Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
It has been a long and winding road for Bret Michaels, who at one point was the frontman for one of the country's biggest rock bands, then spent about a decade in musical purgatory and has resurrected himself as a television star and a music veteran whose songs are gaining a new life. But lately he has grabbed headlines because of something a little more controversial, as there have been whispers across the Internet that his relationship with Trish Cyrus (mother of Miley) is the reason why she is getting a divorce from husband Billy Ray. But Michaels has been setting the record straight during a visit to New York, saying that his relationship with Trish has never gone beyond professional (Michaels collaborated with Miley on a new version of the classic Poison song "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" for her latest album Can't Be Tamed). "The answer is no," the singer said when he appeared on "Fox & Friends." "I've been friends with her family forever. It started out with me and Miley simply working on a song together. Her mom, Tish, likes 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn,' the first concert Miley ever saw was Poison, and so they wanted to remake it for the new record. ... When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song ... and that was it."
Michaels wasn't the only star feeling the glow of the flash bulbs, as Taylor Swift added another set of awards to her trophy case (this time at the BMI Country Music Awards in Nashville) and Rihanna wore her skin-baring best during a taping of the Italian version of "X Factor" in Milan.
