Adele is still shining in the spotlight with her wildly popular album 21, but the singer is already thinking about her upcoming third album, which she claims will be inspired by the bluegrass sounds found here in the United States.
The singer talked about her newfound love of the South in an interview with The Sun, and it seems like she might even record the album there.
“I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly, and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time. The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I’m going to be pursuing heavily from now on,” Adele said. “I want to spend time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.”
She clearly has a soft spot for the new music she’s discovering, and is still finding new great artists on a regular basis. “I feel like a four-year-old in a candy shop who’s discovering sweets again. Every day is amazing when it comes to discovering new artists.”
Adele is not planning on taking a break or hiatus anytime soon either, as she claims she’ll hit the studio following her rescheduled run of dates here in the U.S. this fall.
I think it’s safe to say Adele would be welcome stateside anytime. Her album is the top-selling of the year so far and the songbird has an impressive seven nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
