LeBron James and Jay-Z have the hip-hop and hoops combination pretty much on lock with the Diamond sign Bron Bron throws up on during games and the NBA superstar appearing alongside the rapper in photo shoots.
But there looks like there's a new dynamic duo brewing, as NBA Draft Lottery prospect John Wall and Drake have formed a bond. The two yakked it up after the Toronto rapper's tour stopped in Kentucky recently, where Wall happens to be enrolled in college as a freshman.
Late last year, Drake appeared on the University of Kentucky campus to lend men's basketball coach John Calipari a hand. Coach Cal and Drake share roots in Memphis, where the former coached briefly and the latter spent time as a youngster.
Calipari recruited the highly touted Wall to play for him during his first year with the Wildcats and he responded by earning All-American honors. Now Wall (who announced he was leaving school early to turn pro) and Drizzy are poised to have a breakthrough this summer: Drake is set to drop his debut album Thank Me Later, and Wall is expected to be among the top picks in the upcoming draft.
Bron and Hov better watch their backs.
