Ever wonder what the cast of "Jersey Shore" would be like sans house music, accents and limitless confidence? Well, in this Funny or Die clip, Snooki, Pauly D and the Situation clue us in.

The skit opens with Snooki and the Situation in a hotel room, recapping their night out. Snooki recalls a "juicehead grinding up on her," which turns out to have been the Situation himself, and just as the two get up and begin fist-bumping, a siren blares and Pauly D comes flying into the room with a laptop in hand.

As the Situation begins to recite his now-famous monologue about those abs of steel, he immediately loses steam, citing he "can't bear this any longer." Snooki picks up what appears to be a script for the show, and the Situation puts on a pair of glasses. Within seconds, the threesome lose their accents and the room goes silent. Pauly D picks up an insanely bizarre twist on a British accent, convincing the Situation to stay positive and keep the momentum.

Just when it seems like there's no hope left, room service arrives and the infamous club siren blares yet again. Everyone is dancing in anticipation of their meal, and the bellhop immediately recognizes the Situation, calling him an inspiration and flashing a pasty, hairy midsection.

The Situation appears defeated. Snooki provides a pep talk and Pauly D delivers the key inspirational line to the Situation: "Every time you lift your shirt, you're lifting America's spirits." This hilarious mockery just makes the cast even more charming, and somehow, we think Pauly D might be right.

There was a time when Boy George sat on top of the world. At the apex of Culture Club's popularity, George was an international superstar, recognized for his gender-bending take on fashion and his brutally catchy pop songs like "Karma Chameleon," "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" and "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me." But the man born George O'Dowd has fallen quite a bit in the past decade — so far, in fact, that he has been denied access to a U.K. reality TV show.

A British court blocked George's attempt to get into the cast of "Celebrity Big Brother," citing the fact that he is currently on probation for assault and false imprisonment of a male escort. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison but was released and put on probation after sixteen weeks. (It wasn't the first time George had a run-in with the law, as he had to do five days of community service for the New York City Department of Sanitation after he was arrested for cocaine possession and falsely reporting a burglary.)

Court officials worried that allowing George to appear on the show would undermine the probation system and would cause people to lose faith in the courts. The new season of "Celebrity Big Brother" is a particularly big deal in the U.K., as the show will enter its tenth and final season in 2010. No other cast members have been announced.

What do you think? Should George be allowed on the show having paid his debt to society, or does it undermine his punishment? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

I started working for MTV News back in June and got sent on my first travel assignment in August. The charge? Make the cross-country trip to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park for the annual Outside Lands Festival to talk to some bands and report on what was going on at the big show. It was a great weekend full of typically bizarre Bay Area weather (I got a nasty sunburn on Friday and had to buy a sweatshirt to keep myself warm on Sunday), great performances (The Dead Weather, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, the Mars Volta and Tom Jones totally killed it) and some interesting interviews (I talked to Silversun Pickups about how to stay cool during field shows and heard TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe tell a great story about ingesting chemicals and watching "The Beatles Anthology").

One of the more interesting run-ins I had over the weekend was with Jason Mraz, who at the time was enjoying the incredible success of "I'm Yours" (the breakout single from his 2008 album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.). Mraz was in great spirits, having just completed his mellow, feel-good afternoon set at the festival. We talked about the legacy of the Beatles (we were both anticipating the release of "The Beatles: Rock Band"), macrobiotic restaurants and the audience interactivity at his shows. While he was in the middle of explaining how he encourages his crowds to high-five one another, he flagged down another festival-goer (I later found out he was the frontman for an excellent band called the Morning Benders) and interviewed him about how he was feeling. It's one of my favorite moments of the year that nobody has seen (except for myself and producer Matt Elias), and I hope you enjoy it.

So what do you think? Should we be giving Mraz his own MTV show? We're ready to put together the pilot for "Vibin' with Jason" if you guys are up for it.

"I haven't started a makeup line. I might, but I haven't yet. My father was rumored to be mortified by what I did [at the 'American Music Awards'] and that we're not speaking. That's a rumor. ... I think Bill O'Reilly perpetuated that. Lovely man. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. [My dad and I] were laughing about it ... so that was a rumor."

-Adam Lambert talking to Jay Leno on "The Jay Leno Show" about a number of rumors about him that he wanted to squash. The "American Idol" runner-up dropped in on the comedian's nightly talk show to chat about his album For Your Entertainment, the jobs he had before he was famous (he was a barista who would come home stinking of coffee beans), what he thought "American Idol" would be like without Paula Abdul and what his younger brother is up to. Lambert also shared his year-end picks with MTV News. He endorsed releases by Lady Gaga, Pink, Kings of Leon and Ke$ha. As for his pick for "Man of the Year" (a title MTV News awarded to the late Michael Jackson), Lambert said, "I don't know who I would say. That's a tough question. Obama's a good one. Tiger Woods, not so much for me?"

2009 is coming to a close, which means that it's time to check in on what the favorite albums, artists, songs and moments were among the fine folks in the MTV Newsroom. Be sure to check out James Montgomery's definitive year-end list for 2009, and enjoy the "10 In 2009" series that will be running over the next two weeks.

People tend to either love or hate Kanye West, but the man has cemented himself a musical genius, a pop culture icon and — whether you like it or not — the loudest voice of our generation. So instead of doing the obligatory year-end-news-is-slow-we're-tired-and-going-on-vacation top 10 list, I have decided to list the top 10 moments in Kanye West for 2009 (And don't miss Kanye West's top moments in photos.)

10. Amber Rose
Rose first appeared on the radar of many hip-hop fans for being the stand-out model in Ludacris' "Want Them Girls Like" video with her bizarrely beautiful blond Caesar. But she rose in notoriety once she started dating 'Ye. And thanks to Mr. West, we get to see Rose in photo spreads from Elle to Complex as well as in the video for "Robocop."

(Check out Kanye West's top moments of 2009 in photos!)

9. Paris Fashion Week Photo
'Nuff said.

8. Air Yeezys and Louis Vuitton Collaboration
Last spring, West had sneakerheads and their girlfriends (she could buy the second pair) lining up outside of stores across the country for a chance to grab a pair of his Nike Air Yeezy's. And then he released three shoes with Louis Vuitton that most sneakerheads couldn't afford (damn recession).

There's only a few days left before Christmas, and if you're anything like us, you still have a lot more gifts to grab. Luckily, there were plenty of CDs released this year, so there's plenty of options for stuffing the stockings of the music lover in your life. In today's edition of the "Oh Snap! Poll," we hit the street of Times Square to ask people what album they want most for Christmas. Hopefully it will give us some insight into what to grab our loved ones.

Christen Estudillo was first in line outside of Footlocker waiting on a chance to buy a pair of Space Jam Air Jordan XI's. He said he was excited to get a copy of Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3. "It's pretty different, new kind of music. [He's] always coming out with something better to impress the fans."

Then we met mom Diane Lobell. She said she was in the city to drop her daughter off for an appearance on "Glenn Beck," but she couldn't wait to tell her daughter that she was on MTV News. She also couldn't wait to get her hands on a copy of Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster. "I love her. She's just so cool," Lobell said. "I saw her on some show a couple of weeks ago. She's just amazing."

Prince from Harlem wanted to get ahold of new albums from Gucci Mane and Alicia Keys, as well as a copy of Beyoncé's I Am ... Sasha Fierce for his wife. When we asked him why, he smiled and just replied "She likes Beyoncé."

What album do you covet most for Christmas? Do you want Eminem under your tree, or would you prefer the soundtracks from "Glee"? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

For a group of guys from the otherwise sleepy burg of Oklahoma City, the Flaming Lips sure know how to throw a party. The band's live shows are legendary, featuring frontman Wayne Coyne's jubilant dancing, fans dressed as Santa Claus, confetti, balloons, laser pointers and, of course, no shortage of the band's signature psychedelic garage pop. To welcome 2010, the band will host their annual "Freak Out" in their hometown of Oklahoma City on New Year's Eve. It's a show that will feature the world's largest balloon drop, the world's largest mirror ball and a set by Stardeath and the White Dwarfs (a band fronted by Coyne's nephew Dennis). And once the new year arrives, the group will play Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety.

Never settling for anything less, the band teamed up with Stardeath and the White Dwarfs to and recorded Dark Side, which they released today exclusively via iTunes. It retains elements from the songs on the psychedelic classic, but reinvents them with the aid of some samples, plenty of noise manipulation, sound effects and plenty of feedback and funk. "On the Run" (which features a guest appearance by Henry Rollins) has been transformed into a disco freak-out, and "Money" now sounds like the entrance music for a robot professional wrestler on Jupiter (which is to say it sounds awesome).

Dark Side of the Moon is available for download on iTunes now (for a mere $7.99!) and tickets to the New Year's Eve show are still available (at only $10 and $20). Also available: The Flaming Lips' other album from this year, Embryonic, which MTV News' James Montgomery declared was the #2 album of the year. Anybody looking to leave 2009 in the dust and welcome 2010 with open, spaced-out arms now has a handful of options, all thanks to Wayne and his band of merry men.

Pink is best known for her ass-kicking, hard-rocking attitude. But that seems to be changing, and she credits her on-again/off-again motocross hubby Carey Hart for her new "soft" makeover.

"When I met Carey, I was an abused puppy in the corner, ready to bite anyone who put their hand out," Pink admits in the January/February issue of Women's Health, which hits newsstands on December 22. Perhaps those issues are what led to their tumultuous relationship, which has been seemingly repaired since earlier this year.

Though Pink is dishing the dirt on her new outlook on life to Women’s Health, a simple glance at her Twitter account will confirm that it has been smooth sailing in Pink's love life since the reconciliation. This past weekend, she tweeted "It's been a year of beautiful, magical moments. Thank you to all of the people that shared it with me."

After spending the past few months overseas on her Funhouse tour, it seems like Pink will get to relax and spend the holidays with her nearest and dearest. On Monday (December 21), she tweeted "Homeward bound with my darlin' @hartluck (Carey Hart). Just in time for xmas carols and gluwein, LA style. Bring on the sunshine and surfing!"

Hart is not the only one Pink is softening up to. Though she publicly bashed Britney Spears on her track "Stupid Girls," Pink insists she doesn't hate the pop princess. "I've always said I like Britney. I swear to God, I've stuck up for Britney since the beginning."

Here in the MTV Newsroom, the Christmas soundtrack consists mostly of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You," the Pogues' "Fairytale of New York" and Dimmu Borgir's "Hybrid Stigmata — The Apostasy." (Just kidding — we're sort of tired of that Mariah Carey song.) But in the U.K., apparently nothing says Christmas cheer like Rage Against the Machine's classic refrain "F--- you/ I won't do what you tell me!" from their song "Killing in the Name," the breakout track from their landmark 1992 self-titled debut. It's back at the top of the charts in the U.K., besting "The X Factor" winner Joe McElderry.

The top-selling Christmas single is normally reserved for the winner of the show (victors have won the past five years), but a pair of guys started a Facebook campaign to elevate the Rage Against the Machine track to the top spot. The stunt drew the ire of "X Factor" creator Simon Cowell (who called it "cynical") and found support in Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney and the guys from Muse. (For a full recap of the events leading up to the band's victory, check out MTV New's Gil Kaufman's breakdown.)

Now that they've secured the top spot, Rage have pledged to play a free show in London to celebrate and want Cowell to introduce them as a sort of peace offering.

So remember: When you gather 'round the hearth to sing carols this week, know that you are now fully empowered to croon the immortal lines, "Some of those that work forces/ Are the same that burn crosses."

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

On Saturday (December 19), the first of the Jonas Brothers was officially taken off the market, as eldest brother Kevin married longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa in a ceremony on Long Island, New York. Brothers Nick and Joe served as best men, and the guest list (which was over 400 names long) included fellow Disney star Demi Lovato. The pair got hitched at the height of the blizzard that swept through the Northeast corridor last weekend, but their honeymoon is nothing but sunshine. The newlyweds were spotted catching some rays in Mexico, far away from the cold of they are used to at this time of year.

They weren't the only stars celebrating wedded bliss, as Carrie Underwood showed off her engagement ring at a hockey game in Ottawa (where fiancé Mike Fisher plays for the Senators). The country singer seemed slightly under-dressed for a hockey arena in Ottawa in December, something that couldn't be said of Katy Perry and Russell Brand, who were both bundled up during their walk around London yesterday. Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted!" archive, which features over 300 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Madonna, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Shakira and Jordin Sparks!
