Missoni for Target launched today to much fanfare and website crashing. It’s the latest low-cost designer diffusion line for the retailer and people are into it.
Sure, we wish there was a bit more stuff for guys. (Editor Rant: There need to be more designer diffusion lines that feature men’s clothing – we’d camp out for John Varvatos at H&M, just sayin.’) But the clothes, household items and bed/bath stuff that the pricey Italian fashion house created for Target are pretty fantastic. The best, though, has to be the kids’ stuff. And you know who is probably looking at kids’ stuff right now? Beyonce and Jay-Z, that’s who.
Of course, King Bey and Hova don’t have to do diffusion; they can afford anything they want. But both superstars seem pretty grounded, and Beyonce has a longstanding relationship with the retailer. She offered up a deluxe edition of her latest album 4 exclusively at Target and surprised members of the Boys and Girls Club of New York by showing up at the chain’s Harlem store during a dance lesson earlier this summer.
So what is Missoni offering up at Target that Bey and Jay might be interested in? Well, provided they have a baby girl, some pretty cute stuff.
It’s rompers and capes and mittens galore! We hear this stuff is flying out of stores and selling out online, but if anyone can get her hands on these super cute clothes, it’s Beyonce!
