Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ Gets Support From Celebs On Twitter

Rebecca Black achieved Internet meme perfection this week. With gifs, remixes, parodies, four days on Twitter trends and almost 17 million YouTube views, it’s the kind of success that makes online marketers salivate.

As for musical talent though, well, that’s still in question. Yes, despite basically being a 13-year-old version of Ke$ha, detractors have lashed out in such force that Black likened it to cyberbullying in her first post-”Friday” talk with media on “Good Morning America.”

But on just the first day after Thursday and before Saturday since “Friday” hit the Web, several artists have voiced their support for Team Black.

Take for example, Odd Future’s Tyler the Creator: “@_RebeccaBlack You Are The Queen Of Hip Hop.”

Lil B the Based God: “I LOVE REBBECCA BLACK! THOSE ARE EXACLTY THE KINDA PEOPLE I WANNA HANG AROUND WITH ! HAPPY PEOPLE! – Lil B”

And Jay Sean (OK, fine, this is more of an admission of addiction than support, but still): “Good morning!! It’s friday!! Friday!!! Gotta go downstairs, gotta have my cereal!!! Fun!! Ok, that was my last dig I swear..lol off to vegas”

Will Black’s time on Twitter trends be limited to a week? Will the weekend ever end? Here’s to hoping that time brings yet another hit. Oh Rebecca, WE SO EXCITED.
