Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Katy Perry will be presenting an award at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday (September 12) and her "California Gurls" will be competing for a few Moonmen. But even though the big show will be airing live from Los Angeles, Perry is taking the scenic route on her way to the show. She stopped by the set of Italy's version of "X Factor" in Milan on Tuesday (September 7) to joke around with host Francesco Facchinetti, perform her latest single "Teenage Dream" and promote the cotton candy-scented album of the same name. Perry was clad in a shiny, eye-popping, multi-colored dress that had to have turned plenty of Italian heads. She continues to take over various corners of the world and will make her latest conquest when she lands in L.A. for the VMAs.
She wasn't the only star putting her talents to good use, as Hanson took the stage at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City for another entry in the Sounds Like Paper Summer Music Festival and the Jonas Brothers played yet another one of their charity softball games in Jupiter, Florida.
