I have to say: The Jonas Brothers are three guys who look great in softball uniforms. Sure, they look great in street clothes too, but they also manage a softball uniform like it's nobody's business.
And, like always, catching up with the guys yesterday in Newark was an extremely pleasant experience. They are perhaps the most polite, grounded group of pop stars out there today. I've had the opportunity to interview them several times since joining MTV News as a writer and I have to say that for being the most famous trio of brothers since Hanson, they are super cool guys and always friendly, even when I'm throwing a little bit of my standard sass their way.
Usually when the MTV News crew and the brothers Jonas meet up, it's in a more typical sit-down interview kind of way, so we jumped at the chance to meet up with the guys at one of their softball games. In addition to chatting with the guys, we got the chance to watch them play some ball. And the guys have some skills, especially Nick. Plus, we were super excited to see that Bonus Jonas was hanging out in the dug out cheering his older brothers on.
The guys had some fun stuff to say about their love of baseball as well as Kevin's recent engagement. They also talked a lot about their tour and some of the candid moments that have happened during it, Nick's college plans and we even had a little fun talking about Joe's decision to stop straightening his hair, all of which will be rolling out over the coming days.
Next time around, we're going to challenge the guys to a game of softball ourselves — though our bet is they'll sweep the field with us.
