Eazy EOn Friday, those who loved him as a person and had a affinity for his raw music celebrated the life and musical impact of one of the godfathers of gangster rap, Eric "Eazy-E" Wright. It has been 15 years since the N.W.A founder passed away, from complications of AIDS, and everyone from The Game and Plies to our own Sway Calloway and Eazy-E's oldest son, Lil Eazy-E, shared memories and spoke of Wright's impact.

It's only right that as this celebration continues, we hear from one of Eazy's artists. Bizzy Bone sent in a short message he dedicated to his mentor:

Without E, I wouldn't be. He gave me life in the industry. Though they disregard, I still remember the sarge. The general of the fam, li'l man, the boss, also no mirage. We can clearly see. Eazy-E, Eric Wright, R.I.P. I thank you, E, for all you have done for me. Love you, big bruh.

Bizzy Bone

Do you have memories of Eazy-E to share? Which rappers do you feel owe a debt to him? Talk about it here!

Twenty-four years ago today, Stefani Germanotta was brought forth into this world. Though most didn't know it at the time, her birth was an event of colossal import, especially if you're a fan of pop music and/or creative costuming. Germanotta would grow up to be none other than Lady Gaga, the woman who has single-handedly melded the worlds of pop and performance art into one, given a voice to the unheralded and unheard, and, perhaps most importantly, worn some seriously batty outfits.

From her humble beginnings in New York City to her current status as (arguably) the biggest pop star on the planet, Gaga's life has been anything but uneventful, and her birthday is cause to celebrate that meteoric rise to prominence. But just what do you get for the girl who already has pretty much everything? A "Communist-red tea cup?" Too late, she got one this week. "Russian Rose gold vampire grillz?" Someone beat you to it.

Still, we feel like Gaga deserves a present of some kind. So for all you last-minute shoppers out there, we've thrown together a list of appropriately out-there birthday presents, the kind of things that a gal like Gaga deserves. Of course, you could always just get her a gift certificate, but who wants one of those?

A Tour Of The Set Of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" With Mariska Hargitay
Gaga has a lot of down time on the road, which means that, at some point, she's almost certainly caught an episode of "SVU," currently airing for all eternity on the USA Network. By logical extension, that also means she has become hooked on the show. Plus, she's from New York, where the show is based. Double plus, she'll get to meet Mariska Hargitay, for whom she harbors a not-too-secret crush (oh wait, that's just me).

A Nice Pair Of J. Crew Capri Pants
For whenever she finally decides to show up at Polaroid's corporate headquarters. Flirty, yet functional. At home on the boardwalk and in the boardroom.

Friday's (March 26) interview slate may have been littered by torrential downpours and flash floods on Collins Avenue, but sure didn’t damped the spirit or pace of the MTV News team as we dove head first into day three of the 2010 Winter Music Conference.

We started off chatting with the Italian duo Crookers, made famous by their remixes of both Kid Cudi ("Day and Night") and Timbaland ("The Way I Are"). Then we moved on to Deadmau5, the winner of the Best American Producer award at Thursday's International Dance Music Awards (despite the fact that he is actually Canadian). Tommy Lee even joined Mau5 and provided us a history of how they met.

Later, trance world leaders and creators of the legendary Anjunabeats collection Above & Beyond joined us and chatted about their explosion over the last 10 years and their historic performance to a crowd of one million people at Barra de Tijuaca beach in Brazil back in 2007. After a quick lunch, we jumped right into a very busy afternoon kicked off by massive DJ trio Swedish House Mafia.

SHM is compose of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, and they are arguably the most sought-after ticket at this year's conference. We're extremely excited to hear them unveil their newest records as they owned WMC last year with "Leave the World Behind" featuring Deborah Cox. Directly following them, we finally had chance to sit down with another Swede, rising star Agnes Carlsson, just after she took the stage at the Raleigh Hotel Pool to perform an acoustic rendition of her smash single "Release Me."

It was then time to hop in a cab and headed over to Bicentennial Park (along with nearly 100,000 others) to catch some huge sets at the Ultra Music Festival. We scored some time with Will.I.Am and LMFAO backstage before they stormed the main stage with David Guetta, got down with Kaskade as he spun a killer set in the Ibiza Tent, and then wrapped up the night with none other than Tiesto, who captivated the ocean of people with his sight and sound spectacular. Stay tuned to MTVNews.com and MTV Newsroom for all of the latest from WMC and day two of the Ultra Music Festival, which will feature spots from Armin Van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia and DeadMau5.

» Voting for the second round of MTV News' Musical March Madness continues through Sunday evening (March 28). Keep pushing your favorite artists into the Sweet 16!

Young Money's lone New York City artist Jae Millz is ready to flood the game with his new mixtape, appropriately titled The Flood. Mixtape Daily got the scoop on Millz' latest street opus coming in this Monday's edition of Mixtape Daily, which adds to our previous coverage of fellow Young Money labelmates Tyga, Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj and the man himself Lil Wayne.

On the set of Millz' Flood Mixtape Daily shoot (which took place at four o'clock in the morning), the lyricist talked a bit about his mentor Lil Wayne, who was on hand to review a few select tracks. Jae Millz let it be known that though his Young Money boss was just hours away from turning himself in to begin serving his year sentence on weapons charges in New York City, he was going to stay focused on his work.

For more on Jae Millz' new mixtape, tune in to Mixtape Daily at MTV News on Monday, March 29.

"Bieber fever ... I'm not necessarily a fan. I don't listen to that kind of music. I like Kurt Cobain. [He] is like my dream boyfriend."

-Singer and "The Last Song" star Miley Cyrus, commenting on whether or not she was a fan of Justin Bieber. The pair both appeared on "The View" earlier in the week, as Bieber was supporting his new album My World 2.0 and she was on to talk about her new movie. Though she is currently dating "The Last Song" co-star Liam Hemsworth, she apparently is looking for somebody like the late Nirvana frontman. (Take note, Liam.)

That's not to say that Cyrus doesn't appreciate the power of Bieber Fever. "My little sister was obsessed with him, and he actually gave her a shout-out on Twitter," she said. "And I thought that was really sweet. So I was like, 'Thank you so much. That meant a lot too.' ... He called her a cutie, and I haven't stopped hearing about it."

Cyrus said last week that she has had just about enough of the music industry, though she still has an album coming out in the summer and just appeared as a musical mentor on "American Idol," an experience she was thrilled about. "It's cool. I was the youngest mentor, so I was excited that people really cared what I had to say and were inspired by me," she said. "And it was great."

It's Musical March Madness! The sprawling bracket — both a parody and a tribute to the NCAA basketball tournament, masterminded by MTV News' James Montgomery — takes the 65 biggest names in rock, splits them up into four regions, assigns them seeds and puts them up against one another in a single-elimination series of match-ups in a winner-take-all contest. We're leaving it to you to decide an actual champ in this field of 65. Over the next few weeks, we will present a series of polls that will allow you to vote for the match-ups presented in MTV News' Band Bracketology. You vote for the winners, we'll keep advancing the seeds and, in the end, we'll have some sort of champion. What will the winner receive? Little more than our esteem (as well as that of the fans) and some Internet bragging rights.

The second round voting is intense, with members of the Young Veins, 30 Seconds to Mars and the Hold Steady all getting involved and rounding up the troops. Voting closes on Sunday night (March 28) so we can present the Sweet 16 on Monday (March 29). Here are the final two parings of round two, featuring some contrasting styles in the South region.

(12) Nick Jonas vs. (13) Alice in Chains
Lil Wayne's jail term proved to be too much for him, as Alice in Chains shuffled past Weezy in the first round. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas (and his Administration) snuck past John Mayer in the opening match-up. Can the surging Seattle veterans outlast the young upstart, or will Jonas continue his tear?

(9) Adam Lambert vs. (16) Creed
The "American Idol" runner-up beat out former rival Kris Allen in the first round of voting, and Creed continue on their unlikely surge with a crushing defeat of Kings of Leon. Both have legions of fans looking to help get their favorites advance, but who will push their way into the Sweet 16?

WMC has the ability to breathe new life into a tune that isn't necessary hot off the presses. For Dennis Ferrer, a killer track the he produced back in November is all the rage here in Miami. We caught up with Ferrer this afternoon to discuss the track's success and his whirlwind WMC tour.

"Hey Hey" is a dance floor filling sing along crowd pleaser that is being dropped by DJs all over South Beach. What's the magic formula you ask?

"'Hey Hey' was released in November actually, and I really didn't expect it to do what it did, to tell you the truth," Ferrer told MTV News. "It's like a lottery ticket, but music is always a lottery ticket!"

The DJ Mag party at the Shelborne Pool kicked off Ferrer's weekend and featured his partners in crime the Martinez Brothers. Together, they have been tearing up the New York club scene for the past four years, and more recently have been gaining momentum and attention within the global electronic music community. Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino hasn't had a television outlet for himself since the finale of MTV's hit reality show "Jersey Shore," but he still manages to get around. And in case you were worried, he remains committed to his signature abdominal muscles. He was spotted showing them off at Martorano's at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, on Thursday, March 25. The grand opening of the new Italian eatery must have been torture for the reality star, as he was surrounded by delicious food (including cannolis and ravioli) that would no doubt counter-act the effects of his exercise routine.

He wasn't the only star showing off his wares on Thursday, as 50 Cent headlined a show at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England, while Andrew W.K. stopped by the Best Buy in New York's Union Square to plug his album Close Calls With Brick Walls. Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted!" archive, which features nearly 400 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Diddy, Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, Tokio Hotel, Adam Lambert and the Black Eyed Peas!

Over Halloween weekend in 2009, Phish brought back a rich tradition. They took over a giant tract of land in Indio, California (the same site that hosts the annual Coachella festival) and spent three days playing super-sized sets to thousands of devoted fans (including a full-length "musical costume" — a cover of the Rolling Stones' Exile on Main St.). They called it "Festival 8," and they took along a camera crew to capture it all. The resulting film is called "Phish 3D." It hits theaters on April 20 and the trailer just premiered.

The trailer looks like it will be an incredible experience for any fan looking to get up close with the band during extended versions of "Suzy Greenberg." But it doesn't give away any clues as to what form the 3D effects will take. Will it just be in-your-face guitar solos, or will they go out of their way to take advantage of the technology? No matter what, here are the songs that will sound (and look) best in 3D.

"You Enjoy Myself"
At the end of a 22 minute version of this favorite, the group broke down into some wacky scatting and let lighting director Chris Kuroda do his thing. A third dimension will make it extra psychedelic.

"I Didn't Know"
Any time Jon Fishman breaks out his vacuum cleaner, it's a good time.

Anything from Exile on Main St.
During the band's full-length cover of the Rolling Stones' classic album, they got an assist from Sharon Jones (she of Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings fame) on backing vocals, and her sweet soul on tracks like "Tumbling Dice" and "Shine a Light" will be welcome.

Anything from the all-acoustic set
Mostly because we want to see these delicious Festival 8 donuts in 3D.

What are you most looking forward to in the 3D Phish movie? Let us know in the comments!
