Remember when George from "Seinfeld" declared it was the "Summer of George"? Well, it seems that Justin Bieber is declaring this summer (or at least the next month) the "Summer of Biebs." Hey, we're totally into the idea of some vacation time for him. We think that Bieber totally deserves some time off considering just how much of a whirlwind his life has been for the last couple years.

Now that he has some time on his hands, we're thinking up some (mostly brainless) ways for Bieber to fill up that ample free time. And, surprisingly, owling and planking did not make the cut.

He’s already pretty skilled at drums and guitar, so we're thinking that Bieber can maybe learn the underappreciated French horn. We'd love to see him wail on that thing.

Nothing says "I Love You" like a gift made with your own two hands and nothing really says "I Love You" like a crocheted piece of art. Bieber should take some time to work on a needlepoint gift for Selena.

Justin Bieber

From MTV RapFix:

Nobody will accuse Kanye West of being the most likable of major music stars, with his much publicized outbursts in the media and abroad enabling many to label the Chicago superstar of having an ego the size of the Sears Tower. However, it appears that Mr. West has one fellow megastar buddy who happens to think he’s not as bad as he seems.

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber defended his friend and past collaborator in an interview with XXL in the magazine's July/August issue, and Biebs gave ‘Ye the ultimate cosign.

Find out what he said, after the jump. Read More...

Producer Jim Jonsin recently revealed to us that he'd love for Justin Bieber to channel the ultra smooth pop of the New Kids On The Block on the next batch of songs he puts out.

Since Biebs recently dished to MTV News that he's working on new music and the fact that boy bands are having a moment right now thanks to the success of the NKOTBSB tour, we're totally into that idea.

Justin's silky vocals are very reminiscent of Joey McIntyre's back in the day, so having him get into that groove feels about right to us. Even though Jonsin did note that he doesn't want him to literally cover the New Kids, just to take inspiration from their tunes, it got us thinking: What NKOTB songs would be perfect for Justin to cover?

"Step By Step"
Anytime we get to hear Bieber count the reasons why he loves us in a song, it signifies musical gold to me. Am I right people?

"Right Stuff"
We'd love him to sing this song, if only to learn the New Kids shuffle and perform it LIVE in concert.

Justin Timberlake

Nobody wants to be just a singer or actor anymore. You're nobody in this world until you have your own product line, whether it be swim suits, cologne, nightclubs, top-shelf liquor brands or energy drinks.

And while it makes perfect sense for a wildman rocker like Sammy Hagar to launch a line of high-end tequila, or for beatmeister Dr. Dre to launch a line of booming headphones and laptops, sometimes those celebrity/brand marriages are a bit murkier.

Case in point: the announcement this week that Justin Timberlake has bought a minority stake in once-hot social networking site Myspace and that he'll be taking on the role of creative visionary at the relaunched company, which was bought at a fire sale by a West Coast tech firm. Yes, Timberlake has proven to be a triple threat as actor, singer and label boss, not to mention a fashion maven with his William Rast clothing line.

That got us thinking about other male music stars who've made bold deals with companies that might have seemed bizarre at first, but turned out to be among the best moves they've ever made.

50 Cent and Vitaminwater: Laugh all you want, but 50 has been savvy all along about his non-music ventures. From his G-Unit sneakers and clothing line to various PlayStation games, book imprints and RGX Body Spray, 50 has always looked for new opportunities. None has paid off like his deal with Glaceau, which hooked up with the rapper for the Formula 50 supplement drink. When Coca-Cola purchased Glaceau for more than $4 billion in 2007, 50 was estimated to have earned more than $100 million on the deal.

Justin Bieber

Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are currently the reigning king and queen of pop, for argument's sake. So it makes sense that the two biggest pop stars around have hooked up with Google Chrome for endorsement deals. And in a lot of ways it also makes sense that both videos pay homage to their respective pasts, since in many ways these two stars are really shining examples of the digital age we live in.

They are the definition of what it means to go viral, and their ads each shed some light on that very notion. Gaga debuted her video a while back and on Wednesday night, Bieber premiered his. So how do the two videos stack up? Read More...

This summer, Justin Bieber is going to take some time to just chill out. As he shared on Today on Thursday, his big plans are to just have some fun, relax and start work on a new album. Luckily, we had the pleasure of catching up with Bieber on Thursday in NYC at an event celebrating the launch of his new fragrance Someday, and he dished on what his favorite thing to do in the summer is.

"Favorite thing to do in the summer?" he pondered for a moment. "Have barbeques."

The answer was actually kind of surprising, since it pretty much confirms there isn't much of anything that Bieber can't do. Between singing, dancing, being awesome and his fledgling acting career, the fact that his skills as a chef are only matched by Food Network star Bobby Flay leads us to believe that he's nearly perfect.

We repeat: nearly. Read on to find out what Biebs isn’t so good at. Read More...

Lady Gaga

By Danielle Genet

The world let out a big sigh last night when Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber appeared on stage together last night at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada. However, unlike their big smooch at the 2011 Billboard Awards, the couple toned down their PDA and shook hands while Bieber teased to Selena,“Nice to meet you. You’re very beautiful. Maybe we can go out some time.” Beiber kept up the joke, later tweeting, “and to that young lady @selenagomez - great job and it was a pleasure meeting u.”

Bieber picked up two awards last night. He and Drake split the Best International Video of the Year by a Canadian prize for “Somebody to Love” featuring Usher and “Find Your Love,” respectively, and picked up the award for the fan-voted Ur Fave New Artist for “Somebody to Love (remix).” Biebs graciously thanked his fans on Twitter, leaving them with this message “Dont forget where you come from ... and always show love to home. I LOVE CANADA!!! THANK YOU. GREAT NIGHT.”

Those in attendance were also treated to not one, but two performances by Lady Gaga, who opened and closed the show. Gomez, co-host of the show, introduced Gaga as the “Queen of Pop – Mother Monster” before Gaga stormed the stage to perform renditions of “The Edge of Glory” (re-enacting her music video, Gaga danced on a balcony and fire escape set) and “Born This Way” (the hatching theme returned in the form of a cocoon, along with three different outfits, original music video choreography and a blood soaked finale). In between performances, Gaga took to the stage to accept awards for International Video of the Year – Artist for “Judas,” as well as the fan choice Ur Fave International Video for “Born This Way.”

Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne didn’t go unnoticed either, accidently dropping the F-bomb during her performance of “What the Hell.” Read More...

Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun

Justin Bieber, Usher and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine came out to party together on Saturday night. And just what occasion were they celebrating? Well, they were all on hand as Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, celebrated turning the big 3-0. The par-tay took place in Los Angeles, where Braun was roasted by his pals, including the night's MC, Usher.

Other attendees included Asher Roth, Kim Kardashian, Mary J Blige, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Jaden Smith, Wilmer Valderrama and Rita Wilson. Those who couldn't make the party but recorded well-wishes for the music mogul included Will Smith, Diddy, Ludacris and Keri Hilson.

Not only was there food and revelry, but there were also some A-list performances from The Dan Band, Usher and, yes, Bieber, who played drums and performed "Baby," as well as "Never Say Never" with Jaden.

But who turned up for the night's big surprise? Read More...
