Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
The big party in New York this weekend is the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, which will air live from Radio City Music Hall this Sunday. But there's also another event just up the road that is also attracting some top-shelf stars to Manhattan: Fashion Week. Like the VMAs, Fashion Week not only hosts a bunch of star-studded shows but also creates an excellent excuse for famous folk to party in the city that never sleeps. The biggest star at last night's Fashion's Night Out party at Intermix in Soho was Rihanna, who rolled up in a stunning black ensembles and killer sunglasses.
She wasn't the only one enjoying some after-hours entertainment, as both Pitbull and Jay Sean threw down at a pre-VMA party hosted by Oakley at the Hotel Rivington last night. They rubbed elbows with producer Jim Jonsin and singer Kristine Elezaj. (There are more parties to come tonight and tomorrow, and MTV News will be there to schmooze.)
