In a fast-moving digital world where catchphrases and memes disappear 20 minutes after they're declared cool, it must be especially frustrating to be Kanye West. It has now been two months since he crashed Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, but the rest of the media world refuses to let West forget about it. West has apologized to Swift (both in public on national television and in a private phone conversation) and stayed out of the public eye since that fateful night at Radio City Music Hall, but it seems like any time anybody has an awards show, it crops back up again. In fact, getting interrupted during an awards show moment is now simply called "getting Kanye'd."

Case in point: On last night's Country Music Association Awards show, co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley were in the middle of a bit when they were interrupted by Grand Ole Opry legend Little Jimmy Dickens, who stepped up to the microphone and said, "I'll let you finish later. I know you had a nice video and all, but Taylor Swift made the best video of all time. Of all time!"

Just a few weeks ago, Katy Perry got into the act while she was hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards. During the announcement of the nominees for Best Urban Video, Perry dropped in once Kanye's name was announced and said, "I'mma let you finish, but this is the best awards show interruption of all time. Of all time!"

And a mere week after Kanye stormed his way into infamy, he was the butt of a handful of jokes at the Emmys, including Justin Timberlake slipping "I'mma let you finish" a speech and actor Ken Howard saying, "I will make my speech as brief as possible in the hope that it won't be interrupted by a congressman or a rapper."

In the wake of the initial incident, Kanye's visit to the stage became an incredible photo meme that still refuses to die and also crossed paths with the Joe Wilson "You lie!" incident (which is almost entirely forgotten by the rest of the world).

And it's not like Kanye invented the idea of crashing awards shows. Who could forget Ol' Dirty Bastard, Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford, "Soy Bomb" or any of the other legendary stage crashers? Kanye West's legacy as a producer and performer was already in tact, but now it looks like he'll have "The Kanye" at the top of his resumé for a while.

Every day a multitude of stars wanders through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

There's something about a star in an airport that is always sort of appealing. Perhaps it's the one true thing that equalizes celebs with everybody else, because even if an actor or musician is booked in first class, that person still has to pass through security and wait by the gate until boarding. And as Rihanna showed the world yesterday, she has the same philosophy as a lot of people when it comes to flight attire, erring on the side of comfortable and casual. The singer made her way through the security checkpoint at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York yesterday, dressed in an giant gray zip hoodie and comfortable-looking jeans. It's a far cry from her usual fashion-forward outlook (and miles from the get-ups in her new video "Wait Your Turn (The Wait is Ova)"), but it's refreshing to know that she doesn't feel the need to go over-the-top all the time, especially when the unpleasantness of air travel is involved.

Rihanna wasn't the only jet-setter yesterday, as Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz made his way through Tegel Airport in Berlin, Germany, on his way to the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards, and Carrie Underwood found herself in New York performing on "Good Morning America." Click here for these pictures plus the entire "Spotted!" archive, which features nearly 400 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Adam Lambert, Justin Timberlake, the Jonas Brothers, Katy Perry and Mariah Carey!

James Brown was always called "the hardest working man in show business," but Britney Spears could certainly make a case for for that title (she'd be the hardest working woman, of course). She has a career-retrospective album coming out in a few weeks, and she's done dozens of dates on her high-energy Circus tour. Now she's taking it internationally, as she has a 14-date run through Australia starting on Friday. Yesterday, she found herself at the airport in Los Angeles to make her way out of the country, blend into her security detail and sip on a cup of soda from Taco Bell. It's a long flight to Perth (where Spears has a two night run in that city's Burswood Dome), but Spears has proven that she has the reserves to overcome her jet lag and to deliver a great show.

Travel was big for stars yesterday, as Robert Pattinson greeted fans in Japan (along with "New Moon" director Chris Weitz), while Carrie Underwood hopped to New York to promote her newest album on "The Late Show with David Letterman." This morning, Adam Lambert tweeted that his eagerly anticipated debut album would be out on November 24. The album — which includes production work from Lady Gaga producer RedOne and Green Day sonic mastermind Rob Cavallo — creates an interesting four-way battle between four former "Idol" contestants, as Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen and Jason Castro will all be putting out records on the same day. Allen of course won this past season's competition, while Underwood has arguably been the most successful "American Idol" victor. And Castro was the laid-back, dreadlocked charmer who shrugged and smirked his way through the show's seventh season. Each album should satisfy a different demographic, but it should be an interesting referendum on which "Idol" has the most staying power.

But which one will people actually buy? We hit the street to ask fans in Times Square which album they would go for first.

The hilariously unscientific results are in, and it's Carrie Underwood by a mile. The country star took home 61 percent of the vote, with many people endorsing the quality of her voice and her crossover status. Lambert came took second place with 23 percent, with many people choosing his style as the thing that would push him over the top. Allen and Castro brought up the rear with eight percent each. There really should be a lot more interest in Allen's album, as he is the most recent winner, but the success of Underwood is a good sign.

Carrie UnderwoodSure, Carrie Underwood might have won a couple of awards, including Entertainer of the Year and Top Female Vocalist, at the Academy of Country Music Awards last night in Las Vegas, but the "American Idol" champ really had people talking thanks to one fashion choice (see our full Country Music Awards red carpet gallery here).

Carrie wore a few different looks for the show. For one, Carrie rocked a short, white, ruffled halter dress. Carrie also donned white when she graced the stage in a mini one-sleeve dress. She hit the carpet in a belted, pale-pink, one-shoulder Grecian-style dress. Backstage earlier in the day, Carrie wore a black dress with a red belt. In another backstage shot, she's wearing a short, black, asymmetrical dress with bow detailing. Read more...

Every now and then, we at MTV News wonder not about the Postal Service but about the postal service. Like, how much longer will it take for us to Get With The Times and pay all our bills online? How many more months until grandma learns that electronic mail is the way to go, and stops expecting us to send her "letters" that strain our distant memories of cursive? What greater purpose could there be left to snail mail...??

Well, thanks for filling the void, "American Idol"! Because today we have been happily reminded that the purpose of ye olde-fashioned mail is clearly...to have something to stick an "American Idol" stamp to. And here we have the chance to unveil to you the very latest in that prestigious line of sticky squares fit to make the American Philatelic Society proud: Ms. Jordin Sparks!

And because we care about you, we've posted all the other stamps in "Idol" history after the jump. Read more...

Kim Stolz and MTV News producer Vanessa WhiteWolf were sitting aboard an American Airlines flight, row 36 (yeah, that’s the new first class), returning to NY from the “Speed Racer” premiere shoot in LA. Flipping through the new InStyle, Vanessa started reading the cover story on Carrie Underwood and got to something so troubling that she elbowed Kim, who was engrossed in her way more highbrow New Yorker...

KS: What??

VW: Check out the opening of this interview: “It’s 5:30pm and Carrie Underwood hasn’t eaten all day...[T]here’s a platter nearby piled with sandwiches. But Underwood sips a diet soda and nibbles on a Weight Watchers bar instead. ‘Everything shows up immediately right here,’ she says, pointing to her tummy.”

KS: Are you serious? So depressing.

VW: Right? And it gets worse: “Some days I step out of the shower, put my lotion on, and I’ll be like ‘Ugh, ew, ew.’” I’m getting the impression that she hates her body.

KS: That’s so horrible. [looks at the pictures] She’s so skinny! Oh great, am I fat? [nervous laughter]

VW: I know!

KS: It’s a little disturbing.

VW: And completely irresponsible.

KS: Girls who look up to Carrie Underwood are going to read that she has these body issues, see how skinny she looks in the pictures, and think that they must look horrible.

VW: What is she thinking?

KS: I get that the goal is partly to show that even someone like Carrie Underwood can get insecure. But I think this is gonna do more damage than good.

The rest of the feature doesn’t get much better. Read Carrie's truly disturbing health tips, after the jump. Read more...
