Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Miley Cyrus is a pretty remarkable young star, as she has had her share of ups (the success of "Hannah Montana," a music career and excellent reviews and box office receipts for her films) and downs (her parents divorce, a handful of images that probably shouldn't have ended up on the Internet), but she has managed to persevere. She is going to have a particularly busy 2011, as she has already completed the upcoming "LOL: Laughing Out Loud" and is also working on "So Undercover" (for which she's receiving some hand-to-hand combat training — just another skill for her already extensive resumé). This weekend (Saturday, March 5), she'll also serve as the host of "Saturday Night Live," and on Monday (February 28th), she took some time out from her busy New York trip to do some shopping. Cyrus will become one of the youngest hosts in the history of "SNL" (at 18 years old, she trails Drew Barrymore, Macaulay Culkin, Fred Savage, Jodie Foster, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Lindsay Lohan, Taylor Lautner and the Olsen Twins on the list of the youngest hosts ever), but her enthusiasm and professionalism (and hopefully her willingness to be on Vanessa Bayer's "The Miley Cyrus Show" sketch) will carry her through the tough gig.
Cyrus wasn't the only star ruling the streets, as Janelle Monae wowed fans in Manchester, England and stars like Tina Fey and Ben Stiller came out to honor Alec Baldwin at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York.
