People.com has a photo of the two young actors jumping around and laughing as they take some time out to meet up in Vancouver, where Taylor is shooting "New Moon" and Selena is working on her new flick, "Ramona and Beezus."

We just have to wonder what Selena's good friend, Demi Lovato, has to say about the whole thing. When asked by MTV News if she'd like to have a song on the "New Moon" soundtrack, Selena's BFF said she'd love to. "Edward Cullen — I would write a love song to him," she said, before giddily hinting that she might actually be on Team Jacob, "Or Jacob Black!"

Well, we hope that Demi's "Twilight" fandom doesn't turn their friendship into a rivalry. Besides, now there are plenty of werewolves to go around.

Just days after Nick revealed that he's single, ready to mingle and no longer dating rumored gal pal Selena, Jennifer is dishing that she doesn't think the pair were ever really an item! What?

"I don't think they're dating. I don't know if they were ever dating!" she told E! "I think it was one of those weird rumors. A lot of people always ask. I'm like, I spend every day with her. I don't think that's the case. I think she'd let me know. She and I are both single ladies."

Jennifer, say it ain't so! If those two crazy kids can't make it work, who can? Well, maybe we should examine the evidence of their supposed relationship. It all started last summer when rumors began circulating that the Disney stars were dating. Not only dating, but double-dating with Joe Jonas and then-girlfriend Taylor Swift. But the pair never actually admitted to being an item.

They would mostly say they weren't dating anyone, like they did back in October. Still, we'd like to believe in our hearts that at one point, these two made it happen.

We're sure you're asking yourself: What about that adorable Selena Gomez girl he was supposedly dating? Well, when E! News asked Nick over the weekend about his current relationship status, his response was simply: "Single." In fact, for those who keep track of this sort of stuff like we do here at MTV News, it seems that all the guys are looking for love.

Joe has told reporters that he's single, which was expected given the fact that he recently broke up with Taylor Swift. And although eldest brother Kevin's answer was a bit more complicated (and it led us to wonder about the girl he was recently seen kissing around town), the sentiment was the same: "Always dating, but in the end, single, yeah."

In many ways, the reported breakup of 16-year-old Nick and 15-year-old Selena isn't that surprising, considering all the single talk that Selena has been doing on her own as of late. As early as two weeks ago, the writing was on the wall when Selena was talking about her crush, Shia LaBeouf, and passed along the message: "Let Shia know I'm available!"

Then last week, she told Us Weekly, "Anyone would be really lucky to be dating Nick. And anyone would be lucky to be dating any of them." She added: "I'm not that lucky. I'm not dating [Nick]."

So, with a heavy heart, we're reporting that another great Disney pair are no longer together. Nick and Selena: You will be missed.

Disney star Selena Gomez has long been rumored to be dating Nick Jonas, but just because she's already ordered doesn't mean she can't continue to check out the menu. And the dish that Selena has her eyes on these days is none other than former Disney-star-turned-action-stud Shia LaBeouf.

Selena has been talking up her crush on the 22-year-old star of such flicks as "Transformers" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Last week, the 16-year-old said she'd love to get Shia to make a cameo on her Disney series, "Wizards of Waverly Place." "I've had a crush on him ever since he was on 'Even Stevens,' " Gomez says in the upcoming issue of TV Guide. "It's very far-fetched, but I would love to have Shia on 'Wizards.' "

In the interview she neither confirmed nor denied her relationship with Nick, but she did add some fuel to the fire. "I've gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year," she said. "Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we're not confirming anything."

But last Saturday, on the red carpet for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Runway for Life benefit, Gomez seemed to be willing to cast Nick aside for her crush, according to E! Online.

"Let Shia know I'm available!" she said. Um, maybe you should let Nick know first.

If they are done, perhaps Nick and his brother Joe can commiserate. Last week it was reported that the middle Jonas and Taylor Swift had split. It wasn't too long ago that those four crazy kids were double-dating. Young love can be so fleeting!

But today we got Selena's side of the story, and she says ... there is no story. "There's no feud — there's nothing to feud about, so why start a fight?" she told us.
