The real Creed Bratton has had to say a lot of crazy, creepy things over the years as the fictional Creed Bratton on "The Office." Every Thursday amidst the awkward madness dreamed up by Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute and Jim Halpert, Creed lurks in the background, doing whatever it is he does (his role at Dunder-Mifflin has never been made totally clear). He's an oasis of weirdness in a chaotic desert, and he always floors fans of the show with his bizarre lines.
When Creed (the real person, not the character), stopped by the MTV Newsroom last week to do his best Pauly D impression and talk about Bounce Back (his new album with his band the 3DVB's), we wanted him to talk a bit about having to be the guy who is forced to say those creepy, zany lines.
"He's scary. When I'm out character and I watch the reruns. I go woo," he confessed. "He's out of hand!" So, does Creed have any favorite Creed lines? "The peach cobbler line, I laughed a lot," he recalled about an episode back in the fourth season. "That was fun, but there have been so many I actually cant remember now."
Well, as it turns out Creed does remember one or two. And, he even reenacted his favorite, and he wonders about it now, "How did they not give me a lot of flack for that one?" Which line was it? "I made love to many, many women in the '60s. Often outdoors, in the rain and the mud. It's possible a man slipped in somehow. There'd be no way of knowing."
