Now that Anna Sui is working on a fall line for Target inspired by "Gossip Girl," we thought we would round up some of the chicest, and sometimes outrageous, fashions that the ladies, and one very notable gentleman, have worn (thanks to the skills of the show's costume designer, Eric Daman) while stirring up trouble on the streets of Manhattan.

Blair Waldorf: Known for choosing sunny colors (and lots of headbands) that don't always match her naughty attitude, Blair has that snobby, uptown look down. She exemplifies it here with a bright-green jacket paired with yellow accessories and lavender tights.

Serena van der Woodsen: Serena's downtown yin definitely complements Blair's uptown yang. Even though she lives on the Upper East Side, S loves to rock a relaxed chic look, like the one seen here, by pairing skinny jeans and boots with a hip T-shirt, big bag and funky necklace.

Chuck Bass: The show's resident male fashionista/ dandy, Chuck is certainly not afraid of feminine colors. In this tuxedo look, he's once again wearing a shade of purple and a bow tie. Chuck is certainly not Chuck without some sort of neck accessory.

Jenny Humphrey: Jenny lives in Brooklyn and is poor (relatively speaking), but the aspiring designer also has a spunky sense of fashion, which means that even when she's in her school uniform, she'll make it edgier with tulle and army boots.

Lily van der Woodsen: Serena had to inherit her cool sense of fashion from someone. We like when the former wild-child-turned-society-mom showed off the many elements of her personality with a demure leather dress with sequined detailing.

Although it's a long shot, and we'd imagine that Anna is finding her muses in the show's main characters, we'd love it if she designed a hip maid's uniform based on Dorota.

I have to admit there's something catchy about "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester's leaked single, "Birthday." It has great bassline, a strong beat and isn't some cheesy, overly electro-sounding song.

The song, which was leaked on Perez Hilton's Web site, is about a girl who likes a boy and warns him not to hurt her (which makes me wonder why it's called "Birthday," but I digress). It's a really tried-and-true pop-song theme, but “Gossip Girl” star Leighton, who claims to have "always done [music]," also seems to be embracing what she calls an electronic-rock hybrid sound for the track.

She says her musical inspirations for the album are M.I.A. and Gwen Stefani. To me, it sounds closer to Stefani, and I'm not sure we want to hear Leighton rap. But it's definitely a formula that works for her and her sweet voice. She recently spoke to eTV about the album, saying that she's currently hard at work on the album and that "I'm figuring out everything, so I can't tell you too much."

She added, "I've been working on it my whole life, obviously. There's a first time for everyone [to release music], and I really love it." Well, we have to say that if the rest of the album sounds like this, she's one actress we might not mind listening to — we just wonder what Blair Waldorf would have to say about it.

Isn't that the question on everyone's mind after watching the sexual tension between Ms. Carr and Dan turn into full-on make-out sessions on the past few episodes of "Gossip Girl"? I asked the source herself, Laura Breckenridge — better known as Rachel Carr — at Wednesday night's Gen Art Film Festival launch party in SoHo.

"Well, he's a very handsome guy and he's a very sweet guy. I do have to say that when you're doing that on set, it doesn't sound very sexy. You're in a scene, and it's very technical, so it's not necessarily a steamy make-out scene, as much as it seems ... but he's very nice. I've got to say, those scenes sometimes are more awkward than sexy, but it was fun."

It can't be easy to be Blake Lively, watching her onscreen on-again-off-again boyfriend and real-life love make out with other women, but Breckenridge dismissed the notion. "No, they're very professional," she said, smiling. It seems the catty nature of the show is something that doesn't sneak its way into real life.

In fact, the "Gossip Girl" set seems to be a great place to work, as we heard from Michelle Trachtenberg at Sundance in January, and Breckenridge's experience was no different. Most of her scenes were with show's three hottest stars — Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and, of course, Penn Badgley — and she had a great time. "[It was] one of the most fun jobs I've ever had. First of all, the show's a lot of fun. Also the cast and crew are amazing. I was the newbie on set, and they were very welcoming. I loved going to work; I don't think you can ask for a better working environment.

"I don't know if I can pick a favorite [cast member to work with]. I worked mainly with Penn, Blake and Leighton, and I really loved all three of them. I can't pick, I honestly can't choose. They were all very fun."

In light of Michelle Trachtenberg's forthcoming return to the show this spring as troublemaker Georgina Sparks, it's possible for anyone's character to return to the show (except maybe Bart Bass). What about Ms. Carr? "I'm not sure. I think Ms. Carr left in a lot of scandal. She fell from grace a bit," Breckenridge said.

You never know.

Picking Hollywood's finest for our Valentine's single teen heartthrob list turned out to be more of a challenge than I thought it would. There were so many guys that came to mind, but not all could be included. Some were cut simply because they have a significant other and "single" was a key criteria, but some were for other reasons. Here's who didn't make the cut:

Corbin Bleu - Yes, Corbin is a cutie. He can sing, he can dance — he is even single! And I apologize to all you Bleu birds out there, but I have to say this: Corbin is just plain boring. Come out with a steamy music video, CB! It takes more than a pretty smile to be a heartthrob these days.

Ed Westwick - Oh Chuck Bass, with your red velvet suits and penchant for burlesque shows, who doesn't love you? Apparently your castmate Jessica Szorh (Vanessa to those that go by character name only) feels the same — last week while courtside at a Knicks game you engaged in a PDA-session that crushed the dreams of many, present company included. I think the CW needs to implement a rule in which there can only be one inter-show romance at time and Penn and Blake got there first.

All of the Jonas Brothers - Every Jonas has a girlfriend! I would've bet money Kevin was single, but alas, a search showed that he too has a female to accompany him on triple-dates with Joe and Camilla and Nick and Selena. Love bugs indeed.

Anyone we missed that puts you into cardiac arrest? Let us know!

Other MTV staffers have been able to blog about "Gossip Girl" as it relates to their own fancy-pants experiences as New York high schoolers. I always considered it a show set in an alternate universe my decidedly middle-class self would likely never cross paths with in real life. Until last night.

That mysterious, marble mansion where Chuck Bass met the girl of his dreams who turned out to be a sort-of high-class escort for an evil secret society? That's the site of my former career as a cater waiter. I used to bartend in the very place we'll now know as "the Chuck Bass version of Narnia." (I once served Martha Stewart a grapefruit juice there!) I gave Joan Rivers a slice of cake in the library where the masked nanny seduced "the wrong Mr. Bass." And I passed tuna tartar and pigs in a blanket to wedding guests in the hallway where Chuck unwittingly rubbed shoulders with the most powerful men in the world. That house (at 2 E. 63rd St., in case you're interested) used to be the home of the New York Academy of Sciences, but its beautiful Mediterranean decor made it an ideal party venue too. And by the way, according to the New York Times, Chuck could probably buy the place for a song these days.

OK, so obviously, in a city that's constantly the subject of TV shows and movies, this happens all the time. But this odd clash of worlds reminded me of a secret I have to share with all of you aspiring young stargazers: Aside from becoming an entertainment journo, the hands-down best way to meet celebrities at your work is to be a) a waiter or b) a juice/ coffee bar employee. In my short time as either of those, I served the likes of Tom Hanks, Matthew Broderick, Beyoncé, Ben Stiller and Spike Lee. My husband used to make smoothies for Gwyneth Paltrow, Beck, Chris Rock, the Beastie Boys and just about every model employed by Ford. Pouring cocktails and picking up half-chewed hors d'oeuvres may not be the ambitious person's path to fame, but it's certainly the lazy girl's path to famous people. Sure beats being a "nanny" like Chuck's friend Elle.

Chace Crawford has teamed up with Leona Lewis for the video for her new single, "I Will Be." In the clip, the "Gossip Girl" star and the Grammy nominee play Bonnie-and-Clyde-esque characters. Chace follows in a time-honored tradition of handsome young guys and beautiful starlets mugging for the camera as a pop star sings their heart out.

It's a tradition that everyone from Angelina Jolie (Rolling Stones' video for "Anybody Seen My Baby") to Selena Gomez (Jonas Brothers' video for "Burnin' Up") has taken part in. Here we look back on some recent celebrity cameos in some of your favorite music videos.

Milo Ventimiglia in Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry": The "Heroes" star plays Fergie's Camaro-loving boyfriend in the video. He rolls with a rough crowd and has a ponytail, so we imagine there's only so much of that the Dutchess can take.

Evan Rachel Wood in Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends": An epic love story between two young people who are separated (thanks to a war), but still remain devoted to one another. It's a tearjerker.

Camilla Bella in the Jonas Brothers' "Lovebug": It was a cameo that stirred up controversy in the teen universe when reports surfaced that Joe (who was supposed to be with Taylor Swift) fell in love with Camilla while filming. If it matters at all, Camilla is actually in love with some other guy in the video.

Scarlett Johansson in Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around ... Comes Around": There's lots of jealousy and sexy, moody glances going on between Justin and Scarlett in this video. Eventually she cheats on him with his friend. Spoiler alert: She dies.

Justin Timberlake in Rihanna's "Rehab": OK, so theoretically he's somehow featured in the song (but his big contribution is him muttering one spoken line), but really all Justin does is act as desert eye-candy for Rihanna to fondle.

Who would you like to see make a cameo in your favorite band's music video? Tell us below!

There's no way we're going to slight Chace Crawford from "Gossip Girl" for doing his part to help homeless people. It's fantastic that he took the time out to tape a PSA for the "Teens for Jeans" campaign and we commend him.

But we are going to slight the dude in the PSA outtakes that leaked online recently for not taking the time to familiarize himself with the perfectly coifed Crawford's name. In it, an unidentified gentleman refers to Chace as "Chance."

The actor was cool about it, telling the guy, "It's all right ... it's all right. The 'c' messes everyone up. Just throw that 'n' in there."

And while that flub was apparently unintentional, we are puzzled by the line that appears in the actual PSA: "One in three homeless people in America are homeless." Since it seems the Department of Redundancy Department is probably not ruling that ad agency, we're assuming that one was intentional.

In the outtakes, Chace later acknowledges he has a bit of a memory problem, so we have a suggestion to fix that.

We here in the newsroom have a fabulous robot-like coffee maker. One of the options is the raspberry-spark-flavored tea, which also has gingko biloboa in it. I'd be happy to help Chance — er, Chace — make a cup of it. Ginkgo is known to aid in memory retention.

That offer, Chace, is an open invitation and you are free to stop by whenever and I will gladly whip you up some raspberry spark. So, when are you free?

The Golden Globes were back this year in a big way, and some of our favorite young stars joined their elder celebrity statesmen and -women for the festivities. From the Jonas Brothers to the "High School Musical" cast, the pop stars, small-screen beauties and blockbuster sweethearts were out in full force. So how did these fresh faces fare on the red carpet? Here is our opinion. (Click on the names for photos to refresh your memory.)

Blake Lively: Thumbs down. The "Gossip Girl" star is usually a hit on the red carpet, but this one was certainly a miss. The dress itself is beautiful, but it didn't seem to fit her and the color of the dress did not match her skin tone. Also, she could have done something with her hair. It seems this is the only style she is comfortable going for. Next time, take a risk, Blake!

The Jonas Brothers: Nick Jonas: Thumbs down. Velvet jacket, no tie — you should know better. It's the Golden Globes! Kevin Jonas: Thumbs up. Never can go wrong with a classic tux. Joe Jonas: Thumbs up. The red shirt underneath his suit was a good choice.

Miley Cyrus: Thumbs down. Even though it was age-appropriate, the dress was boring. She should have worn something with a little more color.

Vanessa Hudgens: Thumbs up and down. Big thumbs up for the dress, which fit her perfectly and was a great color for her. Thumbs down on her hair, which was a little too messy for this dress. She could have glammed it up a little bit more. But in her defense, the messy hair was the trend for the night. Right, Eva Mendes and Drew Barrymore?

Zac Efron: Thumbs up! Zac clearly knows how to dress on the red carpet. A simple suit with a skinny tie always seems to work for him.

Megan Fox: Thumbs up. The gold was a nice change for Megan Fox who we usually see in a lot of bright colors. The dress fit her beautifully and I loved those earrings.

Beyoncé: Thumbs up!! Beyoncé looked positively stunning in her gown as she and Jay-Z made a rare red-carpet appearance together. Yet, I'm not sure if too many people were looking at that dress, her necklace of diamonds definitely stole the show.

Worst Dressed:
America Ferrera: It was all wrong. The dress was not flattering on her at all and not something that should be worn to the Golden Globes, or for any award show.

Best Dressed:
Hayden Panettiere: Hayden always seems to know what to wear on the red carpet. In this purple number, she was definitely my choice for best dressed of the night!

That is just my opinion. I want to know what you think. Let us know which pop star you thought looked the best and worst on this year's Golden Globes red carpet.

With Britney Spears' career seemingly on the upswing and li'l sis Jamie Lynn lying low while raising baby Maddie Briann, it's probably safe for their mother, Lynne Spears, to step forward and admit she was at least partly responsible for her daughters' tumultuous lives. If things hadn't turned out well, we wonder if she really would be taking the blame while out promoting her book, "Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World."

To be (sort of) fair, Lynne is hardly the only, or even the worst, celebrity mother of 2008. And she seems to be trying to make up for any neglect by telling England's Daily Mail she almost called the memoir "It's All My Fault." Let's take a look back at some of the other famous moms and dads who maybe shouldn't be writing parenting guides anytime soon.

10) Billy Ray Cyrus. Sure, he seems like the perfect dad on "Hannah Montana," but the guy stood by during Miley's infamous photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz and didn't bother to question whether that was the wisest way to promote his daughter's wholesome image. Plus, it's kind of creepy that he's cool with the fact that the 20-year-old underwear model he met while hosting "Nashville Star" is allegedly dating his 16-year-old daughter.

9) Madonna. Well, Madge actually seems like a pretty devoted mother most of the time she's seen with her brood. But just two years after adopting David Banda, now 3, from Malawi, her divorce from Guy Ritchie has been splashed across the tabloids, as are her alleged exploits with Yankee Alex Rodriguez. Maybe 12-year-old Lourdes is used to being uprooted and moved about the globe, but we still feel sorry for her, David and 8-year-old Rocco.

8. Michael Lohan. He's been known as an all-around dodgy guy for years. And yet he somehow thought it was his right to publicly call Lindsay's girlfriend Samantha Ronson "a drug" and say she was manipulating his daughter.

7) The parents who allowed their kids to be taken care of by the "Baby Borrowers."

6) Jeff Archuleta. You've got to assume that "American Idol" producers are used to annoying stage parents, so for David Archuleta's pops to get banned from going backstage during the show, he must have been pretty overbearing.

5) Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. If the rumor that these two hot messes are reuniting turns out to be true, then they'd move way up on this list. But the photos that surfaced of 14-year-old Bobbi Kristina posing seductively and smoking pot were bad enough. Time to teach your daughter about a little thing called image control, Whitney!

4) Sarah Palin. When news broke that the teenage daughter of the Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate was pregnant, Palin did rush to Bristol's defense and railed against the media for picking on her. But then she thrust the girl and her baby daddy into photo ops and onto the national stage every chance she got. All politics aside, shouldn't Bristol at least have been grounded and forced to stay in school for as long as she could?

3) Rob Lowe. OK, we don't actually know if the Brat Packer sexually harassed his kids' nanny, but his lawsuit against her (and her subsequent countersuit) are not going to do much to help the boys' mental health down the road.

2) Mitch Winehouse. Like Papa Lohan, Amy's father appears to enjoy talking to the media a little too much for his concern to look sincere. I'm sure she really appreciated when he told everyone Winehouse was dying of emphysema, when really she was just in danger of developing it down the road.

1) Rufus Humphrey, Lily van der Woodsen, Bart Bass and Howie Archibald — a.k.a. the parents of "Gossip Girl." Every time I see some talking head denouncing the show as being a bad influence on teenagers, I have to laugh and think, "What about the awful example it's setting for rich, neglectful, self-involved and clueless parents?" Hey, it's the holiday season; we didn't really want to award a real person this honor anyway.

Now, let's give this a positive spin. Who do you think were the best celeb parents of the year? Tell us!

Last week, "Gossip Girl" author Cecily von Ziegesar told MTV News that she didn't appreciate how the TV adaptation "ruined" her hard-edged character Vanessa.

"In the book, she's kick-ass and has a shaved head and wears lots of black ... and I think a lot of the readers who don't usually read teen fiction indentify with Vanessa," von Ziegesar told MTV News. "Even though I don't like Vanessa's character, it's nothing against [actress] Jessica [Szohr]. I just wish Vanessa was like she is in the books a bit more."

Last night, Szohr got the chance to respond to the writer's comments, and took her criticism in stride. "I think Vanessa's much softer than she is in the books," she said. "I mean, in the books, she wore combat boots and shaved her head and didn't care about anything. [The TV version of Vanessa] is tough in her own skin and everything like that. She steps up to [the girls] on the Upper East Side, but she's too soft in certain situations. But who knows what's to come in the next 10 episodes?"

Szohr added that she does wish her character would stand up for herself a little more. "I feel like she keeps getting left by these guys, and she's always there to help take care of everyone, which is really sweet of her," she said. "But I think she needs to step up and be like, 'Screw all you guys. I'm going to Brooklyn and finding a hot guy!' "

Read what Szohr and Kelly Rutherford had to say about who dies this season on "Gossip Girl" here.
