With four huge albums and a string of hit singles already filed away, the Taking Back Sunday empire continues to expand. Their latest dalliance outside of music is with D*Coded, a clothing line they recently unveiled at Macy's in New York City. The line includes boys' shirts, jeans and hoodies inspired by skate culture and music, which makes the Long Island quintet a perfect fit as the face of the brand. Starting this Sunday in Toronto, they'll continue to promote their latest album New Again (featuring the single "Sink Into Me") when they hop on tour with Blink-182 and Weezer. Though their first date is in a foreign country, they'll stick to stops in the United States — which is probably for the best, considering what a difficult time they've had overseas. Take their most recent trip to Dublin, Ireland, where three of the members ran into a bit of trouble (and one took home a painful souvenir).
The message: Heavy-drinking Irishmen who think you're hitting on their girlfriends are one thing, but heavy-drinking MMA fighters are an entirely different ball of wax. Whether or not that's actually how Fazzi fractured his foot (he'll need to be in that boot for another month), it's an excellent story to tell and makes him look pretty hardcore. Who is going to mess with Taking Back Sunday now? Nobody, that's who!
Their visit to the MTV News offices was not just about violence, though. Stay tuned to Newsroom for more on Taking Back Sunday, including their dream New York gig and why they think they should be on "Ellen."
