"Murderers and dictators generally are some of the smartest people out there — they just use their brain power for evil purposes. I don't condone any of their evil behavior, but I was asked about their intellectual firepower ... and in my opinion you can't have a low IQ and wreak that much havoc on the world. What Hitler succeeded in doing was deplorable. And I hope we never see such an abusive use of power again."
-Former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day clarifying comments she made about Adolph Hitler and Fidel Castro being "brilliant." O'Day was a guest on the Fox News show "Hannity" on Monday night (August 31) to talk about a recent United Nations report about sex education that suggests that masturbation be taught in schools. (The show regularly welcomes celebrities to discuss the issues of the day.) A former political science major, O'Day talked about an experience she had visiting Cuba and attending a seminar with Castro. She called him "brilliant," and Hannity immediately called him a "murderer," which led to O'Day's comments about Castro and Hitler.

"I think that my Playboy photos express very strongly my nature as a woman. They were classy, they depicted the parts of my body that I love, and I felt completely beautiful and secure and empowered by them. There's been so much speculation and competition between the two MTV girls, and I had heard that Spencer made a statement about it, but, I don't know, I think mine's still the winner."
-Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day discussing how her Playboy pictorial stacked up against that of fellow MTV star Heidi Montag. Unlike Montag, O'Day got completely starkers for her shoot, and she suggests that if Montag goes back to Playboy again (a suggestion she is open to), then she should go the full monty. "You know you can take a million pretty pictures, every celebrity girl has taken a million pretty pictures," O'Day told MTV News. "But it's like: Which pictures are really going to stand out and be iconic, and which pictures are just pretty pictures that are here today, gone tomorrow?"

Any fashion show that seamlessly combines ballet dancers, a performance by Kat DeLuna and hot models clad in sequins, ruffles and platform shoes cannot be bad. But when that fashion show has not only models but the likes of former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day and Pamela Anderson gracing the catwalk, it can only get better.
That's what Christina, Micaela, Mary and I got to experience last night at the Richie Rich show at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. First we met up with Aubrey backstage, where she was getting made fabulous in hair and makeup. The backstage area could only be described as a hot mess of Richie Rich and his crew of scenesters, models, drag queens, Davis from "The Real World: Denver," Aubrey and us. Pamela was apparently getting beautified at an undisclosed locale in the hotel.

We know that Dawn Richard is trying to figure out her life now that Danity Kane have called it quits. We also know that Dawn is a huge comic book fan — she even has her own comic book — and she'll have the distinct honor of being our Comic-Con correspondent in New York this weekend.
We know that we're going to get to see a lot of her journey on the new season of "Making the Band," but we were sure that there were some things that the cameras didn't capture.
So here, in her own words, are five things you didn't know about Dawn Richard.

There's a lot going on in the world that doesn't necessarily get addressed in our Newsroom blog. Here's a look at some top stories -- from us and others -- making headlines today.
A lot of you have sounded off on the fact that Danity Kane are apparently kaput. Throw your comments into the ring!
"Twilight" alert! Do you think that Lucy Hale would be a better choice for "New Moon" than Dakota Fanning?
Kanye West sent out one of his classic all-caps missives about — what else? — himself!
Barack Obama has inherited a whale of a record collection at the White House — that hasn't been updated since 1981. What albums does Obama need?
Over in movieland, check out our exclusive "Race to Witch Mountain" clip!
And for video game heads, see us get hands-on with Sega's ultra-violent "Madworld"!
Aubrey O'Day has shared a lot of valuable information about her life with us. She told us about her plans for a solo record. She discussed her future, or lack thereof, with "Making the Band." She talked about her sexuality and her obsession with Miley Cyrus (though the two are not necessarily related). She complained about Perez Hilton being mean to her on his blog. And, let's not forget, the Pop Week MVP also confirmed that she posed for Playboy.
But there was a moment during our interview when Aubrey got really real with us, sharing something we actually weren't prepared for. We're going to disclose it to you now, but we're not sure you're going to believe it for yourself.
Aubrey brought her faithful dog, Ginger, to the interview. That seemed innocent enough, until ... well ... until Aubrey told us about "love fests" (her term, not ours) she likes to have with her dog. And then Aubrey and Ginger sort of made out with each other before our eyes. It's really sort of hard to describe, but if you can handle it, see for yourself.

There was a time — say, back in the 1980s — when a major pop or movie star appearing nude in Playboy was truly shocking, a career toss-of-the-dice that could rocket you to Page One or drop you into sad obscurity as a has-been making the final swirls around the career shower drain.
Of course, plenty of A (and B and C and, sorry, D-list) celebrities have posed for the magazine over the years in the hope that the buzz would kickstart their careers or comebacks, from former cover-girl Pamela Anderson to actresses Drew Barrymore and Kim Basinger, ex-MTV VJ "Downtown" Julie Brown and, er, professional wrestler Chyna.

It's certainly no secret that sex sells, and that today's audiences are ripe for, er, titillation. So could it be that Aubrey O'Day is using her claims of bisexuality to gain more press and exposure?
Ms. O'Day is undoubtedly media-savvy enough to know that such a claim is going to get her attention and yet more media exposure — which certainly could be the motivation behind her recent claim of bisexuality. After going to a couple of parties with girls and reportedly referring to one as her "girlfriend," it makes sense that Aubrey might see that as a way to keep attention on herself as she works out her post-Danity Kane career.
So what do you think? Is Aubrey really is bisexual, or is it a ploy for attention? Sound off below!
According to UsMagazine.com, Tuesday night's dismissal of Danity Kane members Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods came down to image. Dawn Richard, one of the three remaining members of the group, told the site that Sean "Diddy" Combs "did not like [O'Day's] image ... where her image was going for the group."
It seems O'Day's recent spread in Complex magazine, for which she posed topless, was the final nail in the coffin, especially after the band's new endorsement deal with Dollhouse Teen, which Richard said "is for 13, 14-year-old young girls. So, we can't do that one day and then the next day do an obnoxious cover ... [Diddy] wants the fans, and he says he can't do that if we can continue to go in the direction that we were going."
Check out what else Richard had to say about the Danity Kane dismissals here.
So it was O'Day's provocative image that got her axed? Does anyone else find this incredibly hard to believe? Look at any of Danity Kane's videos, and you'll notice those girls do not dress like matrons. Danity Kane is, after all, a pop group, and whether Diddy wants to admit it or not, sex sells pop music — and a lot of other things.
Do you think there's more to this split than Danity Kane's members — or Diddy — are willing to let on? Let us know in the comments section below.

On Tuesday, Diddy kicked out both Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods from Danity Kane, for getting caught up in Aubrey's publicity-hungry web. Although D. Woods said she'd be moving on to another group, Aubrey never said what plans she has now that she's on her own. But Diddy announced that he plans to do another season of "Making the Band," so do you think we've seen the last of Aubrey, or is she already plotting her return to the group?
