Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with our intrepid correspondents. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

For a while, it looked like Gwen Stefani would be running circles around her husband Gavin Rossdale as far as musical output went. Since the break-up of post-grunge hitmakers Bush, Rossdale took some time off, toyed with a new collective called Institute and pursued a solo career (which yielded a surprise hit in the track "Forever May You Run," which was co-written by Linda Perry). All the while, Stefani had broken free from No Doubt, dropped two beloved solo albums, made a bunch of guest appearances and even got her old band back together. But since the return of No Doubt, the band has toured but not released any new music. In the meantime, Bush put together a new album called Everything Always Now that is scheduled to hit stores later this year, and Rossdale has been seen just about everywhere lately. On Wednesday (October 6), he stopped by the Grove in Los Angeles to help launch Hot Wheels R/C Stealth Rides, a new line of toy cars (and favorites of his two sons).

Rossdale wasn't the only star out in the street, as Busta Rhymes helped celebrate the 10th anniversary of BET's "106 & Park" in New York and Nicole Richie signed copies of her new book "Priceless" in Los Angeles. Click here for these photos as well as the entire "Spotted" archive, which features over 500 candid shots of stars like Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, Eminem, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, the Jonas Brothers and Katy Perry!

After an eight year hiatus, Bush are back together. The British post-grunge band who stormed the American charts with smashes like "Everything Zen," "Little Things" and "Machinehead" from their debut album Sixteen Stone have returned to the rock scene with a new tour and a brand new album called Everything Always Now (which should hit stores in October).

Nearly a decade has passed between Bush albums, and as Rossdale explained to MTV News' Matt Elias in the studio in Los Angeles, his writing has evolved profoundly since the release of 2001's Golden State. "You don't want to repeat yourself," Rossdale said. "I've thought a lot that if I repeated myself, I might have been more successful. Had I done Sixteen Stone over and over again, I might have been much larger."

His method now draws from an unusual source of inspiration. "It's more of a hip-hop approach," Rossdale said of his process. "I start with the drums. I set a vibe and I write off that mood. I used to write songs acoustically, like folk music, but I got much more into creating a mood."

Rossdale is no stranger to collaboration. His post-Bush band Institute featured co-production from Helmet's Page Hamilton, his solo album featured team-ups with Linda Perry, the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart and Garbage's Shirley Manson, and he has recently appeared on tracks with Apocalyptica and Carlos Santana. But with his new love for starting with the drums, would he consider a true hip-hop collaboration?

Bush will get the chance to play its new music for the world when they play the Epicenter Music Festival in Fontana, California, on September 25.

What hip-hop artist would you like to see Gavin Rossdale work with? Let us know in the comments!

It already sort of makes sense to mention former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale and "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson in the same sentence, as they're both hot guys from England. But after tonight's episode of crime drama "Criminal Minds," there will be another way the two will cross paths: They'll both have played sexy vampires.

"Criminal Minds" star Matthew Gray Gubler dished to MTV News about Gavin's cameo on the show, revealing that Mr. Gwen Stefani will embrace his rocker roots and go for the jugular in the episode which airs tonight at 9 p.m. CBS.

"He may or may not be [a killer]. He plays a vampiric sort of rock star who may or may not be killing people to hype his album," said Gubler, who plays FBI profiler and psychologist Dr. Spencer Reid. "I'll be honest: I've noticed that [vampire] craze as well and no [we're not trying to cash in]. The thing is that [vampirism] is actually a pretty common delusion."

He went on to note that since rock stars and vampires seem to have pretty similar schedules (minus the whole blood-sucking thing), it makes sense for Gavin to try the role on for size. "So if you're going to pick something to fit a rock star, I think we went more with what are the odds of what he would be that cinematically interesting to watch and rather them him being a pedophile," he explained. "They went with rock star."

Yesterday, tennis sensation Roger Federer won Wimbledon in an epic battle with Andy Roddick. A whole host of records fell during the over four hour match: Federer served up a personal best 50 aces and took Roddick to the longest fifth set (it went 30 games) in Wimbledon history. But most importantly, Federer's win represented his 15th Grand Slam title, which breaks Pete Sampras' individual record.

One of the best parts about watching the Wimbledon final (or any championship match featuring Federer) is that you can bet that Gavin Rossdale will get plenty of TV time. He's friends with Federer and often sits next to Federer's wife during matches. The former Bush frontman is a skilled tennis player himself (he also could have had a career playing professional soccer), and also happens to have had a minor hit last year with his first official solo album Wanderlust, a ballad-heavy outing that featured an excellent little tune called "Forever May You Run."

Now that Scott Weiland’s reunion with the Stone Temple Pilots is finally official, what’s next for Velvet Revolver, the band the singer was booted from just last week? Already, guitarist Slash has promised a third record from VR, and he even said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone that the band's got a few fellas in mind to take over behind the mike.
