The time has come!

Last week, we opened voting to find out which 2011 videos from fan-favorite artists Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Beyonce and Chris Brown were your favorites of the year and after several thousand votes were cast, we have the results!

So which videos ruled the roost in 2011? Check 'em out below.

Katy Perry, "The One that Got Away"

Katy's most recent clip dominated the competition, taking 54.76 percent of the vote. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" held it up in second with 30.73 percent while Katy's spring smash "E.T." nabbed only 14.51 percent of the vote (probably because the visual spectacle is further back in people's memories than her more recent vids).

Read on for the fan-favorite videos from Swift, Brit, Queen Bey and Chris Brown! Read more...

This weekend's Jimmy Fallon-hosted "Saturday Night Live" was like a big family Christmas get-together, reuniting many of the show's biggest stars for a holiday walk down memory lane. It was a season-best episode to close 2011.

Fallon was not shy about filling the show with the most famous characters from his own "SNL" days, kicking things off with Boston's favorite high school delinquents, Sully and Denise (Rachel Dratch). Fifteen years down the road, we find the pair up to their old tricks, but with a twist – time has actually passed and they are adults with five children (Weezer, Chubsy, Squeezebox, Hags and Baby Richard) trying to sneak into a high school dance. That's about all that's different though, the pair make out like old times ("You are!") and drink Franzia from a bladder sans box. Also back in rotation, Fallon's impressions of Jerry Seinfeld and Barry Gibb, psyching himself up in the mirror ala Mick Jagger (but this time with Andy Samberg) and, of course, the skit everyone is talking about, Fallon's return to the Weekend Update desk opposite Tina Fey in a joke-off with current anchor Seth Meyers and his former co-anchor, Amy Poehler. Watch:

Musical guest Michael Buble proved a good sport too, gamely playing to a cocaine joke during Fallon's warm-and-fuzzy, sing-song monologue and starring in a skit about the making of his (fake) Christmas duets album, which gave the cast (especially Fallon) the chance to lampoon some very famous musicians, including Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Kesha, M.I.A., Thom Yorke, Kanye West and Christmas tree-wearing Lady Gaga ("Is that really her?").

Check it out (as well as Buble's performance of "Have A Holly Jolly Christmas") after the jump. Read more...

Welcome to "That Happened THIS Year," MTV News' look back at the huge entertainment stories that were absolutely everywhere for a hot minute in 2011 but feel like they happened forever ago or faded so quickly from our collective memories that when we were brainstorming the year that was, we literally couldn't believe they happened this year!

Even the idea that Jennifer Lopez's career comeback began less than a year ago seems to defy physics. Did she somehow interrupt the space-time continuum in an effort to alter the very nature of time, where one year seems like three or four, to fool us into thinking she never really went anywhere?

For all intents and purposes, La Lopez's return to the top began on January 19, 2011 (we can't believe it either), when the tenth season of "American Idol" premiered on FOX. And in one fell swoop, nearly six years of box office flops and album misfires were erased and Lopez was suddenly everywhere again!

In the spring, Lopez's single "On the Floor" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at number nine (the highest debut of her career) and went on to peak at No. 3. It marked her first top ten hit since 2003's "All I Have." With about 445 million views on YouTube, the video for "On the Floor" eclipsed Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" in November to become the most watched video by a female artist ever on the video-watching website. (Justin Bieber's "Baby" remains the YouTube champion by a substantial margin with nearly 675 million views.)

She was even chosen for the cover of Glamour magazine's Women of the Year issue.

And that's far from all. Read more...

The Beach Boys

If you're a fan of nostalgia and classic rock, 2012 will bring with it an especially awesome treat: a reunion tour from the Beach Boys!

That's right, Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston and David Marks have finally puts years of lawsuits and bitter press spats behind them – "All that stuff is long forgotten," Love tells Rolling Stone – and are hitting the road for a 50-date 50th anniversary tour. The tour kickoff will officially go down at the New Orleans Jazz Fest in late April, but the group is planning something for the Grammys in February.

"There will be a surprise at the Grammys," Jardine tells RS. "We'll do something really exciting. There's a lot of interest in it, which is nice. It's going to be a very big operation."

(That means some sort of performance, right? Maybe with a contemporary artist, a la the recent – and regrettable – Stevie Wonder/Jonas Brothers medley of "Burnin' Up" and "Superstition" at the 2009 Grammys.)

Rumors were swirling that the Boys would announce the reunion at the recent Grammy Nominations Concert, which featured performances from Lady Gaga and Rihanna, but some behind-the-scenes turmoil forced the group to pull out of the special (which at the time seemed a little ominous for the tour moving forward).

In a statement, Brian Wilson said, "This anniversary is special to me because I miss the boys. It will be a thrill for me to make a new record and be on stage with them again." Read more...

It wasn’t supposed to be like this: 2011 was supposed to be the year of Lady Gaga. Coming off a mammoth first album and incredibly successful world tour, the 25 year-old was expected to rule the world with her massively hyped and eagerly anticipated sophomore album, Born This Way.

Make no mistake, Gaga’s Born This Way was a success, debuting on the Billboard 200 with over 1 million copies sold and putting four singles in the top ten. But the real zeitgeist this year was unexpected: a humble, English, 23 year-old soul singer who we know simply as Adele.

The songstress found success with her first album, 2008's 19, but it was she, and not Gaga, who enjoyed sophomore success the likes of which have not been seen since… well, ever!

The key to Adele’s success is simple: Her soaring, soulful vocals, coupled with heartfelt lyrics and elegiac production, stood out and struck a chord in the hearts of everyone from teenagers mourning the loss of love to grandmothers enjoying the throwback feel of her songs.

Here’s a gander at some of the impressive numbers Adele’s racked up this year (there were so many we couldn’t begin to list them all!): Read more...

Bey and Jay

Jigga man Jay-Z may have 99 problems but chivalry ain’t one – the rap superstar is showing his support his pregnant wifey Beyonce by joining her on a strict dieting regimen.

A source tells Us Weekly that the duo have been maintaining a "partially vegan diet," which will surely help Queen B get her notably drool-worthy physique back after her baby is delivered. (No one’s exactly sure when she’s due, but our best guess is early in the New Year.)

Discussing Hova’s new vegan-centric diet, the source states, "Jay’s trying to be disciplined, and he needs the energy to support her."

Beyonce previously talked to "20/20" about her eating habits, saying, "I’ve been really conscious [about food]. I’ve been trying my best not to lose control!"

The source also adds to Us that the couple were "dancing up a storm" at The Spare Room gaming lounge at the Hollywood Roosevelt – partying ‘til 4 AM, while Jay blows off steam from his monumental Watch the Throne tour with chum Kanye West. Read more...

Director David Fincher is nabbing all sorts of acclaim for his new film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" –the Daniel Craig-Rooney Mara starrer enjoys an 94 percent "fresh" rating on movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

The "Social Network" Oscar contender has established an awesome filmography in the last 15 years, including box office hits like "Se7en," cult faves like "Fight Club" and award-nominated behemoths like "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." But for those who don't know, he got his start directing music videos for artists like Madonna, Paula Abdul, the Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop and Aerosmith. Some of the clips he turned out in the late-80s and early-90s, in particular, have become iconic and genre-defining.

We don't always love what he has to say, but Chris Brown can be counted on to deliver first-rate hip-hop and R&B. His 2011 album F.A.M.E. was no exception, launching four successful singles ("Look At Me Now," "Beautiful People," She Ain't You" and "Next to You").

Like the four other stars (Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears and Beyonce) whose videos we showcased this week, Breezy had a humungous year. His gravity-defying, dance-centric performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in August landed him at number seven on our top ten list of the year's best live performances. His album F.A.M.E. debuted at the top of the charts in mid-March, marking his first number one record in the U.S., and he walked away with two VMA nominations, for Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration for "Look At Me Now."

So while "Look At Me Now" (above) is his most celebrated F.A.M.E. video, is it the fan-favorite? Check out the rest below and vote in our poll after the jump! Read more...

Holy traffic violations, Batman! TMZ reports that Justin Bieber got pulled over in L.A. on Wednesday. What terrible offense did the 17-year-old get in trouble for? Was he speeding? Running away from the scene of a crime? Doing wheelies in the parking lot at the Beverly Center?

Nope! It turns out that the teen star was stopped by police for making "an unsafe left turn" at an intersection in the City of Angels. Yep, that’s it everyone. He turned too fast. He was pulled over for that. And, the offense was so minor that the LAPD officer only gave the pop star a warning. But, in case you think Bieber isn’t all that baaaaad, think again. This marks the second time the teen has been pulled over in his pimped out ride. He previously cut an officer off back in October. At the time, he also only got a slap on the wrist.

We don’t know what Bieber could have been in a rush to get too (although he has been tweeting about school and recording sessions), but we’re sure whatever it was Bieber should have been following the rules of the road. Next time, he may not get away with just a warning.

Maybe I spoke too soon when I said last week's outing was the best "Survivor" episode of the season, because I think last night took that crown pretty quickly — and with the way things are currently set up, we're looking at an incredibly epic "Survivor" finale come Sunday night (December 18).

With only one episode to go, it's time to make some final predictions. Here's a breakdown of all the people left in the game, starting with who I think is least likely to win (spoiler: it's Brandon) and ending with my pick for Sole Survivor.
