The new trailer for Madonna's forthcoming greatest hits album, Madonna Celebration: The Ultimate Greatest-Hits Collection, features a pop-art montage of her many different incarnations set to the music of her new single, "Celebration."
Of course, this is a celebration of Madonna's nearly three-decades-long career, and as the trailer puts it, the album will include "34 songs that changed the world." The collection is due out on September 29.
Late last month, the album's title track leaked to the Internet. The dance number was produced by legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold and is one of two new songs on the album. The collection will also include a collaboration with Lil Wayne called "Revolver." Although there hasn't been an official confirmation of the album's track listing, RollingStone.com reported that "Everybody," "Express Yourself," "Vogue" and "4 Minutes" will be on it. Gossip blogs have speculated that "Material Girl," "Frozen" and "Music" will also find their way into the collection.
A video for "Celebration" was recently shot in Milan and was directed by longtime Madonna collaborator Jonas Åkerlund, who helmed her "Ray of Light" clip, the documentary "I'm Going to Tell You a Secret" and a television special on her 2006 Confessions Tour.
Celebration, which follows previous greatest-hits releases The Immaculate Collection and GHV2, will be Madonna's last album under her contract with Warner Music Group before she fully enters the realm of the Live Nation 360 deal.
