The cast of ”Skins,” along with hundreds of the shows' fans who RSVP'd earlier this week, partied it up in New York City Friday night.
The event, held in a warehouse on Washington and Houston streets, lasted until the wee hours of the morning. It included live entertainment featuring Drop the Lime, Sleigh Bells, Klever and Kill the Noise.
The cast’s James Newman (Tony), Rachel Thevenard (Michelle), Daniel Flaherty (Stanley), Ron Mustafaa (Abbud), Sofia Black-D'Elia (Tea), Camille Cresencia-Mills (Daisy), Jesse Carere (Chris), Britne Oldford (Cadie) and Eleanor Zichy (Eura) were all on hand. They, of course, are all from the American version of "Skins," which kicks off this Monday night. Many viewers stateside love the U.K. version of the sexy teen soap, so expectations remain high for the show's debut here in the U.S.
The show takes viewers on a wild ride through the lives of a group of high school friends going through the trials and tribulations of adolescence. There will be plenty to watch for as the characters deal with intense emotions and consequences.
"I think the pilot is really an introduction to the characters, the whole rich people thing, the losing your virginity thing," Sofia Black D'Elia, who plays Tea, told MTV News in a recent interview. "All those story lines are kind of just this way of getting to know all of us."
Don't miss the premiere of "Skins" on Monday, January 17 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
