It's MTV's second annual Musical March Madness! MTV News took the 64 biggest names in rock, split them up into four regions, assigned them seeds and puts them up against one another in a single-elimination series of match-ups in a winner-take-all contest. We're leaving it to you to decide an actual champ in this field of 64, so over the next few weeks, fan voting will determine who will emerge as this year's champion. It's all about the fans, and the artist with the most passionate fan base will score the awesome Musical March Madness trophy!

The second round is almost completely open, though there is plenty of action still to come today (and over the weekend). Some of the Sweet 16 teams are coming into focus, while others remain up in the air. This particular pairing is especially intriguing, as it pits a perennial favorite against a surprise underdog.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Sunday, March 27 at midnight. As always, you can follow all the voting here.

(3) My Chemical Romance vs. (11) Rage Against the Machine
Despite not having released new music in years, Rage Against the Machine took down current modern rock chart kings Cage the Elephant in a first round drubbing. They'll square off against My Chemical Romance, who stomped all over Panda Bear in the opening round in hopes of securing the championship trophy this year (they fell in the finals of 2010's tournament). Will they continue their surge, or will Rage continue their unlikely run? Vote to find out!

Kirill Bichutsky is the most prominent nightlife photographer in America. Virtually every night of the week, Kirill's job sends him to the most exclusive nightclubs photographing unapologetic celebrities and beautiful party revelers. So when it came time to head down to Florida for Miami Music Week and Ultra Music Festival, MTV News was happy to have him as part of the team. His complete works can be found at kirillwashere.com.

After catching five hours of shuteye, I headed over to the Fool's Gold Rap Party at the Standard docks. It was a breath of fresh air to get away from the claustrophobic crowds I had experienced so far, as there was a big open space with tons of hispters, DJs and industry types lounging around while listening to Nick Catchdubs, Busy P, Mehdi, A-Trak and Craze. The highlight of the party was making use of the empty outdoor bathtubs with the help of a few hot chicks.

Then it was back to the Shelborne for Luciano. When I say it was packed, it's an understatement. I could barely make my away through the crowd, so I made my way to the DJ booth, where Naomi Campbell was partying right along side Luciano. Of all the DJs I have shot, Luciano is definitely one of the biggest camera hams. Since I couldn't move around the party and my photos of Luciano were good enough for me, it was time to move on.

At some point during the day, I got word that Roger Sanchez was DJing a private party at Setai, so I was determined to sneak in somehow. Luckily, most places let you waltz right in with a camera (because everyone needs the press) and I was able to make my way to the DJ booth. Roger was killing it for a light crowd of sophisticated socialite types (all of whom seemed imported directly from NYC).

The final stop of the day was Arkadia, the basement club before LIV. I hate clubs with low ceilings, but the crazy light system and the phenomenal music cranked out by Eddie Thoneick kept me pretty distracted. Apparently, this was the party to be at, as friends were texting me to wait for them at Arkadia as they escaped the stuffiness of LIV.

I finished off the night with a sandwich at La Sandwicherie before getting my beauty sleep.

In lieu of hiring an army of interns to keep a running tally of every f-bomb and Jagerbomb on this season of "Jersey Shore," every time Sammi and Ronnie smushed and broke up and then smushed again, every tub of gel Pauly rubbed into his 'do, every moment Snooki shared intimate details of her kooka — instead of compiling these epic reality show stats (and because, hey, even we're not that mean to our interns), MTV News has been conducting a season-long investigation we call "Jersey Shore by the Numbers."

Low budget in its presentation, utterly arbitrary in the words and phrases we choose to highlight, the graphs have nonetheless managed to give us insight into the cast's rather unique way of thinking. And even if they haven't, it's been a pretty fun ride.

Except when it hasn't. On Thursday's (March 24) season finale, Ron and Sam were once again at each other's throats, having arguments that went something like: "I love you!" "I hate you!" "I'm done!" "But I love you even though you're a total bitch who I hope dies a fiery death. Call me!" Vinny and Deena joined in the verbal sparring as well, as a result of D's attempts to prevent Vin from hooking up (who is she, Angelina?).

But about that fun! Snooki certainly had some, in her own strange way, after wrangling a dude into coming home for a boom-boom. "Whiskey d--k is definitely the best sex," she explained. "It's when a guy can have sex for five hours because he's so drunk." Romance!

Perhaps in the end, PowerPoint graphs or not, army of dedicated interns or not, there remains something elusive and unknowable about "Jersey Shore." And on that note, we'll leave you with a few words that may or may not correspond to the English language but which neatly sum up everything that can be said about the show. Takes it away, Snooks: "Get it all out, freaking do everything that you can, have sex with an old man, steal a plant and then get arrested and then do whatever."

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Reality TV star, singer and actress Kelly Osbourne has managed to evolve into a true fashion icon. She is one of the panelists on "Fashion Police" and regularly does analysis for E!, but she also has had her own line and has been the face of others. Her latest project is Madonna's Material Girl line, which replaced Taylor Momsen with Osbourne earlier this year. The metal scion was all smiles at the launch of the line at Macy's Beverly Center in Los Angeles.

Osbourne wasn't the only star getting out among the people, as Foo Fighters played an intimate show for 300 contest winners on Goat Island in Sydney, Australia, Bruno Mars dropped in on the Echo Awards in Berlin, Germany and a bevy of Hollywood heavies (including Claire Danes, Olivia Munn, Alec Baldwin and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen) showed up to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City for the premiere of "Le Comte Ory." Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted" archive, which features over 500 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Rihanna, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and Kanye West!

The East region marches on with a pair of excellent indie rock favorites taking one another on for Sweet 16 berth. It promises to be a barnburner that should go down to the last day.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Sunday, March 27 at midnight. As always, you can follow all the voting here.

(4) The Strokes vs. (5) Phoenix
In the first round, the Strokes took out fellow New York indie darlings MGMT in a reasonably close race, while Phoenix delivered a surprisingly thorough beatdown of Phish (the Phish fans did not come together the way some prognosticators expected). Will the French genre-hoppers be able to upend the New York comeback kings (who may be getting a boost from their well-received new album Angles)? Only your votes know for sure.

"Jersey Shore" star Vinny follows a few simple steps when getting ready for a new season of his hit reality show. "Trying to get in shape, trying to spend some time with my family, chill out, the quiet before the storm," he told us recently.

Now that the cast is headed to Italy for the first time, Vin isn't planning on changing that tried-and-true formula. "I'm excited to be thrown right into the water with whatever language skills I have," he laughed.

Vin is actually conversant in Italian, but we can't say the same for the rest of his roomies. That's why we recently gave the stars of "Jersey Shore" a little foreign language lesson. Because how else are they going to survive along the canals of Venice and the cobblestone streets of Florence?

Yep, in the name of public service, we informed everyone that the translation for grenade whistle is "fishio di granata."

"We need that!" declared Pauly.

He's definitely going to need to know how to say gym, tan, laundry. We just hope he remembers it's "palestra, lavenderia, tintarella."

And if the kids plan on having a crazy — and safe! — night out, they'd best memorize the translation for "cabs are here": "i taxi sono qui."

When the cabs do arrive to take everyone out to the clubs, Snooki and her gal pals will want to know how to say gorilla juice-head. Once again, we were there to supply them with the answer: "succo capo gorilla."

The cast seemed to take to the tutorial very well — now let's see what happens when the touch down overseas. "This is exciting, I like Italian," Sammi said.

"Me too," added Deeana. "It's, like, yummy."

Axwell's takeover of Fountainebleu's LIV Nightclub on Thursday evening (March 24) was without question one of Miami Music Week's most massive shows. Wednesday night (March 23), that same venue played host to would be superheros and villains as Laidback Luke presented the Miami permutation of his renowned "Super You & Me" party. But just 24 hours later, LIV had been transformed into a sea of buttoned-down shirts and dresses that could give a man a serious case of whiplash.

With the likes of Tiësto, David Guetta and Sebastian Ingrosso present to party (as well as Adrian Lux, David Tort, Tinie Tempah and Cedric Gervias on the lineup), the energy in the club was simply electric. With what can only be described giant psychedelic sea urchins hanging from the rafters complimented by the magnificent in house lighting design and state-of-the-art sound system, Axwell's night was certainly one to remember.

His two-plus hour set was garnished with vintage material like "Feel the Vibe" (which he mixed with Daft Punk's "Around the World") as well as more recent crowd-pleasers "Sweet Disposition," "Teenage Crime" and "Nothing But Love."

But there was one track in particular that we had our ears on high alert for, his latest monster, “Heart Is King”. MTV News sat down with Axwell earlier in the day, he spoke very highly of his latest progressive instrumental bomb, which contains a classical-inspired (as in Mozart) melody. When the string-laden, anthem dropped, the enthused crowd went simply mental.

He had other tricks, too. As one of the true masters of mash-up type bootlegs, Axwell kept the posh crowd guessing as he dropped Carl Louis and Martin Daniel's "The Message" with the a cappella of Dirty South's "Open Your Heart," and a superb pairing of Laidback Luke's "My G*O*D (Guns On Demo)" with Nachang Nancy's vocals on Prok & Fitch's "Walk With Me."

Were you at Axwell's big show last night? Let us know what you thought in the comments below and be sure to follow our MTV News crew on Twitter (@AdamMTVNews and @ASBhansali) for all of the latest MMW action!

Welcome back to the East region, where upsets abound and contenders are born. The second round has been intense, and it promises to stay that way as we move into the weekend. The biggest Cinderella in the whole tournament is up, with the Sweet 16 hanging in the balance.

Voting for all second round match-ups will close on Sunday, March 27 at midnight. As always, you can follow all the voting here.

(8) Coldplay vs. (16) Sum 41
The biggest upset of the first round came when Sum 41 (who are about to drop a new album called Screaming Bloody Murder) upended fellow Canadian countrymen Arcade Fire (who rode their big Grammy victory for Album of the Year to a number one seed). For their trouble, they'll have to go up against worldwide superstars Coldplay, who dropped Cake in round one without much fuss. Who will stand tall once the voting ends? Only you know the answer!
