Joe Jonas recently sat down with MTV News, and in the middle of the conversation, he recalled what had to be one of his worst days ever. It was a day that included a stolen bike, a ruined ice cream cone and a loss for his favorite baseball team, the Yankees.

Here's the tale of woe, straight from the source. He said, "All the time [I go biking]. Actually, my bike was stolen – it really was. I had a bike; literally it was my best friend. I rode it everywhere and in the middle of the day, it was sunny out me and Nick were shopping in SoHo. I locked it up on Prince and Mercer, so it’s a pretty busy street.

"Locked it up, a good lock, I mean it wasn’t a heavy duty lock," he continued. "And I came back ten minutes later and it was gone ... it’s really tough. I’m OK now, but at the time I was pretty depressed."

Nick, being the good baby bro he is, tried to cheer him up. "Then Nick was like, 'Let me buy you ice cream. It’ll make you feel better,' cause ice cream makes anyone feel better for that five minutes and then you feel like crap afterwards. But then I dropped my ice cream cone on the ground and everybody around me was literally like, 'Awww.' It was so sad."

But, it gets worse. "And then I went to a Yankees game and the Yankees lost horribly," he added. "It was the worst day ever. I was [like], 'Can I just go to bed now?'"

Nick Jonas moved to New York City earlier this year. The move was prompted by his starring role in the Broadway smash "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying."

For some a move to the Big Apple can be a bit of an overwhelming experience. But Nick is a New Jersey native and a longtime theater kid, so his return to the East Coast, after putting up home bases in Dallas and La La Land, has been quite the fun change of pace.

"I’m living here in New York. I have my dog with me, Elvis. I live In Chelsea and I love living there and I love my place," he told MTV News during a recent stop by the Newsroom, where he also dished all about his run on the Great White Way. "It is such a major life change coming from L.A. … and really setting up my world here has been a really interesting experience."

So, what does Nick love most about the Big Apple? "Favorite thing about New York? I think the fact that it's all here all on this island — well in Manhattan, at least — and it's just an amazing city," he said. "The energy here is unlike anywhere in the world, and [there are] so many creative and talented people in this city and so many people that are passionate about theater and the arts and the things I'm really passionate about. Being around those people inspires me in so many ways. I think it's one of those places that you have to live in once in your life and I'm blessed to be here."

Nick Jonas is no newbie when it comes to starring in Broadway shows and big, splashy musicals. He’s already got quite the resume for a 19-year-old.

Currently he stars as the lead in “How To Succeed In Broadway Without Really Trying,” but this is not Nick’s first rodeo. Previously, he appeared in “Les Miserables” (Twice! Once in NYC and again in London), “Hairspray,” "A Christmas Carol," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Annie Get Your Gun."

Additionally, his musical theater chops have been tested on the small screen in two uber-successful “Camp Rock” flicks and a two-time role on the NBC musical drama “Smash.”

With all that experience to draw from, Nick recently told MTV News that he wouldn’t mind, perhaps, working on his own musical. He explained, “I’ve had a couple ideas as to what that could be, but I feel like that’ll be sort of a life project,” he explained. “I’d be willing to take my time on that and make sure it’s great.”

He'd love to adapt a few movies for the stage, explaining that he’s already worked on getting the rights to some of those films to possibly put his Nick stamp on. Then again, he wouldn’t mind starting from scratch.

He breaks it all down in the interview segment, which we included for you below.

What do you think of Nick’s dreams to produce original content for the Great White Way? Let us know in the comments below.

Only weeks ago, Nick Jonas stopped by the MTV Newsroom and shared that he wanted to return to the NBC hit musical drama, "Smash." Well, it seems, his wish is now coming true.

Nick will tackle his bad boy character, Lyle West, once again when he appears on the May 14 season finale of the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He really stirred the pot when he first appeared last month, chewing scenery alongside screen legend Angelica Huston and now, it seems, he’ll get to flex his acting muscles one more time.

"He's a fun character," the Jonas Brother told MTV News in February about hoping to return to the show. "Lyle is very precocious and definitely a bit different than I am in reality. But there are a lot of similarities too: Lyle started off in musical theater [and so did I]. That's how he knows all the people involved in 'Marilyn' [the musical at the center of the show]. ... He's a fun character; I hope he can come back again."

"Smash" revolves around the drama of staging a splashy Broadway show. In real life, Nick currently stars in one, as the lead in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying."

As Nick Jonas prepares for his debut in “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying,” he’s opening up to The Advocate about his history on Broadway, as well as his future on The Great White Way.

When asked if he’d ever consider going au natural on stage, like his “How To Succeed” predecessor, Daniel Radcliffe, he didn’t completely rule it out. “I love theater and I understand the difference between acting and who you are as a person. I don’t know that it’s something I would’ve done in the end, but I definitely would’ve considered it,” he said laughing. “You have to be open to everything.”

Nick does seem pretty open to a lot of stuff. He says that growing up in Broadway shows has always meant that he’s comfortable around gay people. While he clarifies that none of the JoBros are gay, he adds that they totally love their gay fans. “It was definitely cool when we realized that, because the more you can grow your audience, the more people you can impact. They’ve been incredible over the years,” he said. “My brothers and I totally look forward to meeting them, because they really respond to our style, and it’s cool to see how our influence has impacted what they’re wearing. They also give really good gifts at our meet-and-greets — hats, scarves, and other things. They always have good taste.” Read More...

She's taken the stage with her kids, but it's the guys that Britney Spears brings on stage to perform lap dances on that really make headlines. On Monday night, Joe Jonas ended his run opening for Spears in Europe and she rewarded the singer for all his hard work with a private lap dance during her song "Lace and Leather."

"What a great night! LONDON! you rule! what a way to end the @britneyspears tour," he tweeted, before this shout out for his Femme Fatale, "And.. @britneyspears thanks for the strip tease.. ;) "

Joe is, of course, only the latest recipient of Spears' sexy dances. Over the course of her last two tours, the singer has given some of her high-profile pals – and pals with benefits – a lap dance. Read More...

Sure Nick Jonas is prepping for a 2012 leading role in the hit Broadway musical "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," but does that mean we really won't see any new music from the Jo Bro any time soon?

The answer, in short, is yes. With a bustling career on the stage and behind-the-scenes working with artists like Charice and Greyson Chance, right now, Nick confirms to MTV News, he's more focused on writing for others than writing for himself.

"You know, I don’t really have any plans right now to release any of those [songs] on my own, but what I think is really interesting about this year is my focus really has been on other people," he told us earlier this summer. "[I'll be] using all that I've learned over the years and hopefully creating some great music for other people."

Full disclosure: I've been following the career of the Jonas Brothers for years now, so this clip of Joe Jonas being a very mature (and shirtless) with a girl in a hotel room in Paris is kind of like seeing my little brother's totally hot friend in a whole new light.

(Note to my little brother's friends, I don't think any of you are hot.)

That said, Joe's clip for "Just In Love With You" seems super steamy. And we're super into it. A teaser just dropped and it features Joe and his leading lady, Angele, being all in love and cuddling around in bed together. The teaser only lets us know that Joe is in Paris, romping around with Angele and that he has to leave soon. (Cue the tears!)

So, we're gonna imagine 5 other things we'd like to see happen before he bids au revoir to Paris. And they're all work-appropriate. We promise! Read More...
