By Kathleen Newman-Bremang and Melanie Wolfson

Most interns fetch coffee, file papers and do other mindless tasks, but here at MTV News, we have to be up for just about anything. Today, that meant dancing in front of a green screen. That's right — we were asked (read: forced) to break it down "stanky leg"-style in order to bring Dallas dance moves to the masses.

We kicked off our shoes and jumped in front of the camera as part of a video that imitates dances from the Dallas scene. We're not sure which dance was more embarrassing: the "stanky leg" or the "Ricky Bobby." Both involve moves we never thought we'd be making when we came into work today.

We thought we'd share our experience, because it was just too ridiculous to keep to ourselves. Dancing around like you're in an iPod commercial sounds like fun, right? Try terrifying. We're pretty sure the "stanky leg" turned into "twitchy knee" halfway through the process. Even after watching and rewatching the videos on YouTube, we still don't think we got it.

But when producer Andrew started blasting Biggie's "Hypnotize," we started having a little fun — just a little. That said, we'll probably stick to channeling our inner-Soulja Boy solely in the privacy of our homes.

In the end, "MTV Detox" host Jim Cantiello proved to have more rhythm than both of us combined. He even threw in his best Beyoncé impression! You can check out the video here.

But according to news reports, Kardashian may have hurt her chances on the show before her first fox-trot, now that she's damaged her twinkle toes.

TMZ.com is reporting that Kardashian cut her foot Sunday night, in her New York hotel room. Apparently, she sliced her foot open on a glass coffee table and was then rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital. There's no word on what treatment she received, and it remains unclear whether Kim will be well enough to take the floor.

The mishap couldn't have come at a worse time. The "Dancing With the Stars" lineup announced this morning also features Susan Lucci, Toni Braxton, Lance Bass and Brooke Burke. But in an interview with The Associated Press, Kardashian said, "I will be able to dance. I went to the hospital. I'll be fine."

A DJ battle, a hip-hop dance-crew face-off and a surprise guest appearance by Nas, all in the name of an important cause.

Radio and television personality Miss Info hosted an event called "Rebuilding the Bridge" on Saturday night at New York's Pace University. The charity event was to raise relief funds for the Sichuan earthquake disaster, with proceeds going to the Mercy Corps.

Just Blaze was the DJ for the night, and Nas showed up not only to support the function, but to give props to one of the night's honorees: Rik Cordero.

Nas applauded the music-video director, who recently shot clips for Nas' records "Sly Fox" and "Be a N---er Too."

"Your vision captured everything I wanted to say," Nas said, addressing Cordero in front of the sold-out crowd at Pace's Michael Schimmel Center. " ... We're like the same dude, man."

Regarding the latest video, "Sly Fox," Nas said: "Fox News is just not the place where people should go to express themselves. ... They're not on the side of the normal, righteous human being. They're on the side of ratings and money."

The mood of the evening became the more jovial as singer Ryan Leslie performed "Diamond Girl" and Just Blaze battled fellow turntablist DJ Delinger. One of Asia's biggest pop stars, JYP, also made an appearance, as did star b-boy factions the Dynamic Rockers, the Breaks Crew and the Jabbawockeez.

More than 60,000 people have died as a result of the May earthquake.

The story began two months ago when Adam Sevani (Moose from "Step Up 2: The Streets") and Jon Chu (the movie's director) challenged Miley to "the biggest online dance battle in YouTube history." Miley and her friend Mandy responded with a counterstrike set to Madonna's "Four Minutes," but Chu's retaliation involved celebs including Adam Sandler, Brittany Snow, Diana Ross, Chris Brown and Lindsay Lohan.

Given M&M's far less star-studded video, it had to be over, right?

Well, yesterday — two months from the day it started — Milez and Manderz released another video, one that features appearances by Joey Fatone, Carson Daly, Ryan Seacrest, Michael and Julian Rapaport, Channing Tatum (in Prague!), Chris Kattan and Pedro from "Napoleon Dynamite," not to mention a totally creepy magic trick by David Blaine.

In the words of crackerjack cameraman Brendan Kennedy (who tipped us off to the battle): "I LOVE IT. Oh, and it kept my attention-deficit-ridden brain for all 9:59 of it."

And it's still not over! Watch the latest vid to find out how the crews are going to settle this beef once and for all.

Who do you think will win? AC/DC have some crazy moves, but M&M have, well, Miley.
