You know what they say about payback. Well, while Taylor Swift is probably building a new wing on her Nashville mansion to hold all the Entertainer of the Year awards she's been scooping up lately, her one-time tormentor Kanye West has racked up just one ignoble honor in the wake of his infamous VMA stage crash, and it's probably not going to be vying for mantle space anytime soon.
In a recent poll from Parade magazine online, readers voted West (MTV News' #7 Man of the Year) the It's an impressive feat, made even more notable given the competition: Chest hair-flaunting "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell (#2) and wiggy New York real estate mogul Donald Trump (#3). West won out over the two Mount Narcissus icons with 46 percent of the vote. While Trump could only pull 27 percent of the vote and Cowell got an anemic 13 percent, Diddy scored 8 percent of the vote and Madonna pulled up to the fifth spot with six percent.
In other polls likely to make Yeezy toss his Macbook Air across the room, Swift (MTV News' #2 Woman of the Year) won the race for Favorite Young Sensation with 61 percent of the vote over Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron and Taylor Lautner. Adam Lambert also made it onto one of the polls, one asking which celeb deserve to be on Santa's naughty list. The "Idol" runner-up and sometimes on-stage boy kisser got 11 percent of the vote, good enough for fourth place (beating Lindsay Lohan!), but not nearly enough to unseat the top three: Jon Gosselin, West and the shoo-in favorite, alleged serial monogamist golfer Tiger Woods.
