Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
Last week, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart made their way out of Canada after wrapping up the filming of "Eclipse," which made our neighbor to the north slightly less star-studded than it was while the third installment of the "Twilight" film series was still shooting. Still, Canada got a pretty good trade-off, as they lost the "Twilight" stars but picked up Jay-Z, who visited Toronto on Halloween. He stopped by MuchMusic (with J. Cole, Pharrell and Wale in tow) and then threw down at the Air Canada Centre that night for a concert. He's probably hoping his hometown Yankees wrap up the World Series tonight, because Jigga will be on his way to London for a show on Wednesday night.
Hova wasn't the only star with an international flair over the weekend, as Green Day played a giant show at the city's Wembley Stadium on Sunday and Robert Pattinson made a trip to Japan. Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted!" archive, which includes over 350 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Madonna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, U2, Janet Jackson and Adam Lambert!

From taking the Staten Island Ferry out to Governors Island for the first time to seeing Asher Roth and N.E.R.D. play an awesome outdoor concert in front of a couple hundred people to chopping it up with Santigold, Mary J. Blige and Pharrell Williams, these last couple days have been non-stop.
Today was the big MTV Video Music Awards media forum at Radio City Music Hall, an annual event where the country's top radio stations all converge in a huge makeshift media room in the basement of the legendary venue.
Sway, who is an old pro at doing radio both as the host and the interviewee, offered me some sound advice as we braved the rain and walked a few blocks from the MTV News headquarters in Times Square to Radio City. "Just do you!" he said, sounding a little Nike commercial-esque. But then again, he does know best.
The room was a maze of tables operating as temporary radio stations, with all the artists moving from interview to interview. Kid Cudi, Ryan Leslie, Fabolous, Raekwon, Jay Sean, Wale, Melody from the Pussycat Dolls, DJ Cassidy, Twista and a whole host of others were all hard at work talking VMAs, new projects and — in the case of the Las Vegas stations — downing shots of tequila as well. That's just how they do it in Vegas.
From Detroit to Philadelphia, I spoke with as many radio shows that would have me, and the everyone wanted to know three things: What's Lady Gaga going to be wearing, is Madonna going to introduce Janet Jackson's tribute to Michael and will Eminem be a surprise performer? My lips are sealed! But if you tune in Sunday at 8 p.m., you're certain to find out!
Two flamboyant tours stopped in New York City last weekend: Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour and Of Montreal's latest stage show. Both artists share a flair for the dramatic, elevating their concerts to epic theatrical extravaganzas. But there's one major difference: ticket price. The best seats at MSG went for $350, while Of Montreal charged only $23 for general admission at Roseland Ballroom!
So any Madonna fans out there who are strapped for cash, here's why you can — and should! — check out Of Montreal's latest gigs and still get a Madgetastic show for a fraction of the price. Here's a breakdown of which show is better at what:
COSTUME CHANGES!
Madonna: Lots of black. Lots of top hats. Lots of shorts. Also, there's whatever this is.
Of Montreal: Frontman Kevin Barnes dresses like a cardinal! Then, he's a minotaur! He's in a bikini bottom! He's wearing a giant fanny pack! He's covered in fake blood! He's smothered in whipped cream! He's dressed like Prince! Shall I continue?
Advantage: Of Montreal. Half the fun of a Madonna concert is seeing what she's decked out in, but her latest wardrobe is a far cry from the Gaultier-designed Blonde Ambition garb. Stick with Of Montreal's wild and outrageous "WTF ARE THEY WEARING?!?" appeal.

The last time I saw Madonna, I was in eighth grade and she was gyrating on a bed. Well, when her Sticky & Sweet Tour hit New York's Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, the show was a little tamer — and by little, I mean a lot, but that doesn't mean there weren't a few surprises. Pharrell came out early in the show for "Beat Goes On" — of course, it's supposed to be Kanye West accompanying her for that song, but OK, I'll go with it.
Big stars like Madonna bring out the celebs not only onstage, but in the audience too: And there were Chris Rock and Kelly Ripa, front and center. Kelly seemed to enjoy the show a bit more than Chris, who looked like he was serving some kind of sentence just being there.

With the biggest names in baseball flying into town this week for what will be the last-ever
All-Star Game to be played at New York's legendary Yankee Stadium, we here at MTV News' New York offices have been stricken with baseball fever. It's hard to escape baseball this week. No matter where you turn, there's some sort of reminder that the fastest fielders, the strongest arms and the biggest bats in the game are all here, to ensure home-field advantage for their respective league in the fall classic.
All this baseball in the air got us thinking about music's all-stars — the artists who've shattered sales records this year, produced hit after hit and have been packing out arenas coast to coast. If music had an all-star game, who would we want to see in the dugout? After careful consideration, here are some of our picks — and feel free to let us know who'd go in your team in the comments section below. So, here goes.

· Of course, Oprah Winfrey would come in at #1, as usual, but some young turks made the annual Forbes magazine Celebrity 100 power list as well: Beyoncé is at #4; hubby Jay-Z follows at #7; Justin Timberlake made it to #12 (his pal Madonna is #21); #26 50 Cent edged out #27 Kanye West; Miley Cyrus came in at #35; Alicia Keys hit #65; the Jonas Brothers locked in #89; and Lauren Conrad just made the cut at #97.
· That ain't right! N.E.R.D. mastermind Pharrell Williams recently admitted that he made Madonna "cry like a baby" during the heated sessions for her Hard Candy album.
· The memoir from Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, that was on and then off a few months ago is back on. Now that Brit has begun working on her personal issues and Jamie Lynn is about to give birth to her first child, the book is being eyed for a September release.
· We get that "production issues" caused Coldplay to reshuffle their U.S. tour dates. But M.I.A. has cited a novel issue behind the cancellation of her European tour: "losing a sense of ... reality."
· A sexual-harassment lawsuit was filed Wednesday against New York radio personality Wendy Williams, claiming that the "Wendy Williams Experience" host's husband repeatedly propositioned an employee at the station and physically abused Williams in the workplace.
· We already knew "Hairspray" star Nikki Blonsky could sing, so naturally she's prepping her debut album, which she'll co-write. What will it sound like? She says a mix of Stevie Nicks, Melissa Etheridge and Sheryl Crow.
· Remy Ma might be behind bars, but that's not stopping her from releasing a new mixtape. The 17-song BlasRemy tape will contain verses from her fiancee, Papoose, as well as Chingy, Jackie-O and Shawnna.
· One good cover deserves another. After Gnarls Barkley did a take on the Violent Femmes' "Gone Daddy Gone" on their St. Elsewhere album, the veteran indie-rock band has decided to record their own version of Gnarls' smash "Crazy." Available on limited-edition blue vinyl, no less.
· First she was tapped to save the world, now "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere will try to bail out the music biz. The pintsize actress' reggae-flavored debut single, "Wake Up Call," will be promoted heavily by Candie's in an ad campaign due to kick off in July.
· "Regulate" rapper Warren G was arrested in Hollywood on Sunday after the car he was riding in was stopped by police for allegedly running a red light. When cops pulled the car over, they say they found enough marijuana in the vehicle to arrest the pair for possession with intent to sell.

So you're telling us that Pharrell can produce Madonna, sing the hook on another hit record, get ready to drop the new N.E.R.D. album...and get home in time to design furniture??
What have we been doing with our free time?
Oh, and it's called the "perspective" chair. For some reason.
Thanks to Kanye's always excellent blog for pointing this out. 'Ye also recently posted some ridiculous Chinese fashion pics that are totally in line with the spooky aesthetic trip he's been on lately...
So as those of you under the legal drinking age are well aware, Miley Cyrus and her bud Mandy have posted a response to Madonna's "4 Minutes" video. And not only are the kids talking 'bout it, but it looks as if Madge herself may have been watching.
But something happened on the way to the party: While the Material Dance Queen was having a good time feeling relevant with today's youth, her album leaked. Well, most of it. And she is so going to kill somebody. Lola, get in your room and take the Malawian kid with you! I'm gonna eat a carb!!
Or something like that. Anyway, we're here in New York, faaaaaar away from her 46-bedroom LA cottage, so we're safe -- until her army of publicists finds us. But here at MTV News (well, at least at Newsroom), we can't help but give these tracks a listen. I mean, the ten Madonna fans who still haven't found the leak online (big chunks of all the album's completed songs) need someone to tell them about it. So, here's our free-associative track-by-track, after the jump. Read more...
