They're the boys from Germany who can induce screaming in teenage girls and in copy editors alike. They're former winners of the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. They have sold millions of albums in their home country, the United States and across the rest of the world. And they're back. Today, MTV News exclusively premiered the first snipped of Tokio Hotel's new single "Automatic," which comes from their highly-anticipated new album Humanoid. Based on the portion of the new song, the album — which hopes to follow-up on the stunning success of their breakout hit Scream — will likely be a departure for the group and venture into larger, more complex songs.

But we've already weighed in on "Automatic," so now it's your turn. We hit the streets outside the MTV News offices in New York City's Times Square to play the snippet for some people (including a handful of people eager to get into the studio audience for today's episode of "It's On with Alexa Chung") and get their opinions on the new tune.

The results may be fantastically unscientific, but Tokio Hotel should be very pleased nonetheless: A full 71 percent of the people we polled gave the new song the thumbs up. In fact, many people expressed their endorsement in spite of themselves, saying that they don't normally listen to that type of music but could see themselves cranking up "Automatic."

What do you think: Is Tokio Hotel's "Automatic" a winner or a waste? Leave your thoughts in the comments below or head on over to Your.MTV.com and make your voice heard!

Last week, Hollywood Crush took a look at the relationship between "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Were they actually dating? Were they only putting on a show? The duo attended a Kings of Leon concert in Vancouver (where the pair have just begun filming the third installment of the "Twilight" series, "Eclipse") over the weekend and were spotted holding each other close like an actual couple. But the signals remain somewhat split, which is why we hit the streets to find out what the public thought.

We polled a handful of people milling about New York City's Times Square (including a handful of fans waiting to get in to today's edition of "It's On with Alexa Chung") and asked them: Are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart really dating?

The grotesquely unscientific results are in, and it's a landslide: Over three-quarters of those asked (a healthy 76 percent) believe that the two are in fact an actual couple. The people who thought so tended to give the pair credit for strategy, saying that they are probably just trying to play it cool and keep it away from the media rather than try to live their relationship out in public. A number of those among the 24 percent who said that they didn't think Pattinson and Stewart were an item also actively rooted against such a relationship. In any event, the two will have plenty of time to figure out their situation, as they'll be stuck with each other — and also co-stars Taylor Lautner and Bryce Dallas Howard — while filming for "Eclipse" continues over the next several weeks.

Well, folks, it looks like we're gonna have another Kardashian to keep up with.

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are taking shape, as the full list of nominees is out and the group of performers and presenters is constantly expanding. In addition to Green Day, Pink, Taylor Swift and Muse, two new acts were booked for the main stage of the biggest show of the year: Jay-Z and Lady Gaga were both confirmed today. It's the first trip to the VMAs for Gaga, who has had a huge year and is up for a total of nine Moonmen at the ceremony for her clips for "Poker Face" and "Paparazzi." On the other hand, Jigga is no stranger to the VMA stage. Though we still don't know what songs either artist will perform (or who they may be performing with), but it's an interesting head-to-head. One is a wacky fashion-conscious diva and the other is a hard-working hip-hop icon. Who will have the better performance? We decided to hit the pavement and talk to some of the folks around Times Square waiting to get into today's episode of "It's On with Alexa Chung" and found out what their projections were.

The fantastically non-scientific results are in, and they are overwhelming: 70 percent of those we talked to were convinced that Lady Gaga would have the better showing at the VMAs. In fact, a number of people insisted that she would have the greatest performance of anybody that night. Most of the respondents focused on Gaga's showmanship and fashion sense, but the ones who defended Jigga were attached to his experience and skill.

What do you think: Will Lady Gaga blow Jay-Z off the stage at the 2009 Video Music Awards, or will Jigga write himself another chapter in the MTV history books? Leave your thoughts in the comments or head on over to Your.MTV.com to make your voice heard!

Porn used to be complicated: You had to go to a seedy theater or sneak home with a tawdry magazine in order to get your fill of flesh. The idea of seeing celebrities in the nude was limited to desperate Hollywood hunks who tried to grab headlines by appearing in Playgirl and the occasional piece of after-party video that would instantly become legendary (like the one made by the Go-Go's). Now, a combination of easy access to cameras, the speed of the Internet and the questionable decision-making processes of younger and younger stars, it's not very hard to see your favorite famous person in some state of undress. The Internet has been buzzing for the past few days about the nude photos of "Twilight" star Ashley Greene and the second set of pics that show "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens in various scantily-clad poses. Their lawyers and representatives are quick to respond, but the damage is ultimately done.

Or is it? Do nude photos of celebrities — especially particularly young ones — change popular opinion of them? We took to the streets and talked to some of the groovy kids in the audience for today's episode of "It's On with Alexa Chung" to find out what they thought about seeing stars in the buff.

The laughably unscientific results show that it's a fairly even split, with 56 percent of those asked saying that naked pics do indeed change their opinion of the stars in question (and almost entirely in a negative direction). The most common response cited the fact that these celebs are considered role models, and those types of photos set a bad example for kids who look up to them. For the 44 percent of those who said no, most of them sympathized with their over-exposure.

When it was announced that Megan Fox and Robert Pattinson both won the Choice Hottie award Sunday night at the Teen Choice Awards, there was one question on our mind: Which one is hotter? So, we took it to the street and asked you, the people: Who's hotter, Pattinson or Fox? And the results were clearer than ever.

Our extremely unscientific poll results show that Megan Fox is the true choice hottie, with 75 percent of the votes. Pattinson received only 25 percent. This is very surprising, considering the fact that nearly 90 percent of the people polled were female. (We actually tried to find more guys to poll, but "American Idol" winner Kris Allen was on Alexa Chung’s show, where we conduct these rigorous surveys, so the crowd was mostly excited young girls.) Even more surprising: Some of the people polled mispronounced Pattinson's name (Patson) or didn't even know who he was.

Someone had to win, and I'm sure Robert Pattison wouldn't mind the loss. It's not like he lost to just anybody — he lost to Megan Fox! Let us know what you think of the poll. Who do you think is hotter?

In the wake of John Hughes' sad and premature death, we can't help but examine the iconic oeuvre of the prolific filmmaker. Hughes' films shine in their persistent popularity among today's youth, many of whom cite "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Pretty In Pink" among their favorite films of all time. Though his most famous works pre-date this viewing population, the sincerity and innocence of these films transcend generations with their universal appeal.

Eschewing the trademark sassiness of the Oh Snap! Poll in favor of a more appropriate tone, today's poll is a tribute to Hughes' legacy.

Our stunningly unscientific poll results show that the "Home Alone" movies have a special place in our hearts, achieving a plurality of 42%. "The Breakfast Club" came in at a close second place with 33% of the vote, followed by "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" at 17% and "Pretty In Pink" at 8% (underrepresented in my opinion.) Read More...

That Britney Spears has been nominated for three Teen Choice Awards should come as no surprise to anyone who's been keeping an eye on her over the past year. Her epic and seemingly ever-expanding Circus tour thrilled fans across the globe, to speak nothing of her risqué single and accompanying video "If U Seek Amy." We all expected an appearance on the show, most likely in the form of an acceptance speech, but it seems Britney will grace the stage Sunday (and your television Monday on Fox at 8 p.m. ET) with a full-on performance.

Thrilling! One can only hope that it will hold a candle to the Circus show for which she has been nominated for Choice Music: Tour. Delete season one of "Ugly Betty," because this is high-priority TiVo material.

We caught up with some of the kids lined up for "It's On With Alexa Chung" this morning to see just how psyched they are to catch this performance:

Our incredibly inaccurate polling techniques revealed a resounding chorus of support, citing her status as a pop icon as reason enough to watch Britney do her thing at the Teen Choice Awards. While 67 percent can't wait to tune in, 33 percent claim to have better ways to spend a Monday evening. Some dissenters told us they're sick of Britney's media hyper-saturation; others claim Britney isn't a good role model for teenage girls and therefore shouldn't have been selected to perform in the first place. And one girl might ditch the whole thing for the 10th anniversary of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

Hey, a million bucks is a million bucks, right?
