Tonight, Motor City welcomes Grammy-nominated Swedish producer/DJ Avicii and manager "Ash" Pournouri as they kick off their "House for Hunger" tour in the US – it's the first of 26 stops in just 27 days. As part of a personal mission to combat American hunger and give back to a nation that they feel has provided them with so much support over the past year, Avicii and Ash will personally donate $1 million of their tour revenue to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization. Earlier this week, MTV News sat down with Avicii and Ash to discuss the drive behind their generous donation.

“When he [Ash] approached me with the idea is just felt really natural, especially to do it in the states because for me personally it’s given me so many experiences and good times,” said Avicii, who was one of MTV's Best EDM Artists of 2011. “It felt like giving something back to a country that’s given me so much.”

Ash explained that news of the recession had initially opened their eyes to the problem, but that they weren’t fully aware that millions of Americas still face hunger issues on a day-to-day basis. Read on for more and to see if the tour is stopping through your town! Read More...

Did you know that we made it back to the hotel at 5:30 this morning?

And that, when we finally woke up this am, it was actually nearly pm? Oh, and our Flixwagon phones are no longer working?

I'm telling you all of this in an attempt to explain why a) Our Saturday Breakfast Briefing is actually more of a Brunch Briefing; and b) we have no video to go with said briefing.

Still, that doesn't mean we didn't actually have a meeting, because after a very hectic Friday night -- including performances by Metallica and Asher Roth -- we needed to regroup, because Saturday is shaping up to be just as big.

For a full rundown of the final day at South By Southwest (Kanye West!), keep reading below. Read More...

[Insert generic Texas-style greeting here], folks! Welcome to Friday at South By Southwest. We're all still recovering from a rather epic Thursday night in Austin -- the return of Jane's Addiction, a beautiful set by Grizzly Bear, booming hip hop from Big Boi, plus tons more (some of it illegal) -- but we're all professionals here, which means that at 9:30 am, we gathered in our hotel lobby for another Breakfast Briefing.

We've got another big day lined up ... including interviews with a band that may-or-may-not be called Metallica, an in-depth sitdown with Grizzly Bear, and sets from Asher Roth and Kid Sister. But, hey, why read about it when you can watch our A-Team describe the Friday for you:

And in case you were worried, yes, Dee eventually got her coffee. Now, let's go!

Morning, y'all. We wrapped the first night of South By Southwest sometime around 4am -- you can read all about Wednesday's highlights here -- which probably explains everyone's sunny demeanor at this morning's planning meeting.

Still, we can't let a lack of sleep get us down ... Thursday is positively packed with shoots, including interviews with Jane's Addiction, Asher Roth, Big Boi and NASA, plus can't miss live sets like Grizzly Bear's anticipated performance at the Central Presbyterian church. Gonna be a doozy of a day. But, hey, we could all be sitting behind desks right now.

Anyway, here's Thursday's Breakfast Briefing, starring Dreamboat Harper, Christopher "CJ" Smith, Dee Caligiuri and Andrew Ross Rowe.

Matthew "Dreamboat" Harper (He's Canadian!) and I give you a preview of MTV News' Wednesday at South By Southwest. Plenty of interviews on tap (the Decemberists! Wavves!!), plus a shopping trip with Kid Sister and hopefully some shows.

Why am I wearing sunglasses inside? I have no idea either.
