There was an unexpected cosmic shift early Sunday evening (January 31) when two reality megastars suddenly came face-to-face on the Grammy red carpet.
We sent Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the star of MTV's "Jersey Shore," to nab a few celebrity interviews for MTV News as the various music industry headliners made their way into the Staples Center. But when Kathy Griffin, the Emmy-winning comedian and star of "My Life on the D-List," walked up, Snickers barely got a word in.
"Snooks, do you know who I am? Because you’re very young," Griffin asked. (A reasonable question, as Snooki wasn't always certain who she was talking to. Right Phoenix? And Judas Priest?)
"Yes, I do," said Snooki. Apparently, she watches Kathy all the time.
"I talk about you and your show in my act all over this country when I'm touring," said Griffin. It's a sentiment that seemed to genuinely touch the Snookster, and when Griffin followed up by saying, "People love you and want you to find love," Snooki lets it drop that she did, indeed, "find a little boo."
