Our close personal friend Brad Pitt is backtracking on some comments he made to Parade magazine about his relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. Per usual, people are dissecting his words and projecting their personal feelings about his divorce from Aniston and his relationship with Angelina Jolie onto his quotes.

Since we refuse to get involved in tabloid bulls**t and create more fan fiction out of a six-years-dead marriage (the more you know: Pitt and Aniston divorced SIX years ago), we decided to bite the bullet and call up Angie Jo and William Bradley for comment. (Note: We did not call Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie.) Much to our surprise, Brad happily conferenced in Jen – they really do have an "important relationship," y'all – and we got the real story.

(We did not get the real story. All quotes are courtesy of previous interviews Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston have given on the topic.)

John Mitchell, editor, MTV Newsroom Blog: Hey Brad, how are you?

Brad Pitt, famously attractive actor: "I’m satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much."

Mitchell: That's great. What's the word, Angie?

Angelina Jolie, temptress, world-famous humanitarian, Oscar-winning actress: "I don't trust anyone." (source)

Mitchell: Girl, don't be like that! I imagine all this press is infuriating six years later. Do you need a hug?

Jolie: "I'm not a hugger. It's something that I have a hard time with. If someone hugs me, I hold my breath. Snuggling, cuddling, hugging, crying ... all that stuff makes me very uncomfortable."

Mitchell: Noted.

Jennifer Aniston, America's sweetheart, successful film actress, smartwater spokesperson: "Hello."

Mitchell: Jen! Thanks for calling in. How are things?

Aniston: "Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I’ve thrown a little pity party for myself? Absolutely. But I’m also doing really well." (source) Read More...

Though there are a handful of high-profile films opening at your local cinema this weekend, you should really do your best to get out to one of the few theaters that are screening it and see "Black Swan." It's an absolutely stunning accomplishment, full of striking images, deft storytelling, creepy effects and some genuinely impressive performances. But if you've already seen it (or can't get into a theater because shows are still sold-out wall-to-wall), then you have a few alternatives. If you're into epic flights of fancy, the latest entry in "The Chronicles of Narnia" hits theaters today (the full title is "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," which you should definitely spout in its entirety when buying a ticket). There's also the Julie Taymor-directed Shakespeare adaptation "The Tempest," the Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg boxing flick "The Fighter" and the lush, sexy drama "The Garden of Eden."

However, you need look no further than "The Tourist" for that deft combination of thrills and star power. The international espionage thriller is directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (he of "The Lives of Others") and stars Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, perhaps the two biggest stars in the world. The twisty plot involves Depp's character (the titular traveler) being mistaken for a spy and dragged into a web of intrigue that sees his life threatened on multiple occasions (it's sort of a riff on "North by Northwest"). It's jam-packed with boat chases, shootouts and good-looking people, which makes it an ideal distraction from whatever holiday shopping you have left to do.

In order to properly prepare yourself for "The Tourist," check out the music video playlist below. There are homages to travel and nods to spies, but it's mostly a tribute to the movie's two stars. Johnny Depp played in a band called P (immortalized by the Rentals' classic single "Friends of P") and Jolie has appeared in a number of music videos, including Korn's "Did My Time" and the Lemonheads' "It's About Time."

"They were talking about me on 'The View,' talking about me and my Angelina Jolie tirade. Can I just say that I've been making fun of Angelina Jolie since she made out with her brother? If I've learned nothing from this, it's to write new jokes."

-Late night talk show host, stand-up comedienne and 2010 MTV Video Music Awards host Chelsea Handler, addressing her newsworthy rant that made her a topic of conversation on "The View" on Monday morning (December 6). At a stand-up performance over the weekend, Handler lit into Jolie, referring to her as a "f---ing b----" and a "f---ing homewrecker" for "stealing someone's husband." Handler is good friends with Jennifer Aniston (the pair recently went on vacation together in Cabo over Thanksgiving) and was apparently calling out Jolie for seducing Brad Pitt away from then-wife Aniston back in 2005 because "he's hot and she has crazy sex and she cuts herself."

Handler addressed the issue on her show on Monday night, dismissing the whole scenario with a reference to Jolie's unusual public kiss she shared with her brother James Haven at the 2000 Oscar ceremony (where Jolie won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in "Girl, Interrupted"). It's not the first time she has gone after Jolie — she previously took shots at the actress in her 2008 book "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea." As she proved during her hosting stint at the VMAs, Handler is no stranger to controversy and is in fact comfortable taking down famous people.

If this weekend sees you traveling to the cinema, you have a handful of excellent options. For the family, there is "Ramona and Beezus." For anybody who wants to catch up with the dominant conversation in film at the moment, "Inception" is still readily available for you. And for an action-packed spectacular featuring one of the most talked-about stars in the world, there is "Salt." The Angelina Jolie-lead spy flick packs in a ton of twists and turns as well as a series of amazing car chases, explosions, fights and stunts. In the wake of the actual Russian spy case that just went down in the news, "Salt" seems like a particularly timely tale of espionage. Plus, nobody kicks ass quite like Jolie.

In fact, in order to prepare for the intensity, you should probably take a spin through the video playlist below. It pays tribute to "Salt" in a number of different ways, with nods to secrets (Madonna's "Secret," Queens of the Stone Age's "The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret"), Russia (Rihanna's "Russian Roulette") and lots of songs about sodium chloride (the Thermals' "Pillar of Salt," Band of Horses' "The Great Salt Lake," Modest Mouse's "Ocean Breathes Salty").

But we kick things off with a tribute to the woman who has made "Salt" possible. Jolie has been a top-level star for years and an incredibly adventurous actress, but it's the badass roles in movies like "Wanted," "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" and "Hackers" that have made her a true superstar. The Bravery probably agree.

Rihanna
When we saw how hot Rihanna looked in her tuxedo at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala on Monday night, we were reminded that she's certainly not the first chica to turn fancy menswear into an androgynous fashion statement. Here are some of our favorite ladies to go black-tie in the public eye:

Celine Dion: For the 1999 Academy Awards, the diva mixed things up by opting for white and then, apparently styled by by Kris Kross, she wore the jacket backwards! Let's not even get started on the hat.

Madonna: Of course, what Madonna wore at the 2005 VMAs was greatly overshadowed by the fact that she made out with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

Everyone wanted to look amazing at this year's Oscars, and it was definitely a night for actresses to grace the red carpet in red or some shade of white. Some people did it right, while others left a lot to be desired.

Here are our picks for best and worst of Oscar fashion:

Best

Sarah Jessica Parker: The "Sex and the City" star loves to look like a ballerina, but she knows how to do it right and make sure she looks sexy.

Natalie Portman: Breaking the night's trend of red and white, she showed up in shocking pink. Portman looked sophisticated and fresh. Read More...

Given the false alarm that happened weeks ago, when someone told "Entertainment Tonight" that Brangelina's twins were born, it's no wonder everyone was skeptical about the announcement that the new Pitt-Jolies made their big debut Saturday night. But this time, we have confirmation from Dr. Michel Sussmann, who told The Associated Press that he delivered a boy and a girl via C-section at around 8 p.m. (France time) at La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France.

The boy, Knox Leon, weighed just over 5 pounds, and the girl, Vivienne Marcheline, weighed 5 pounds. The actress, her twins and Brad Pitt "are doing marvelously well," Sussman told AP.

Earlier on Saturday, In Touch reported that she'd had her two girls at 6:45 and 7 p.m., according to "sources" at the hospital. Oops.

Of course, the world's hunger for photos of the couple's fifth and sixth children will soon be sated: French newspaper Nice Matin reported Sunday that they've already sold the rights to Knox and Vivienne's first photos to an unnamed U.S. publication. Proceeds will go to charity.

In the meantime, congrats at last to Angie, Brad, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh!
