Lady Gaga has always had a keen sense of style and knows a lot about grabbing attention at awards shows, so it wasn't particularly shocking on Sunday night (September 12) when she walked on stage at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in a dress made entirely of meat. Just as a similar meat-based outfit did a few months back, the ensemble drew the ire of PETA. But they weren't the only people upset by her fashion choice — it turns out the Gaga's outfit ruined the plans of several VMA attendees. These are just the few we know of.
» Ke$ha wanted to arrive camouflaged on the back of a glitter-covered, lightning bolt-branded lion. But there were concerns about whether or not the jungle cat would think Gaga was a meal, so it the lion was laid off. We think she did a pretty good job throwing together a backup outfit.
» Eminem originally planned to sit next to someone not wearing a dress made of meat. He stopped by Gaga's dressing room after his performance to get a sneak peek at her upcoming outfits and immediately decided that his plane was going to go way slower than the rest of the artists who performed with him in NYC last night. And so he left.
» However, there was an upside, as Rihanna wasn't going to show up to the show until the producers guaranteed her there would be steak in the building.
» will.i.am thought his crazy get-up would land him at the top of the VMA fashion headlines. Thanks, Gaga.
» The changes even extended to MTV News' Sway, as his suit made of mashed potatoes had to be scrapped at the last minute over worries it would clash with the meat dress.
» Also, Cher insists she ordered fish. Get it right next time, Gaga!
