This Sunday (January 16) will mark the end of an era. As of 8 p.m. Eastern time, the Hannah Montana character will be officially retired, as the final episode of "Hannah Montana Forever" will have rolled its credits (the show airs at 7 p.m. Eastern). The long-running show has been an incredible ratings magnet as well as the launch pad for the career of young Miley Cyrus. It has been an especially interesting ride for Cyrus, who began as an unknown but blossomed into a mutli-faceted dynamo, capable of setting TV ratings records, topping the Billboard album chart, filling arenas for concerts and driving fans to cinemas for her films. Of course, Cyrus has a huge career in front of her, full of film roles and hit singles.
But even though "Hannah Montana" is a kids' show, it is a pretty remarkable piece of meta entertainment. It's a show about a famous girl (played by Cyrus) who consciously wants to lead a "normal life" and thus subverts her actual celebrity persona. If you think about it, it's a pretty mind-bending concept, which is why it deserves an equally twisted finale. Here are six ways "Hannah Montana Forever" should end.
The "Twin Peaks" Finale
It is revealed that Hannah Montana is actually a body-jumping being who is capable of possessing multiple people. In the show's final shot, Cyrus stares maniacally at herself in the mirror while stabbing her reflection.
The "Lost" Finale
It turns out that everybody was dead from the beginning, and there's a bunch of religious stuff hanging around.
The "St. Elsewhere" Finale
The camera pulls back after the last scene to reveal that Cyrus' character only exists in a snow globe. The whole show has been hallucinated by Cyrus' older brother Trace while waiting to go on stage for a Metro Station show.
The Reverse "Hills" Finale
After the final scene, Cyrus turns to the camera and reveals that the whole show was actually a documentary. Also features a cameo from Lo Bosworth.
The "Frasier" Finale
Just kidding. Nobody remembers how this show actually ended.
The "Sopranos" Finale
As Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" plays in the background, Miley and father Billy Ray share a basket of onion rings. Without warning, the screen goes black.

Yes, first-daughters-to-be Malia and Sasha Obama are about to move into the most famous 132-room, 35-bathroom house in the world, complete with a bowling alley, movie theater, jogging track, swimming pool and putting green. Big deal. The commander in chief of stage daddies, Billy Ray Cyrus, dropped a hint recently that the girls have been asked to appear on "Hannah Montana" sometime in the spring (around the same time the "Hannah Montana" movie hits theaters). Given what big-time

Despite being the world's most famous (and richest) teenager (not to be confused with Dick Clark, the world's oldest teenager), Miley Cyrus just couldn't replicate the
Miley Cyrus sounds like she's ready to dump the wig and call it a day on the set of "Hannah Montana." The 15-year-old singer/actress has hinted that she's ready for the third season to be the last for the show that made her a mega-star. Oh, and there are more kissy-face pictures of her out there, and a condom company has offered her $1 million to appear in an ad campaign. Just sayin'.
