This year's O Music Awards took on an ambitious goal: Longest Team Dance Marathon. That's 24 hours of nonstop dancing without one dancer dropping out.

A group of 13 lucky dancers assembled at the Roxy on Halloween Eve to take on this epic attempt. It all got started at 9:25 p.m. with DJ Diamond Kuts kicking off the marathon. If all goes according to plan, the 24th hour will hit during the live webcast of the O Music Awards tonight (which you can catch at 11:30pm ET/ 8:30pm PT on Omusicawards.com).

Just as the marathon got into full swing, MTV News' Jim Cantiello spoke to Diamond Kuts about the event (she'll also return for the final hour to DJ the dance party). Watch Below and Get More On The Marathon At The OMAs Site

Beyonce

By Maura Gavaghan

What separates the fans from the stans of King Bey? Well, for starters … Lots and lots of DVDs.

Fans listen to her songs on their iPods and watch her latest music videos on MTV and YouTube while they get ready for a night out. Stans (aka mega-obsessive fans) make Beyoncé a part of their daily lives. They have a space in their bedrooms dedicated to the preservation of DVDs released by the Diva herself and pride themselves on knowing the choreography to each of Beyoncé's music videos (not just "Single Ladies," like the average fan might). They get very upset if you ever dare suggest she is anything less than perfection (not that we ever would … we promise) and may even come after you on Twitter for daring to question anything the pop star does.

So before you head out to purchase Beyonce's highly anticipated "Live at Roseland" DVD, a 2-disc set that includes highlights from her four intimate performances at New York's historic venue last August, take a look at your fan status. If you think you are ready to take it to the next level, consider purchasing some of these DVDs to prepare yourself for the November 21 release of "Live at Roseland": Read More...

Ever since I interviewed Korean pop girl group Girls Generation, I’ve been obsessed. They’re catchy songs will have you hooked, their dance moves are never out of sync, and they are probably the nicest group of girls I have ever talked to. Yet, I wanted to know more about the K-pop phenomenon, so I sat down with MTV Style Blog's Mary H.K. Choi to talk about the girls' style, their overseas success and whether or not they will dominate the charts here in the United States.

“They have a huge crossover appeal,” Mary said. “Something about pop is just like completely universal, and the type of music that they do is very ear worming, hooks get stuck in your head.”

When I sat down with the girls they talked all about their love for Beyonce (their favorite song is “Diva”) and their admiration for girl groups like the Pussycat Dolls and the Spice Girls, who Tiffany calls “epic.”

On October 18, the girls released their latest music video, "The Boys," and with 13 million YouTube views in just over a week, it's clear these girls are here to stay. Read More...

Boo! It's Halloween! And that means that it's time to not only think about what you're spooky, creep-tastic plans are for this year, but also look back on some of the fun you've had on Halloweens past. And we know you've had some very good times.

When electronic pop duo Breathe Carolina stopped by the MTV Newsroom recently to talk about their album Hell Is What You Make It and its single "Blackout" (two titles that, to us, sound vaguely Halloween-like! So good for them!), they also recalled a fun little anecdote about how they spent Halloween last year.

"Last year, we had the most ridiculous outfits," David Schmitt said. "And we were in Minneapolis [for a show]. It was Halloween that day and we didn't have any costumes." Before long, however, they had hunted down some goofy ones to hit the stage in. "So I think Kyle [Even] went to Wal-Mart and we were gonna figure it out," he continued. "And we got all this hunting gear and Tasty, one of our techs, he made a paper duck costume and we shot him with Nerf guns. It was ridiculous; it was awesome."

We're gonna go ahead and clarify that as ridiculously awesome. In fact, it's even more ridiculously awesome when the guys tell it themselves. So, check it out and perhaps steal, we mean, borrow their idea for your own last-minute Halloween costume this year if you haven't already nailed one down already!

OK, we'll admit that when we saw the news of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce, we were a bit shocked. OK, we didn't think they were in it for the longhaul, but after only 72 days? Shocking.

But as some in the MTV Newsroom said, they saw it coming fast from the minute that the couple said "I do." "How?" we asked. Apparently they got all of their news from the tabloids, and to prove it, they broke out some covers that rightfully spelled disaster all along.

In Touch: On the cover currently on newstands, the magazine vows to go Inside Kim's Fake Marriage.

Kim Kardashian

By Maura Gavaghan

News broke earlier today that Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce only 72 days after tying the knot with NBA-er Kris Humphries. Kim is citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, and we must admit, we are not shocked here in the MTV Newsroom.

Fights over the wedding venue and family vacations made us question this marriage before it began, but at least Kim is not alone in her decision to end things promptly! Not-so-happily-ever after seems to be a trend in Hollywood, and Kim and Kris are hardly the first, nor will they be the last, to call it quits after only a short time of marriage. Some marriages last a lifetime, but in Hollywood the timeline (and normalcy associated with that given timeline) is a bit different.

Read on for our list of Hollywood's shortest marriages and to check out MTV's interview with Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, where they talk about their surprise when Kim announced her engagement just a few months after meeting Kris. Read More...

Lady Gaga

Like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Eva Longoria and now Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga is trying her hand at the restaurant business. According to Internet chatter, her proud papa Joseph will hook-up with his superstar daughter on the business.

The restaurant will be named Joanne and will be located on West 68th Street in New York City, where the Germanotta clan resides. Gaga has already invested in the spot, according to Foodista. It's reportedly slated for a soft launch this Thanksgiving, with a full launch in December. Art Smith (who was on "Top Chef Masters" and worked for Oprah) will reportedly be the restaurant's chef.

While right now there is no confirmation on the matter, there is a bit of back story behind the name chosen for the spot. Joanne is not only Gaga's middle name but is also the name of Joseph's late sister, who the pop star has spoken about as her spirit guide. Joanne died at the age of 19 from lupus. Read More...

The Voice

By Zachary Swickey

Many people thought NBC’s singing competition “The Voice” – which features songstress Christina Aguilera, country crooner Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo “Eff You” Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine as judges/mentors – would get swept under the rug considering “American Idol” has long had a stranglehold on the competitive singing market. Turns out, folks loved it, and the new season is gearing up to be a much bigger production with more singers, more blind rounds and a massive premiere.

Season two is set to kickoff in one of the most coveted television spots around – the slot immediately following the Super Bowl – and production is already well underway. This year the four teams will expand to twelve singers per coach, a significant increase from last year’s eight. Billboard spoke to the judges about the forthcoming season and Aguilera was quick to note the variety of singers the show will spotlight, saying, “I have everything from an opera singer to a powerhouse MC to soul singers."

“We’re gonna make the Super Bowl look small,” Shelton confidently claimed.

Though season one is already in the rearview mirror, the judges haven’t left their old contestants high and dry – Levine reportedly appears on several tracks for last year’s winner Javier Colon’s debut album, which will be released through Universal on Nov. 22 and features production duties from Pharrell Williams. Madonna has long made a career of being in just the right place with just the right people at just the right time. And it sounds like she's at it again on her upcoming untitled 12th album. Though Madge's spokesperson gave a "no comment" when asked by MTV News to confirm the news, the popular Madonna fan site MadonnaTribe reported this week that the Material One has recorded nine songs so far for the disc, including the lead single, "Give Me All Your Love," which will feature … wait for it … Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

The album, which she is reportedly recording with old pal William Orbit (Ray of Light) as well as dance veterans Martin Solveg and Benny Benassi, is slated for release early next year and unconfirmed rumors continue to bubble up that Madonna will play the new single when she performs at halftime at next year's Super Bowl on February 5.

Orbit has kept things close to the vest, but did recently tweet a tantalizing message that appeared to confirm the Super Bowl appearance. "I hesitate to make a comment about anything musical," he wrote. "Ya'll might think is a cryptic tease. But will say: \o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/\o/." The obvious cheerleader reference has been taken by Madonnaphiles to either be a confirmation of the appearance at the big game or a hint that the gig will feature some cheerleaders spelling out the singer's name in the stadium while she plays her new song.

So, you’ve procrastinated planning for tomorrow’s big party and your “go-to” costume just doesn’t seem to excite you the way it has for so many years. What to do? Fear not, with so many unique celebrity moments this past year, there are plenty of people to take inspiration from.

Here’s a list of some fairly easy, timely, last minute costumes to scramble together:

Charlie Sheen
And you thought it was easy to put on the “Superman” T-shirt underneath an undone button-up shirt. To be Sheen, simply grab a white shirt and write "#Winning" in the center. After all, who wouldn’t want to go out on Halloween as a celebrity?

Lady Gaga
Dig up any type of wig you’ve worn in the past, add a diamond encrusted lobster from your mom’s china cabinet as the hat, put on any sort of top you would never wear on a first date, and you're good to go!

90’s TV Show Character
Our favorite '90s classics were brought back to Nickelodeon this year, so why not get inspired by a member of the Tanner family or Bayside High Tiger? #Nostalgia
