"When Beyonce was a young girl, she met a magical witch named Grisora in the woods while gathering berries and Grisora told Beyonce she would make her sing with the unmatched beauty of a thousand nightingales in return for her first born child," gossip columnist Bryan Spees tells "StarFix."

It seems Grisora has been keeping tabs on Bey and was even in the front row at the VMAs when she revealed her pregnancy (a tough ticket to get, Bryan notes) and even though Jay-Z offered her a room full of gold to go away, Grisora would not be dissuaded.

We often read crazy stories in the news that seem too wildly outrageous to be true, but when there’s a police report to back-up the insanity it’s hard to argue. Case in point: Ronald Deaver, a 31-year-old man who shanked a dude for not knowing the marital status of Jay-Z and Beyonce. (Now, that s**t cray!).

Fox News reports that one hour before we rung in 2012, Deaver allegedly stabbed a 48-year-old man outside his apartment in Parma, Ohio, and has been charged with felonious assault for the incident. Det. Marty Compton says the fight began “because the victim did not know that singer Beyonce’s husband is rapper Jay-Z.” The officer says authorities were called following the stabbing and the victim was rushed to a local hospital before being transferred to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he is currently in good condition.

Police tracked Deaver to his apartment, however, he was nowhere to be found when they arrived and a woman at the residence said he was no longer living there. Police caught up with the culprit a short time later and the woman was arrested for obstructing justice (filling in the blanks – she was likely hiding him).

Me gasping at my roommate’s lack of knowledge of Katy Perry’s divorce from Russell Brand seems pretty insignificant at this point.

Jigga man Jay-Z may have 99 problems but chivalry ain’t one – the rap superstar is showing his support his pregnant wifey Beyonce by joining her on a strict dieting regimen.

A source tells Us Weekly that the duo have been maintaining a "partially vegan diet," which will surely help Queen B get her notably drool-worthy physique back after her baby is delivered. (No one’s exactly sure when she’s due, but our best guess is early in the New Year.)

Discussing Hova’s new vegan-centric diet, the source states, "Jay’s trying to be disciplined, and he needs the energy to support her."

Beyonce previously talked to "20/20" about her eating habits, saying, "I’ve been really conscious [about food]. I’ve been trying my best not to lose control!"

The source also adds to Us that the couple were "dancing up a storm" at The Spare Room gaming lounge at the Hollywood Roosevelt – partying ‘til 4 AM, while Jay blows off steam from his monumental Watch the Throne tour with chum Kanye West.

It’s been quite the year for Jay with the wild success of Watch the Throne – his joint album with his partner-in-crime West. The disc has been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rap Album category with the duo also picking up a nom for Best Rap Performance for the track “Otis.” Of course, their biggest jam, “N**gas in Paris,” – which they performed a total of 26 times over 3 nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles – just took the No. 8 spot on MTV’s first Best Songs of the Year list, while also coming in at No. 4 on the Best Artists of the Year list. What else can you expect when the two biggest powerhouses of rap combine forces?

Beyonce had no problem basking in the limelight either this year. While some critics weren’t feeling the R&B nature of her newest album, 4, most of them were still loving it as much as we do. Of course, she also made our Best Artist list coming three spots behind her hubby at No. 7. You’d think a pregnancy might be a career setback or incite a momentary lull in productivity, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with Bey, who dropped a whopping seven music videos this year alone.

If you believe that, you'd have to close your eyes and imagine that the bundle of joy would be tucked away in enough square footage to become a lovely home.

Peaking at floor plans on ThePlanCollection.com, we found some places we'd move into today that would be dwarfed by just the nursery alone.

For instance, this lovely 3 bedroom, 3 bath ranch only measures up to a mere 1992 square feet, 208 square feet less than Baby Bey can be looking forward to.

And one could also move into this 1751 square foot 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch.

Looking at these homes, we've got to doubt that Beyonce and Jay-Z are really planning to move their newborn into any space he/she could get lost in.

Forget all of this complicated real estate. Let's remember back on the simple moment when Bey announced to the world she and Jay were expecting.

Sure, we wish there was a bit more stuff for guys. (Editor Rant: There need to be more designer diffusion lines that feature men's clothing – we'd camp out for John Varvatos at H&M, just sayin.') But the clothes, household items and bed/bath stuff that the pricey Italian fashion house created for Target are pretty fantastic. The best, though, has to be the kids' stuff. And you know who is probably looking at kids' stuff right now? Beyonce and Jay-Z, that's who.

Of course, King Bey and Hova don't have to do diffusion; they can afford anything they want. But both superstars seem pretty grounded, and Beyonce has a longstanding relationship with the retailer. She offered up a deluxe edition of her latest album 4 exclusively at Target and surprised members of the Boys and Girls Club of New York by showing up at the chain's Harlem store during a dance lesson earlier this summer.

So what is Missoni offering up at Target that Bey and Jay might be interested in? Well, provided they have a baby girl, some pretty cute stuff.

It's rompers and capes and mittens galore! We hear this stuff is flying out of stores and selling out online, but if anyone can get her hands on these super cute clothes, it's Beyonce!

By now, it’s really not that surprising to find Lady Gaga making the Top 10 of some list magazines always come up with: She was the top artist in Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2010, No. 1 in Forbes annual list of the 100 most powerful celebrities in the world, and, once again, No. 1 in DoSomething’s "Celebs Gone Good" list for her strong advocacy for social causes. But the latest list that Gaga makes is a little more unexpected: The 25-year-old is No. 9 in Vanity Fair's 2011 New Establishment list.

According to a press release from the esteemed magazine, the New Establishment list represents an "innovative new breed of buccaneering visionaries, engineering prodigies and entrepreneurs, who quite often sport hoodies, floppy hair and backpacks.” Gaga sporting a hoodie and a backpack? Wash your mouth out! Actually, Gaga joins the much-more-likely-to-be-wearing-hoodies billionaires Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Jack Dorsey of Twitter on the list because of her budding entrepreneurial efforts in the world of technology.

Yes, somehow despite her busy schedule of being an international pop superstar and fashion icon, Gaga manages to squeeze some time in her day to do business. Gaga the businesswoman (Boss Monster?) has no less than four concurrent business deals: She’s an investor in Blackplane, a social network for celebrities, creative director of Polaroid, and has partnered with Zynga to create a “GagaVille” videogame and with Monster to produce her own line of to-die-for headphones that were showcased in the "Bad Romance" video. To sum up: Gaga rules us all.

The star is not the only musician who made this list. At No. 21 is Jay-Z. Mr. Carter is an extremely savvy, old-school mogul who has dipped his hands just about everything, from entertainment retail and real estate to nightlife and sports (he is a part-owner of New Jersey Nets). Jay also has his own investment company. Seriously, how did Jay find time to join Kanye on stage at the VMA’s?

Joining Gaga and Jay-Z at No. 50 is Justin Timberlake. I know what you’re thinking: Not another thing to distract JT from music! Indeed, besides trying to make it onto the Hollywood A-list, Justin’s also venturing into tech entrepreneurship, investing in tech startups like Stipple, Dekko, and in a truth-is-stranger-than-fiction development, the "Social Network" star also bought a $35 million stake in MySpace in June. It’s all well and good that you are branching out and exploring new challengers, Justin, but seriously, can we get that follow-up to FutureSexLoveSounds already?

There were plenty of water-cooler moments during last night's MTV Video Music Awards, but the one that undoubtedly left the most tongues wagging was Beyoncé's onstage reveal that she and hubby Jay-Z are expecting their first child together. Congrats to the soon-to-be parents!

Now, we can only guess at the kinds of feverish preparations underway in anticipation of the arrival of Baby Knowles-Carter, but if we were the wagering sort, we'd bet it includes copious reading bouts of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" punctuated by shopping outings for infant-size leotards.

But, really, we don't think Beyoncé needs to stress it. She's got plenty of maternal musings stockpiled into her prolific song catalog. So, as Auntie Crush's baby gift to Bey and Jay, we've rounded up five gleaming gems.

Song: "Girls (Who Rule the World)"

Lyrics: "Who runs the world? Girls / Some of them men think they freak this like we do / But no they don't"

Takeaway: On the surface, this powerhouse seems like pointed girl-power propaganda for Beyoncé Jr., but really, it's just as much a cautionary tale for boys who think they are all that. Best be listenin' up, Jay Jr.

Song: "If I Were a Boy"

Lyrics: "You don't listen to her / You don't care how it hurts / Until you lose the one you wanted / 'Cause you're taking her for granted / And everything you had got destroyed"

Takeaway: Hear that, baby boy. Here's a guidebook to everything you shouldn't do in a relationship.

Song: "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)"

Lyrics: "If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it"

Takeaway: And while we're at it, if you heed the advice of "If I Were A Boy," and land a lady you want to spend the rest of your life with, for heaven's sake, put a—oh, you heard Mama B already. We don't need to be a broken record.

Song: "Love on Top"

Lyrics: "(They say love hurts) / But I know / (It's gonna take the real work) / Nothing's perfect, but it's worth it after fighting through my tears"

Takeaway: It's fitting that this tidbit of advice comes from the tune Beyoncé crooned to announce her pregnancy. And they're wise words, indeed. Remember little baby girl or boy, true love ain't easy. (It's not called "Dangerously in Love," for nothin'!)

Lyrics: "A little sweat ain't never hurt nobody"

Takeaway: If you want a bootilicious body like Beyoncé, you're gonna have to sweat. So slink into that infant-sized leotard and get your dance on!

Earlier this week, one of the year’s most anticipated albums, the Jay-Z and Kanye West collaboration Watch the Throne, dropped to much fanfare, a bevy of positive reviews and a big opening on the iTunes charts, where it hit No. 1 in 23 countries.

The album is a rarity these days in that it didn’t leak online before its official release. Now, the video for the set’s first single, “Otis,” is poised to do the same. With the exception of two images that made their way online just days after the song was released, little is known about the “Otis” video.

What we do know is that it is directed by Spike Jonze, the mastermind director behind the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” Bjork’s “It’s Oh So Quiet” and Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” as well as the award-winning films “Being John Malkovich,” “Adaptation” and “Where the Wild Things Are.”

We also know it will make its official debut tomorrow (Thursday, 8/11) at 8:56 PM on MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV.com and BET.

Immediately after the multi-channel premiere event, “Otis” will air on MTV Jams and MTV Hits, with an encore airing on MTV2 at 11 PM.

“Otis” premiered last month on DJ Funkmaster Flex's Hot 97 radio show in New York. The song features a sample of Otis Redding's 1966 classic "Try a Little Tenderness," with Jay-Z and 'Ye trading eight bar rhymes with no melodic refrains.

Has Beyonce finally folded to the Jigga Man's hopes to deliver a little Sean Carter? After months and months of (false) reports that R&B diva Beyonce had a bun in the oven for the first time, B is speaking out confirming that kids are in her very near future.

In one of her only sit-down interviews with CNN, Beyonce touched on her relationship with husband and rap superstar Jay-Z and the anticipation to become a mom in the coming years.

"I feel like a woman. I feel like I'm very aware of who I am," Beyonce told interviewer Piers Morgan.
