Pink Scores Her Second Billboard Hot 100 Chart-Topper

Last year, Britney Spears released a greatest hits album (appropriately titled The Singles Collection) that included a new track called “3″ that shot directly to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. This year, that idiom belongs to Pink, who just dropped her first ever compilation Greatest Hits … So Far!!!. The album contains a pair of new tracks: the acerbic “F—in’ Perfect” and the anthemic “Raise Your Glass.”

The latter just found its way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after eight weeks on the chart. It’s her second trip to the top of the mountain as a solo artist (she last hit the number one spot in 2008 with “So What”), though she also had a share of that with “Lady Marmalade” (which also featured Lil’ Kim, Christina Aguilera and Mya) in 2001. “Raise Your Glass” displaces Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World),” which drops to number three behind Katy Perry’s surging “Firework.” Rihanna actually has two songs in the top 10 this week (“What’s My Name?” is at number five), as does Bruno Mars (“Just the Way You Are” comes in at number four this week, while “Grenade” sits at number 10).

There were no real big debuts on the Hot 100 this week. The biggest first-timer doesn’t show up until number 32, and even then it’s the cast of “Glee” with their take on Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” (way ahead of Mars’ own version of the song, which is number 91 this week). Kanye West’s “Dark Fantasy” found its way onto the chart at number 60 on the back of digital sales related to the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (“All of the Lights” also charted at number 92). The most notable gainer this week was Dr. Dre’s “Kush,” which continues to storm the Internet and has managed to make its way up to number 34 (that’s a 15 spot jump in one week).
