Outside the courthouse this morning there were no screaming fans, no camera crews (aside from our own) and not a single paparazzo in sight — which was surprising, considering that the biggest name in hip-hop, Lil Wayne, was in court, appearing before a judge facing charges of gun possession.

Lil Wayne arrived at 9:15 a.m. with no entourage, accompanied only by his usual bodyguard and his attorney, Stacey Richman. With our cameras rolling, Wayne, dressed casually in dark jeans, black-framed glasses, black sweater, black sneakers and a grey jacket, made his way from his blacked-out Escalade across the street and up the steps of the courthouse. The streets were bustling with people heading to work, and not one single person noticed that the famous rapper was amongst them. Even a group of kids late to school walked right past Wayne without noticing — and by the time they saw the cameras and turned around, it was too late. Lil Wayne had enetered the building.

Over the course of this week we have done a very unscientific poll of the "Hills" cast to see what they'd be getting Heidi and Spencer for their weekend wedding ceremony in California. In the process of doing this research, we found that many of Speidi's friends had yet to buy the pair a gift.

So, we thought we'd do the dirty work for them and head over to Spencer's Gifts (get it, we're funny like that) to make some suggestions. Here we go!

The Vampire vs. Werewolf Chess Set is currently on sale for $19.99. What newly married couple doesn't like to spend their wedding night playing chess? (That is what people do on their wedding nights, right?) Alternately, there is also a castle chess set.

Nothing says romance like a Fairy Fountain. The soothing sounds of running water will surely set the mood for, um, chess playing. You know what goes great with fairy fountains? Bob Marley Guitar Lamps. No, seriously.

Perhaps to commemorate the couple's first attempt at getting married, someone can buy the pair "Buy Me a Drink" Tiaras. Or, if things get rocky, the pair can use the Insulting Parrot to work through their marital woes — we'd imagine it's almost as good as couple's therapy.
