We're getting dangerously close to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. In only four short days, the lights will shine on the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and the VMAs will be underway. The big show goes live at 9 p.m. Eastern, but you can get your first taste of the action beginning with the pre-show, which kicks off at 8 p.m. and will not only feature a performance by Nicki Minaj (her first solo television appearance) but also interviews with some of the biggest stars at the show. And nobody will be able to cross the threshold into the biggest party of the year without traipsing across the VMA white carpet.
That's right, a white carpet. When Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Eminem, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Drake, Paramore, Linkin Park and others make their way into the theater, they will be stepping on the signature white carpet, and anybody who wants to walk in the literal footsteps of their favorite stars is in luck, because we're going to chop up the carpet and give away 10 pieces of it!
