There's been a mention of Dylan. But there's no Luke Perry, no Tori Spelling and, so far, no Brian Austin Green on the new "90210."

But "never say never," says the actor, who's currently starring in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," which airs the night before "90210."

"What are the odds?" Green laughed. "I'm doing this new show, and I'm excited about it, and I want to do press for it, and they f---ing release a new '90210.' They did it on purpose, just to spite me. I know it. Aaron Spelling's laughing at me right now from the grave. Good ol' '90210' never dies, does it? Never."

When we caught up with Green on the "Terminator" set, he hadn't yet seen the new "90210," but he had heard enough about it to figure out that there were echoes of David Silver and his family present. "There is Silver, yeah, my little sister," he said. "I actually laughed when I figured that out, that she's playing Erin, the little girl I lost in the park while I was doing crystal meth. That's pretty funny."

But would an actual reunion between the fictional brother and sister be in order? "I haven't done anything on the show yet," Green said. "I think, ultimately, it's a time issue. We're here [on the 'Terminator' set] every day, all day, so it would have to be while we're on break that I'd get over there to do it. But I have no issue with doing it or no issue with the show. I'm curious to see how well it does."

If not an appearance, how about some sort of meta-reference? Andrea Zuckerman and Jesse Vasquez's daughter, Hannah, got a shout-out in the premiere for looking too old to be a teen, just like dear old mom was (Gabrielle Carteris was 29 when she played a high school sophomore).

"That's always been the joke, how old everyone was compared to their characters," Green laughed. "They can't reference me in the same way. If David Silver was doing the score on 'Terminator,' that would be something. If he was the DJ on the set of 'Terminator,' that would be something. You really can't cross the two that much in that way, though. It's a fine line."

So, another installment of the new "90210" down, and only a few more pieces of juicy gossip for us crazed fans to relish. We found out this week that the father of Kelly's son Sam is someone she was involved with in high school. Apparently, they became involved again four years ago, the mystery man played father for a bit, then some issues got in the way, and he decided not to be a part of her son's life anymore. I sat on the edge of my seat with this new information. Is it Dylan? Brandon? WHICH ONE!?

Let's dissect this one, guys: Brandon is certainly more likely to play the father type, but Dylan is more likely to drop off the face of the Earth and no longer want a part in the kid's life. Then again, she did say "play" father, which leads me to this hypothesis: Dylan is the father. (Let's be honest, he and Kelly are more likely to have had a kid together, thus further linking them in their inextricably connected lifelong relationship.) Brandon and Kelly, however, got involved a few years ago, and he "played father" for a while until she did something that he just could not stomach. Did she cheat on him with Dylan? (Again?!) Did he originally think he's the father but found out that the kid is actually Dylan's? (Rude!) Only something as hurtful as that could send Brandon away, never wanting to be a part of Sam's life again. Who knows?

Certainly, one of the highlights of the show was seeing Jackie Taylor, still drunk, very aged and, well, let's be honest, making the same mistakes she made more than a decade ago. One of the low points was not seeing Lucille Bluth (I'm calling her that from now on) even once on the show ... and not seeing Brenda!! WTF?

As for the new cast's story lines, they're really not worth mentioning as of yet. So ... no comment on that note.

What do you think of the new show? Do you enjoy it, or is it overshadowed by the old series?

A little piece of all of us disappeared in 2000, when the amazing drama that was "Beverly Hills, 90210" left the air after 10 sideburned seasons.

But soon, we'll get a bit of the magic back in a new "90210" series set for the CW. Of course, we've known for a while that Jennie Garth would return as Kelly Taylor, now a guidance counselor. But this week we found out that Shannen Doherty is moving back to our fav zip code as Brenda Walsh.

For fans who followed every twist, turn and unfortunate hairstyle when Doherty and the gang originally reigned on Fox (and for the many more who soaked up every rerun in syndication), this is a bigger headline than Andrea ever dug up. Kelly and Brenda did not get along on- or offscreen (long rumored to be a big reason why Doherty left the show in the first place). Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a little longer for Donna Martin to join this happy catfight: Though Tori Spelling originally agreed to return in a recurring role, her appearance has now been pushed back after the birth of her new daughter.

Even the Peach Pit is coming back, but no word yet if Nat and his pearls of wisdom will return as well. Now, we're just waiting for the other original cast members to give up their Lifetime movie roles and move back to the old neighborhood, so that we may all be complete again. (Luke Perry has publicly said he "doesn't see it happening," but we can!) But are we just overly nostalgic here? Will the new "90210" have the same feel as before? Or is the whole thing a ridiculous idea?

One more thing: DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES!
