Perfection is more or less impossible, even in the world of sports. Except for a select few instances, all streaks come to an end and all records fall. But in professional football, one accomplishment has stood the test of time, as the Miami Dolphins are the only team in the history of the NFL to have a completely undefeated season. On this day in 1973, the Dolphins beat the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII to win the championship and finish their season with 17 wins and no losses.

The Dolphins' unbeaten run was lead by coach Don Shula, quarterbacks Bob Griese and Earl Morrall (Griese hurt his ankle a third of the way through the season) and running backs Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick. None of those headliners were truly spectacular players, but their workmanlike approach under Shula's offensive system made them a formidable force on the field. They truly dominated on defense, as they recorded three shutout victories over the course of the season. Save for a 52-0 rout of the New England Patriots (more on them later), many of their wins were close affairs, and their run through the playoffs was even tighter. After finishing the season 14-0, the Dolphins toppled a strong Cleveland Browns team (lead by Hall of Fame running back Leroy Kelly), then slipped past a strong Pittsburgh Steelers squad (one of the few times the combination of Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris didn't win the Super Bowl in the 1970s). When the final game rolled around, the Washington Redskins put up a good fight but couldn't get their offense working (quarterback Billy Kilmer threw an interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter, essentially sealing the team's fate).

Every year, members of the 1972 Dolphins squad have a champagne toast when the final undefeated team is beaten over the course of any season. A few squads have flirted with the record over the last three decades (both the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans brushed up against perfection in the past decade), but the closest anybody came was the 2007 Patriots team, which went undefeated during the regular season but lost Super Bowl XLII to the New York Giants. In honor of the Dolphins and their perfect record, let DJ Khaled shout "We the best!" at you for a few minutes.

"Ain't nobody have that impact since Tupac. Lil Wayne is a genius and he's a great person. He's always showed love to everybody. You can't say anything bad about Wayne. So when he was on vacation, it didn't feel like he was gone. He dropped the album and it went #1. He was in every video. It was just as big. Now he's home. When he was on vacation, he was that powerful. Imagine what he's about to do."

-Mixtape impresario and producer DJ Khaled, discussing the amazing accomplishments and impact Lil Wayne had even while he was behind bars. Khaled spoke to MTV News' Sway during Thursday afternoon's (November 4) edition of "RapFix Live" and likened Wayne's exit from prison to Tupac's.

The legendary Shakur spent just under a year in New York's Clinton Correctional Facility in 1995, and while he was inside he released Me Against the World, which spent five weeks on top of the Billboard album chart. Wayne dropped I Am Not a Human Being while he was incarcerated for eight months, and like Me Against the World, it went right to the top of the chart. Following his release, Tupac released All Eyez on Me, the first ever double album in the history of hip-hop and another chart-topping multi-platinum notch in his belt.

What will be next for Wayne? Will he release a double album? Collaborate with new producers? Will he resume his obsession with guitars? Only Weezy knows, and as soon as he is done with his busy weekend, you can almost certainly count on Wayne being back in a big (and Tupac-esque) way.

It's Friday, and you know what that means: It's time to prepare for the cinema this weekend. A number of eclectic pictures open up today, including the Queen Latifah/Common romantic comedy "Just Wright" and the Amanda Seyfried-starring chick flick "Letters to Juliet." But if your vision of summer consists of action, drama, archery and speeches by Russell Crowe, then there's one choice for you this weekend. "Robin Hood," directed by Ridley Scott ("Gladiator," "Alien") and starring Crowe and Cate Blanchett, tells the origin story of a great English folk tale. The stories surrounding Robin Hood are essentially about the empowerment of the public over tyranny, and the character's signature move of stealing from the rich to feed the poor is an almost saintly bit of heroism. "Robin Hood" turns the story into a piece about guerilla warfare and puts Crowe in the title role.

Such a sprawling action epic requires the right soundtrack, so while you get ready to shout along with Robin, Friar Tuck, Maid Marion and Little John, take the video playlist below for a spin. You can explore Robin's core philosophy (Jane's Addiction's "Been Caught Stealing"), dip into some tunes about Robin's weapon of choice (Jupiter One's "Flaming Arrow," ABC's "Poison Arrow") and check out how Robin's right hand man's namesake is doing (Lil Jon's "Get Low"). There are also a few nods to elements from the movie, including the famous forest (Sherwood's "You Are"), Friar Tuck (Hootie & the Blowfish's "Tucker's Town) and the one of the reasons for Robin's rebellion (Erase Errata's "Tax Dollar"). There's also N.E.R.D.'s "Lapdance," just because of the "I'm an outlaw" lyric.

But let's begin with DJ Khaled, who reminds us something that Robin probably would agree with: "I'm So Hood."

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this past weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live" was not that the 88-year-old Betty White appeared in every single sketch on the show or that it appears as though even Jay-Z thinks "Young Forever" is sort of flat (though it was charming that he dedicated the tune to the host). No, it was the fact that said episode of the show was made possible by an online campaign that started on Facebook. Following White's attention-grabbing performance in a Super Bowl ad, the petition went forth requesting that White appear as the host of the show. Millions of people spread the idea around and wrote about it, and apparently the virtual shouting was loud enough for "SNL" producer Lorne Michaels to hear, as he booked White for the show and the rest is history.

But now that the people behind White have scored their victory, what's next? Knowing that the power of a Facebook campaign can actually influence how things operate in the real world, let's take a look at some ongoing Facebook petitions and see if we can spot another surefire hit.

Petition For DJ Khaled To Limit "We The Best" Usage
Goal: The administrator would like producer and mixtape master DJ Khaled to cut down on shouting "We the best!" on his tracks. Not stop, mind you — just limit.
Odds: Slim. Even if the group gets enough supporters, it's unlikely Khaled will slow down with his catch phrase. After all, Diddy is still yelling "Bad Boy," and it's been 15 years.

The Petition For Season 4!
Goal: Fans of the FX show "Damages" want a fourth season of the show.
Odds: Moderate. According to an Entertainment Weekly report, the critically-acclaimed bur ratings-challenged (and expensive) series, which stars Glenn Close as lawyer Patty Hewes, may be getting another go-round on DirecTV.

Canada Is The Best Of The U.S. And U.K. Worlds
Goal: The (presumably Canadian) author simply wants acknowledgment that his home nation is actually the best aspects of the United States and the United Kingdom combined.
Odds: Non-existent. Read More...

It's not the biggest surprise on the world, but DJ Khaled is predicting that Rick Ross' Deeper Than Rap will be the primo album in the land come tomorrow.

Khaled also spilled the beans that his Miami friend is already working on Deeper Than Rap's follow-up. "I'm probably not supposed to tell you," Khaled joked while on the set of Ace Hood's "Overtime" video. Khaled worked closely with Ross on Deeper Than Rap, serving as the project's A&R, and hinted that fans can expect more of the same from the Boss' next opus.

Meanwhile, Khaled will continue to work with a plethora of other Def Jam artists. (He's the president of Def Jam South and has his own label, We the Best, which Ace is signed to.) Look for Khaled to be sliding beats to acts such as Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Fabolous and new singer Cherlise.

Man, can I get a minute to land?

Coming back from the Grammy Awards early Tuesday morning — like, 1 a.m. — turned into a very anxious few hours. I was sitting right behind Lupe Fiasco while my man Sway was a few rows up sitting by Robin Thicke and Ashford & Simpson (you should have seen how many Louis Vuitton bags the legendary pair pulled off the luggage conveyer belt).

I'm getting too far off the subject now. Right before I got to baggage claim, I got the call from a homie in L.A. saying that the local news was reporting that Chris Brown was involved in a car chase with the cops and he had a gun to his head threatening suicide. I damn near lost my breath.

Fortunately, that rumor was quickly debunked ... only to be replaced by another rumor. By the time I get home, I got an e-mail saying that the Cali news was reporting that DJ Khaled was driving the Bentley being chased by the cops. Damn. This night is never going end. Read More...
